To date, BMW's B48 engine isn't known for issues, 150kW is a safe but generous amount for a 2.0T engine.

It has Air Intake Temp issue. Aftermarket heat-exchangers and radiators are selling out like crazy.

Keen on the M35i once it’s launched, the size inside these is more than enough, great use of space.

    Sounds like a smartstream engine

Nice. 7.1s to 100. Quicker than claimed by 0.3s.
The gearbox does seem a bit slow though?

This engine is more suited to the car than the 18i, especially at load on an incline. How much does the consumption really differ ?.

Probably a metric best featured in Paul’s videos, but I’d really like to see more of a street start acceleration figure included, sort of what you are getting at by including the without launch control
But seriously who the hell is using launch in anything
No stall no brake hold, just in regular Drive and light goes green and floor it, representative or actually driving and flooring it and see how different the times can be in some cars, I’ll bet small capacity dual clutch cars will have a massive difference, and my car zero LOL

Yes, we've been including non brake-hold/launch control figures for a while now. That is, simply flooring the throttle off the mark. Is that what you mean?

Ma questa versione 20i xdrive non la fanno più, fanno la 1500 da 170 cv con modulo aggiuntivo da 48v

X1 is that absolute base model?

    • @PDriveTV
      @PDriveTV  ปีที่แล้ว

Not quite. In Australia the base model is the sDrive18i. We have a video test of that coming later today.

Was the car cruising under 1000rpm at 110kph 🤯🤯

My guess is it was probably in its most efficient mode. My older F20 1 series and my current Audi S3 both go into idle when you’re off throttle in efficient mode.

It disengages its transmission for fuel efficiency, probably at 110km/h it will be at 1700 ~ 1900rpm range I guess

Sounds like it's got rod knock under hard acceleration 😳

Hmm, my 2020 BMW X1 20i xDrive is faster than this... I clock 6.9 seconds 0-100 kph, and i've even done a 6.7 when conditions were perfect?
