You are just as photogenic as anyone else is and I want those encyclopedias so badly!!!!!! Omg!!!! I have the first one...thankyou yet again Ms Marilyn!!!!!
Thanks for the video. It’s ironic that US Games have so few historical decks in production considering the vast contribution of Stuart Kaplan to cataloguing historical decks. It’s also unfortunate that they no longer print Kaplan’s books either. Hopefully they change their approach to how they do things now that their cash cow is public domain. I sincerely hope they do. By the way, you look great in video, don’t feel nervous. Thanks again.
Hello :) Right? It's really ironic. As I was preparing to do the video I realized how they have these great volumes by Kaplan, yet so few historic decks. I've been begging them for years to do any TdM in a tin. Thank you for saying I look ok on video. It doesn't come naturally to me but I know it's important to 'show up' every now and then. ~ Marilyn
One day I would love to own all those volumes by Mr Kaplan. The first deck I had the pleasure to have and work with is the Angel Tarot by Stuart R Kaplan. It is purely TDM and has a brown /orange hue. It's nice to see your collection, look forward to watching some of your other videos when I get chance. 🙏💜🙏 Edit: I do have volume 1 💛
Hello :) Thank you for watching and I hope you do check out some of my other videos. I don't have the Angel Tarot by Kaplan and thank you for reminding me of it. Sometimes you can get lucky and find the harder to get volumes on eBay or even Amazon. Until I scored them all I routinely checked everywhere including thrift stores and libraries! I bought each of them for well below typical prices, but it took years. Thank you for commenting xoxo ~ Marilyn
I'm interested in the Hermetic Tarot but only the Majors because I work in the Eudes Picard system of minors and they don't match this deck (I've done that with a few decks but save the discarded minors incase I want to pass the deck on at some point.) I'm considering doing this with the Thoth but I'm not sure yet - I love both decks and would like to use their Majors with playing cards as a separate minor arcana (I basically lay out a Major or two as the theme and then dot some playing cards around it to give extra detail.) It seems a shame to discard such beautiful minors though!:-)
Hi Marilyn your video came up again in a search for videos on historic tarot so I watched it again lol. Would you ever consider doing a cursory overview of the Encyclopedia of Tarot volumes? The collection looks fascinating but not all of the volumes are available.
It’s cause we love seeing your smile. ❤️
What a kind thing to say. Thank you xoxo ~ Marilyn

A very nice lady, thanks for sharing your knowledge. It is a pleasure listening you.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy to share. I love talking tarot!

That's a great idea for making them work for you! ~ Marilyn

That's a great idea. Thank you for suggesting it. I will try to do that this coming week. ~ Marilyn
For someone who is primarily concerned with historical decks would you say Encyclopedia Vol 1 & 2 are sufficient?
Yes, probably. I have all 4 but 1 and 2 are the ones I reach for the most.
