Thanks for the information, comparison and love for these decks, I love the Flornoy restorations and the Marseilles type 1 tarots. I just bought the Noblet and I am delighted, the color, the drawings and the changes of the traditional deck are wonderful.
Flornoy seems to be one of the gold standards for meaningful restoration. I love my Flornoy decks also! Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn
Flornoy not only graced us with his decks but also his unique insights into the psycho-spiritual evolution of the individual through groups of the Major Aracna. These are some of my favorite decks and I’m currently restoring the Vieville deck including the Minors. I’ll be happy to send you a copy when it’s done. Also, if I may, I would like to recommend a new (new to me) Tarot author who actually has one of Flornoy’s decks, the Provot playing card deck, featured in a recently translated work by Etteilla called “ETTEILLA on The Only True Way to Draw the Cards” (1773), translated into English by Marius.
Omgosh, thank you for your offer. That's something wonderful to look forward to. What ambition you have! Oh yes, Flornoy nailed it in each of these decks. He truly sacrificed nothing by breathing new life into them. I will look into the Provot Playing cards, thank you for that insight. xoxo ~ Marilyn
