Yogurt sucky bags with screw tops that little kids have in their school lunches are great for oils and fats as most other containers incl' snap lock bags and many screw top containers will leak.
Any suggestions for keeping possums or rodents from raiding your food? Obviously cleaning up any scraps and rubbish, but are there any storage methods that work best...like the bear canisters in the US or tough sacks. The best suggestion that I’ve found so far are low scent bags, but I don’t know how well they really work...I don’t want any critters chewing through our packs or worse breaking into our tent to reach our food bag.
Maybe a little late, use a hanging bear bag. Plenty of TH-cam videos showing you how. Throw all scented wipes, deodorant, toothpaste, all the personal hygiene products mainly in the bag as well as trash. Tie it over a limb a good distance (a video will show). Stay safe
Great clip. I have shared it with my Duke of Edinburgh students.
Awesome, thanks Ian. Glad it's helpful.
Thanks Caro, some really great ideas

I love this woman 😍...who is she?
She had a channel 'lots of fresh air'.
She's awesome! One of our Macpac ambassadors, Caro Ryan, with a wealth of content around hiking. Check out her TH-cam channel "Lotsafreshair"
Do you still have your macpac bivvi? They stopped selling it
