For me the Book of Amos confirms something that the world is trying to hide from us today and that is who the real Hebrew Israelites were and who their not. Bcuz remember that the true Hebrew Israelites were the true chosen people of The One True Creator. Today we are all looking up to some people who claim to be the Hebrew Israelites but when you read Amos 9 -7 it actually tells you a very different story. And when you accept Amos 9 -7 as a fact it makes it easier for anyone to understand what Deuteronomy 28 is talking about and it also confirms all the talk about slavery in this Book of Amos. In Amos 9 -7 the Ethiopians have been mentioned but I want those who don't know to understand that, this is not the Ethiopia of today that The One True Creator is talking about here. Here Ethiopia means a particular group of people and this people are brethrens of the Hebrew Israelites and there have been inter-marriages among this two group of people throughout history and including stories in the Bible. Don't take my word for it just do your homework and find out first what Ethiopia means and second which group of people were the Ethiopians then I am sure everything will start to be clear, if you are a honest truth seeker. Deuteronomy 28 really confirms and for me that makes Amos 9 -7 a very powerful verse, that was actually prophesizing what both the Hebrew Israelites and the Ethiopians will go through in the hands of their enemies. And today all this prophecies have come to pass and the Hebrew Israelites and their Ethiopian brethren have gone through and are still going through, exactly what The One True Creator said it will happen to them from the hands of their enemies. Today their enemies are trying very hard to change the story and hide the truth about these people and they are even projecting themselves in the story replacing their victims. Practically hiding and camouflaging the truth with their lies. But if you are a honest truth seeker this verse coupled with Deuteronomy 28 will open your eyes to see through all this carefully crafted lies and smokescreens. This people have even changed the religion of the Hebrew Israelites and their Ethiopian brethrens of strict monotheism into a ridiculous religion of a triad god head. Some people are claiming to be what they're not and they are hiding their crimes against the people of The One True Creator. When you check the tectonic plates you will find out that the so called middle-east is actually North East Africa.
May The One True Creator increase us all in knowledge and understanding. And May The One True Creator Continue to Bless Mama Africa Always. HOTEP 🙏🏿
PS. CHECK 2 KINGS 19-9 & ISAIAH 37-9 . HERE THE BRETHREN OF THE HEBREWS, THE ETHIOPIANS WILL COME TO THEIR RESCUE FROM THEIR COMMON ENEMY. AND WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THESE PEOPLE IS CONFIRMED BY HISTORY. HISTORICAL FACTS ACTUALLY CONFIRMS WHAT THESE VERSES REALLY, REALLY WHERE TALKING ABOUT INSTEAD OF WHAT WE WERE TOLD. TRUTH MATTERS.

The book of Amos begins with and ends with the mention of an earthquake. This is appropriate as Amos is about to turn the world (of the North) upside down. Amos used as his tool satire. The book of AMos is a short book but powerful which resonates to this day.

    ISAIAH 30 - AMOS
“Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.” (Isaiah 30:10)
    WORDD BY: FATHER
"What does it mean to be a messenger? To be a messenger means to speak truth in love regardless if it offends people. Many cannot do this because they do not want to rock the boat too much for the sake of peace. But is it really peace they are keeping, or is it false peace because they are afraid of reactions? By not standing up for righteousness and speaking truth when you should, you help settle others into delusion, and prevent them from receiving the light they needed. I never asked you to please everyone but to be a faithful mouthpiece for Me. How do you know they won’t remember your words in the days ahead in which may save them from disaster? Being a messenger of light you will often offend people because of your love for the truth. But you must not be disheartened by this for My Son above all knew the greatest rejection. Your vision is not to save the world but to be a light. Therefore, when I send you on the field to minister as I sent Amos, you are going there to sow, to water and to harvest. Leave the rest in My hands.
What does it mean to be a receiver? It means to listen to My voice through others; not just when good things are spoken, but when corrections and rebukes are given. If you view rebukes as a good thing you would yearn for them as any wise man would because you know the spiritual value in them. He who welcomes rebukes has made himself a disciple, for rebukes are a way of life. We cannot walk together unless you are in agreement with this. But if you stay in humility, receiving words when given and giving words when I speak them, then you will walk in the fruits of your harvest."

    Excellent work.
One pressing critique is that you don't mention Amos's intercession on Israel's behalf and God's resulting repentance (chapter 7). The prophet often seeks to change God's mind about the coming disaster (e.g., Exodus 32), so this seems to me to be an important aspect of the text. And in chapter 7, Amos succeeds in bringing about divine repentance for the first two visions. For example:
“O Lord God, forgive, I beg you! How can Jacob stand?
    He is so small!”
    The Lord relented concerning this;
“It shall not be,” said the Lord.
That point notwithstanding, I'm impressed with this video!

MLK junior is the role model. I think he was a Baptist Christian. He helped the blacks and challenged the injustice of society and somebody killed him. MLK Junior did the I have a dream speech. Rumor has it that it was improvised which means God could have given him.

This is awesome. Last week I felt directed to study the book of Amos as a single project, in addition to my other Bible study. And lo and behold, I found your site. I've studied Amos before, but not like this.I am old, my eyesight is going, , and it's difficult to READ, so I appreciate your audio and visuals. I use BIBLE GATEWAY extensively, using multiple translations to deepen understanding (NIV, KJV, NKJV, ESV, etc). I will be going back to my Bible and continue studying every word of Amos for the next few weeks or so. My Bible is THE CHRISTIAN LIFE BIBLE (NKJV) by Nelson Publishers which has 52 step by step guidelines for living the Christian life. It has the best organized, systematic Bible studies. This Bible is out of print, but worth looking for. It changed my life. It's difficult to find a God-centered church nowadays, and even more challenging to find a group of people who are interested in Bible study. So, thank GOD for giving us YOU,, BIBLE GATEWAY, YT and the INTERNET. God bless you. MARANATHA!

You offer wonderful insights in all your videos. I specifically listened to this one hoping you would elaborate on "the earthquake". It must of been a significant event because it's mentioned in the opening verse of the first chapter...
"The words of Amos... two years before the earthquake"
    Amos 1. 1

It's terrifying to think about how much harm was done torward Black people in our society during the slave trade, and that so little has been done to make restitution for it. God was harsh with his words about how he would enact his Justice on the ancient Israelites for being unjust in that way, think about what that means for us.

Thank you for this video. Looking at the sins of Israel from the bible, I realised it is just a mirror and shows how terrible a sinner I am. I am equally stiff necked, stubborn and keep sinning just like the God's people of the past too. I'm hopeless. Thanks for explaining to us the context and historical background. Your explanation of the book of Obadiah is very clear too.

Thanks for the Great reviews videos. They really breakdown the chapters to relate visually. My only suggestion is that make sure you're not capitalizing the idol "gods" with a Capital "G" like in Amos video when you illustrated Israel made all the idols to worship. You capitalize them as Big God's ...no no there is only one true God over little gods as in idolatry. There shall be no other God before thee non that you worship. 1st Commandment
