For anyone reading this who may have a similar issue, I just changed mine on my 2005. One of the bulbs did NOT want to come off, at the clip or from the housing. I had to get a pair of pliers to rotate the bulb so it would come out, and then I had to use the pliers to pull it out of the connector while I held the tab with my other hand. It's tough because there's so little room to work in and I have big hands, but it did come off. Once it's off, putting in the new one is a piece of cake.
This was very helpful to me my hands and arms or thick , to get in the tight spaces . But i glad i had faith to do it my self . Thank to your help . Now i know i can do at least that my self .
NEVER touch the glass part of the new bulb. Oils from your fingers can (and do) create hot spots on the glass and cause premature bulb failure. If you accidentally touch the glass, wipe it clean with alcohol and a clean tissue.
Same thing with replacing sparkplugs, they show you the easiest one like on a 4 cylinder car but hardly anyone will show you doing it on a V6 where you have to remove the plenum such as Mitsubishi Montero 😂
I'm having such a hard time ! my passenger side is out & I can't get the white bottom piece off of the broken bulb. it's like it's stuck on there or something.
Are you referring to the white connector that has the wires in it? If so, it may work to spin the bulb and remove it BEFORE removing the connector. It might be easier to remove the connector from the bulb after that.
@@FixEverythingYourself the white thing that you have to push the tab in towards the car & take off from the bulb. I've tried everything. it just will not come off. it sucks because I was pulled over today for a missing headlight so I'm trying to get it fixed asap. can't afford a shop to do it & my oil change place tried to do it but their hands were to big.
Skip that step for now. Instead, leave it connected to the headlight and see if you can turn the headlight like I show in the video. If so, pull the headlight out of the hole, and the connector will still be attached. It'll then probably be easier to press that tab (it releases the connector from the bulb) and remove the bulb.
@@FixEverythingYourself yes I did that also. I tried taking the white thing off with the bulb still in the hole & with the bulb out of the hole. idk if I'm not strong enough but I'm pretty strong & you look like you had no issues removing yours. I think mine is just stuck. is there another way I can access the bulb ? do you think removing my bumper would help ? if so, is the bumper easy to take off & put back on. thank you so much for your help ! I hope I am not bothering you.
Not a bother 🙂. Sometimes they are tough to remove from gunk getting on them or whatever. Maybe try pressing the tab with one hand and using a flathead screwdriver with the other hand to try pushing it off. You need to be careful not to break the connector with the screwdriver, though. Another thing to try is wiggling the connector side to side with the tab depressed while also pulling on it. Lastly, you could try using a pair of pliers to PUSH down on the connector while pressing the tab. You're not using the pliers like you'd normally use them; you're using them to press on two sides of the connector at once and maybe that will give enough force for the connector to finally break free. One other thing, make sure you're depressing the tab enough for it to disengage. Sometimes you just need to squeeze harder on the tab. But yes, sometimes those connectors are hard to get off.
Thanks I was able to replace my mother’s headlights with more powerful lights. It’s a game changer for driving at night. Thank you!
Good job!
Thank you for such a clear, precise explanation.
You're welcome!

Could i install a bulb that’s a white light (Led)?
Yes if it's the right size. There's usually info in the listing or on the package as to which vehicle it fits or which bulb number it's equivalent to.
Thanks 🙏
🙂👍
So our 2006 needed replacement bulb size H11 not 9006
