    My girls just learned this form. I do not believe it is enough to do the dance but to try and perfect with practice and understanding. One of their instructors shot the link to this to me. I have to remember to thank him and of course my thanks the folks that took the time to share their knowledge and skill to help hone the skills of the girls and everyone else as well. The details of each move and stress on posture provided are missed by so many, especially if you are in a large class with less one-on-one opportunities with the instructor.

    • @ImortalZeus13
      @ImortalZeus13 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not a dance.

    • @joe3921
      @joe3921 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImortalZeus13 Perhaps you do not understand what it means to speak metaphorically. What you commented on is a perfect example as just about everyone knows is is not a dance. If you still do not understand, let me explain. “Do the dance” means to perform in a specific way or do something specific with a set of steps. You can probably Google it for an even better example. You’re welcome for the education on the use of speaking metaphorically.

    I show respect to those great Taekwondoka who 1- practice hard 2 - practice what they teach 3- recognize their system is compact enough for a 10 year old to reach black belt - there are many such great practicioners of the art, masters of kicking and punching. All martial arts are different, different heritages, diferent amounts of Sylabus, some for different purposes, even different styles of same martial arts, should not be compared. because One - we dont live in war states, we dont beat each other up for food or flag, Two - there were all made for different purposes. So chose your purpose, then you'll find your martial art.

      @@absolutdenarius7728 You're welcome. That's all for Taekwondo pumsae there. Besides this, we got three Gojuryu Karate-like katas there (Karate Kid/Cobra Kai franchise), named Hakutsuru-ken (by Miyagi-Sensei), Seiyunchin (by Daniel Larusso) and Kanku Dai (by Samantha and Robby). The last one is well known in many other styles like Shotokan, besides the more traditional Okinawan ones.
      Of course, it's only choreographical, so we don't expect a good martial performance of the actors. And from all those, there are just parts of them by the movies and series.
      And that's all I know about pumsae/kata there :)

    nice vid and good clean production values. I had no idea KuKiWon had a channel. favorited! 40 years later, I'm still proud of my belts. Love Koryo but 3rd degree form Taebek is still my favorite. my only comments are a) that was the most dispassionate knifehand groin strike/grab I've ever seen (we leaned in a bit) and b) we were taught to pause on the I-part a little differently. nice to see how you "officially" interpret it.

    I really liked teaching this form it has a little bit of everything in it. :) Good Times back in the day. Stopped at 3rd.D. taught 5yrs after that I really loved teaching, and learning I taught myself the rest of the forms 5th D on up on my own with a little help from the internet and Books: ) Very Cool video with the back display of the form. Awesome stuff. On a side note though I'd really like to see the self defense applications of these moves included at the end of the videos I think it would give the viewers a good idea of how the moves are suppose to be used. Thanks for the video Great editing.

      Hansonnal means onehanded knifehand. The other Hand rests on the Hip as Ellbowthrust during the Technique. A normal Sonnal Technique uses the other hand as support by placing it in front of the stomach most of the time. Same goes for Sonnal-Bakkat-Makki and Hansonnal-Bakkat Makki. Sonnal has a supporting Hand. I am not fully sure about the Agwison (Ageumson) technique. The Ap-Chigi is definetly a thrust with the side of the lower index Finger, with arc hand as support. Khaljaebi is just a synonym as far as i know and describes the same technique, but khaljaebi definetly always attacks the neck, while Ap-Chigi can be executed to any body part and height. Mureup-Kukki and Nullo-Kukki are probably synonyms as well, because they are executed the same way. It might also be that "nullo" attacks below the knee and "mureup" above.
