The constant juggling of materia in hard mode is just unbearable…
You aren’t kidding. Completely sucks the fun out of the game. Bassssically every other battle on hard mode. Swap 75 percent of all the material and all participating characters. No thanks
The should came up with Materia loadout / preset in part 3 to save our time. Most of the time spent in hard mode is materia switching.
@@nonny_elder_gamer i constantly lament the fact that there are no loadouts! or even the swapping an entire row from, you know, 1997
This fight is straight up BULLSHIT! Thanks again for another great strategy!
@@nonny_elder_gamerhope that gods can hear you, is my dream, because I can't take it anymore..🤦🏻♀️
wow this was definitely the most difficult boss on hard mode so far.
100% accurate. I still haven't beaten it. I've beat 1-12, with exception of this boss.
Gi Nattak and Rufus are the only boses I've struggled with on hard mode so far. Every other boss I got within 3-5 tries. This boss took me over an hour and Rufus took me about 5 hours. I was so close to giving up. Can't wait to see your strategy for him later.
Mithryl golem was very hard also but this one is just absolutely ridiculous.
rufus is THE worst even knowing how to do it
Your guides have been very useful so far but at this point this doesn't work for me as I don't have the Gotterdamerung
I personally think it’s moronic to post guides that include an accessory that is acquired by beating one of the toughest challenges in the game . Your average player stuck on boss battles in hard mode won’t have the gotterdamerung.
Doing Hard first won't make the toughest challenge easier, but doing the toughest challenge first will make Hard easier. It's just a different perspective where I think it's better to not delay the inevitable in order to make the lesser challenge easier.
I get not everybody understands my reasoning and I do apologise for that, Hard isn't the toughest challenge as you say so you should be able to improvise with something else in Gotters place as an example
Rufus is the hardest with mechanics but also easiest with hpmp trick. Block once, limitx3 straight, done.
The rest include gi, magic build 4-5 same element orbs with hp absorb + mp absorb + magic focus + swittcast/mgc focus with genji glove can do well on general bosses n chapter 14 all bosses
To stack materia does the double have to be max to or can it be just a 1 star
This worked like a charm eventhough I had to improvise on the final phase, just with Barret laid the smackdown on spells with everything I got and it worked. Thanks a million for the guides , mate! Really powering thorugh hard mode with them so :)
Thank you so much for this! As usual, things didn't go as planned, but I was able to stumble passed the finish line. :)
The limit siphon was my savior in this. I haven't finished all the brutal challenges yet so I didn't have the item you recommended, but Red was able to get his limit up high enough from the soul flames so as long as I could get to the swarm of them. I sustain myself with prayer (Barret) and thundaga + swiftcast + mp absorb + hp absorb (Red) timed to cancel powerful moves. It took me a try or two to not get INSTANTLY grabbed, but once I got past that initial part, it was smooth sailing.
whenever i win the boss fight on hard mode i celebrate my victory as if i scored the winning penalty of the finales of the world cup. thanks man you are a legend
Discovered your guides in last few days once I had cleared first 3 chapters on hard mode. Thank you these are great!
I found this channel trying to beat weiss in remake. Every other guide failed me, but optinoob weiss strat I got done within 3 tries. BY FAR the best strategies I've seen on YT or anywhere. I mainly play FF games, and other rpg games. Gonna play stellar blade once I finish rebirth platinum. Can't wait for black myth wukong in a few months. Easy platinum im sure thanks to this channel.
Last video of yours I watched, so posting here. Got my platinum last night. The last battle isn’t nearly as difficult as some of the other battles (like this one). Just wanted to say thanks for all your immensely helpful guides. Pretty sure I’d have called it quits way back at the VR challenges if not for your vids. Learned a ton too. Thanks and much love homie!! 🙏
Again you pulled through for me, frist the VR and now this. Thank you.
Thanks you!!! Once again your guides have saved me. Gi Nattak and and Rufus were the only bosses on my normal mode play through that gave me any trouble and I was dreading them on hard mode. My run didn't go as well as yours, but even with deviations the strategy is solid enough to carry you through as long as no one gets grabbed. Linking this to all my friends ❤❤
Sephiroth final boss too.
Wasn't looking forward to this fight, but made it on my 2nd attempt with this guide. You legend, Opti!
This is my last chapter for plat thank god it's over I think part 3 can sit and rot in hell off my list after this game lmao.
Just finished plat baby! Thanks for your guides my man, helpful, no bullshit and straight to the point.
i was able to half use this strategy and still beat him on the first try...i had all the materia you did but some were only half leveled...didnt have gotterdammerung and i was able to beat it thanks to you...the sattelite beam was very useful
gotta love how you've transitioned the challenge builds/concept into the main story
Another easy “hard” boss thanks to your work. Congrats! ❤🎉😮
Holy cow bro. Absolute dream of a build. I didn't finish the battle sim so was missing an accessory but swapped with limit boost. Did everything to a T and beat him my first time. Awesome awesome vid! Thanks !
Thanks your guide was the easiest I could use. It didn't exactly worked as described here but I was able to get him down close enough to handle the rest. Thank you.
Hey, I've been a silent watcher of your FF7 Rebirth videos and decided to finally comment and just tell you thank you.
I like to play video games, though I am not always very good at it, but I've been trying so hard to platinum this game and thanks to your videos, I am nearly there (sitting at 207 hours). I just need to finish chapters 11-14 on hard mode.
Your videos are super informative and it is so easy to watch and observe your game play as I work to try and replicate yours as close as possible during my playthrough.
Thank you so so much!
Worked excellent. First try.
Had a milimeter of hp left at the end. A few attacks finished the job
Although i had to retry a million times with ur loadout and i tweaked a lil here and there (i don't have the gotterdamarung yet either) i finally beat himmm!! My heart was beating so fast when i won and i was so afraid the game might have an error on me during the cutscene until it finally autosaved. Figured I'd come back here to thank you ^^
Well done ;)
I wish this guide existed a week ago! I think this was the hardest boss for me in all of hard mode.
I was just _barely_ able to squeak by on this boss. Red was dead, and I had about 100 HP left on Barrett. Definitely had my heart rate going.
Did it first try with your method, always top tier guide👍🏻
Did it first try with this guide! Even got grabbed twice, but as soon as he was hit with a level three spell, he would immediately drop the other character.
I couldn't stop laughing throughout this guide, how in the WORLD did you think of this!?!?! Thank you so much, I beat him first try (after failing 15 times)
Wait till you see chapter 14!!!!
Good guide, but being fair, anyone that has access to a gotterdamerung shouldn't be too worried about story bosses. Gilgamesh and VR Sephiroth are just on another level for real
I don't think I agree. The limits have been severely nerfed since remake. Story bosses can mess you up even if you have the gotterdammerung
@@aaronravindran The base limits were nerfed, but the enhanced ones are quite OP. Don't get me wrong, the guide is great because most bosses in Rebirth have many hp-lock phases and unblockable special attacks, that can be sorted out with the correct use of limit breaks. My comment was more directed to the fact that Rulers of the Outer Worlds has a higher skill-ceileing than most story bosses , so my assumption is that most people that has beaten Rulers of the Outer Worlds probably has the neccesary skills to finish the story bosses :).
@@yorguenaut4499yeah this is true. after beating outer worlds i ran through the entire story in a weekend
@@aaronravindran it kinda did mess me up a bit for a few attempts, I did just fine. Im at chapter 11 currently and just so not ready to face Vincent despite knowing his weakness to Fire.
@Visious05 I'm on chapter 12 and agree so far that all bosses including GI and vincent are pretty easy esp if you've done the VR challenges. Esp with the limits. For Vincent i just had the gotter on cait and limit siphoned to Aerith for planet protection. Gets to second phase free. Then all you need to worry about is dodgy chaos and savage attack.
1st attempt with this guide. Perfect as usual. Thanks.
Thank you. Was trying maybe 10 times. Your guide like always helped a lot.
Thank you for your tutorials. It works!
Great guide, thank you for sharing. For this fight, i have struggle with it using physical build and finally done it with a close call using 2 limit to finish the boss at phase 3 :D
You can cast Cura on him to stop him from casting most of his spells.
Just how many bosses are susceptible to Stop lmao
This was the only boss that killed me, was waiting to see how you kicked his ass! Love your videos, keep it up
Bro you really are the goat. How do you even come up with these concepts and strategies 🤯 from the rulers of the outer world to this just keep the videos coming.
Wait till you get to the chapter 14 boss guide ;)
Thanks! It worked for me after a few tries. The key was to execute it faster.
Spent hours last night trying to beat him. Your strategy did the job on my 1st attempt.
Thanx! 🤣👍
I had to finish it with a United Overfang but I did it. Thanks so much for the guide!
Got it on the 3rd try, solid strat. Thanks
yeah i figured this boss couldn’t get much easier. we had borderline the same strat but the way you did it was much cleaner.
Thank you.. I was able to beat Gi Nattak by following this step by step
Amazing guide FairPlay been stuck on him for 2weeks
Dude… the last video I watched of yours was for the last VR sim with Cloud and Sephi. I’ve pretty much breezed through hard mode with everything I learned from you. Except for this guy… fuhhh. Regardless, hearing your voice brought me instant peace. Took me 4 tries. Much love, homie 🙏
Your guide got me through! Was ugly, but your build got me through. Only 3 more chapters on hard mode!
That was pretty tough. Thanks for the help!
I'm sorry, some of your guides have been really helpful, but I just can't follow any involving a gotterdammerung.
Can't seem to do Rulers of the Outer worlds- satsuigaming's/valkyrie's build got me the furthest (all the way to sephiroth), but not in a good enough position by that fight to end it.
I somehow managed to beat Gi Nattak last night.
Lightnings set to magic focus, hp absorb & mp absorb, time x2, healing/revive, transference module & limit booster items, and phoenix summon's reraise got me through it. Staying alive long enough to limit synergy to level 3 and repeat.
bro has the highest level accessory equipped, come on man lol
Some others are level 55 and dont have materia maxed, i can never reach every1 if you intentionally make things harder for yourself
@@Optinooby hey man I like your videos, I think you have great strategies. It’s just sometimes you see maxed out material or accessories you only get after beating the most difficult thing on hard mode. No disrespect intended , just thought it was kinda funny
My perspective is that its not a case of the hardest specific thing but more "What is the easiest overall approach"???
The hardest thing will ALWAYS be the hardest thing, its inevitable!!! But, doing the hardest thing first makes hard mode easier, but doing hard mode first DOESN'T make the hardest thing easier.
Its a more optimal approach with the difficulty and not just "leaving the hardest thing till last" which is inoptimal!!
You have to ask yourself, do I want to make the overall platinum much harder than it needs to be, cause leaving Gotterdammerung till last is exactly that!!!
Besides, how would you know which is harder if you haven't done them?? If you have been reading elsewhere and you are going with their info, then perhaps best to stick with them mate and what they say because as you see, it's conflicting with my perspective/info and causing you to question my info!! Just stick with those who told you that leaving Gotter till last is better!!! ;)
got job i added revive to the spare slots as had to revive a few times. but finally did it. thanks
TOP! I made it thanks to you sir! Thank you very much!!
I finally beat him!!! After more than 10 tries,, I have noticed that he is being easy pressured by blizzard (ga) than thunderagga
Worked in the first try, thank you
Great guide, worked likea charm
I just wanted to say thanks for the video!
And now without Götterdämmerung? 😢
You will have to adapt with something else i guess
Certainly seems to be lot easier than the mostly physical damage one I did with underleveled materia :D It's fun to look at how much you can cheese these bosses, I wouldn't have had any idea. The final boss gauntlet was really tough going in without any proper strategy.
Didn't have gotter so I had to modify this a bit. Ended up having fire elemental on both armor and went with using stop and bioga at the very start of the fight. Took about 7 times before I switched to a favorable build and beat this mf. Limit booster got me halfway with the limit siphon though
You are a legend, thank you!
Great guide. Helped me a lot
Works like a charm, thanks!
Thanks for the strat! Hard mode rufus strat around the corner?
Thanks for making the impossible possible with this one
Once again, thank you
Took me a few tries but this worked. I've been doing Hard Mode on my own so far, but this boss is just not very fun to fight against. Too much stuff going on I think, plus the obnoxious teleporting around. Hate bosses that run from the player.
Recommend anything to use instead of Gotterdammerung, I have not attempted Brutal Challenges yet besides the first 2 so far.
Guess anything that helps with the limit break gauge
@@Optinooby I will give Limit Booster a try to see if I really need to do the Brutal Challenges now or not.
got him with the limit booster was a bit tougher I am guessing but did it after 30 min of deaths lol
Thank youuuuu! I got it, except for assessing the soulfire but I hope there will be another after that. xD
Love u great strat. Thank you😉
It Work's soo Good! Thanks Man
Well done and thank you
Big help! Thank you!
Holy shit you absolutely wrecked him 😂
this helped me beat it! thanks!
This guy gave me the most problems out of story bosses.
thank you so much. u saved me once again!!!
This is much better than the strategy I used! I had Red XIII with the magic strat while Barret acted as support, which made the fight take longer and added more room for error.
Also, I ended up getting every trophy today but the ones locked behind 'Can't Stop Won't Stop', wooo! Thanks for the guides on the Brutal and Legendary challenges, they were all awesome and helped me get through it all! Now I just gotta wait for the patch to fix the quest so I can get the Platinum.
This boss gave me trouble back in the OG and it took me a while to beat him. 27 years later, this mofo is still giving me nightmares and trouble. (I was able to beat him thanks to this guide)
He could be a pain in the ass in the OG if you took him on straight up legit, but a funny thing is if you use just 1 elixir on him... it was an instant kill. So if you pre-empted him you took no damage at all. For the price of an elixir. 😂
@@leemaggard8393for the price of an X-Potion*
Dude, what a beating 😂💪🏾👍
If i dont have the Gottetdamerung, should i try the same strat with less LBs?
Dont have much of a choice ;)
Dude you are the best
Optinoob, thank you once again! I got stucked in this boss. 😡
So casual thank you!
I don’t have the gotterdamerung and silver claw ,, what to equip instead?? I am struggling with this one,, so annoying
@@hanayume86 Anything I guess that best fits and try to adapt the best you can. Or go and get Gotter and make upcoming fights easier.
But gettijng the Gotter, yea thats always going to be rock hard, even doing hard mode, but at least Gotter makes a bigger difference to hard ;)
Crazy how this guide just does not work for me
My guy 🤝🏾
Thank you very much😊
Square Enix: "Say the line Bart!"
Bart: "*sigh* Optinoob Hard Mode Guide"
P.s. I do feel like I'm improving at this game a bit, when it looks like we have similar builds
Nice. Thanks.
Why did you start with the limit break bar at full?
Gotterdammerung
Did it without the limit break accessory from the VR.
The Stop spell helped a alot.
Still, I barely managed to beat him.
I didn't have the Gotterdamarung so I couldn't use this guide. I still left a like for you.
What item or mayoría increases the Limit Gauge all the way?
@@myheropenguin9227 Gotterdammerung, if you dont have it, you can try with Limit Booster instead
@@Optinooby is that item obtain in the Meridian area?
minigames maybe? gotter is from sims
can you get Götterdämmerung without playing the game on hard mode first?
Yes, its easier to do the Brutals first and then hard mode. Gotter can make hard mode easier, but hard mode wont make the sims easier
Thanks!
Where do you get a second MP absorb?
u will have google sorry, i really don't remember
I already cleared this. This took me a few attempts, been focused on health mainly and the soul flames. Kinda did mostly the same with the battle with fire and a bit of Stardust Ray. I didn’t really used either of the Lvl 3 LBs, but still was a bit challenging on timing of Nattak’s attacks.
is it possible to perfect parry his attacks?
You can perfect parry almost everything if you care to put the practise in, i didnt ;)
Came into this fight with really low mp, about 28 and 35, this method is literally impossible for me to do. I cant find a chocobo bench as i have to complete trial, is there anyway to recover mp while at this point. My mp absorption is still on the lowest level
Sounds like restarting is the only way if u cant brute force it, or maybe use another strategy??
Ah man starting over is such a knack, may have to be, any thoughts on a strat to beat him with minimal MP?
@@Rohaan4567technically you can do all bosses hitless. There are vods on youtube beating all bosses with 0 dmg. Learn his patterns, keep maximum fury ready for the small skulls. And if hit, try to heal with pray instead. When he casts doom, you gotta be as agressive as possible. Maybe keep the limit attacks for that bit to finish him off. Obviously easier said then done, but thats the only way i can imagine you doing this with very little mp left
I had this experience last night, with low MP mainly on Barret. I don't think he has Stagger Recovery on any of his weapons, at least not from what I saw, so I gave him the boxcrusher keychain which raises HP and MP on staggered enemies, and then used him to run back and stagger enemies that had respawned, and I already had Stagger Recovery on Red's weapon. I did this until everyone was back to full MP. Then I rested at the bench for the HP.
Though after watching this video, I think I'm going to retreat from this boss fight anyway and do some other things. I love the strategy here but I don't have the Gotterdammerung. This boss is absolutely nuts.
@@Majikn give red the enemy skill materia with hp regen. It helps alot. Also don't forget barret his R1+x/o does iron defence wich if you spam, most projectiles can't do damage to you. Block his melee attacks, and for ranged just run away. I beat him on my 3rd attempt. He is not that bad, if you learn his moveset
You really ought to make a new guide. Telling people to use the gotterdammerung, the hardest item to obtain, is not really a strategy. If you can get that item, then yea you can beat anything.
You have to do it at some point and hard first wont make it any easier, so rather than make getting the Gotterdammerung really difficult and also Hard Mode really difficult, I just think its more optimal to make only one of those really difficult.
If you choose to make Hard Mode really difficult as well, then im sure you can find other guides out there mate that do it without the Gotterdammerung.
I just make things as easy as possible while keeping things fast. I cant cater to everybody who is deliberately going to makes things harder for themselves because where do I draw the line. There are some starting Hard Mode at level 50 and with little materia maxed etc and I dont have the time to make guides for every single approach.
So as I say, im sticking to the easiest approach because at least that is definitive.
I aoplogise if its not for you, you can either adapt or as I mentioned, look elsewhere!
If you have a Gotterdammerung then you killed bosses way harder than this one to get it. Im also pretty certain that less people have completed the VR challenges then the game on hardmode.
So i’m sure the minority is loving this guide.
Those VR bosses are ALWAYS going to be hard no matter, but the rewards from it can make hard mode much easier.
Its like i say, do you want 2 things to be very hard, or just 1 thing, its all up to you ;)
But of course, if you NEVER plan on playing VR missions then i get it, hopefully somebody else has done hard mode without Gott, at level 50, with little maxed materia, without 100% first etc etc because then they dont only cater to yourselves that dont have Gott, but also those than may have even less.
It can also be said, if this boss isnt hard, then why use a guide
@@sk1tt1ezz excellent. Make a guide please then.
Yeah, I agree with having a with or without Gotterdamerung strategy... rulers of the outer worlds is still kicking my ass even with the strategy you have for it, so can't pull this one off either using this method.
I will Venmo someone $100 right now if they can upload a video of them perfect blocking this guy’s first attack. I’m convinced it’s not possible. There’s a better chance of the sun not coming up tomorrow.
dont perfect, just block
