Marketing Monday is by far my favorite series on TH-cam. The only issue is that there’s only one Monday a month.
Had to take a double take for that last sentence.
Nah everyone hates mondays. So it’s good they cut the number of mondays a month from 4 to 1.
Can't the union do something
@@talosgak1236 lmao truuuuue!
W
Atrioc forgot to mention that Offbrand is the company that owns the seven companies that own the world
he isn't part of offbrand anymore man
@@SirBalls how do you know?
@SirBalls yes he is.
@@ryanmccaffery9027he doesnt, he's just capping. LinkedIn shows the truth lol
Fax.
Wow the Google segment was so amazing! Even though I saw the whole Marketing Monday on stream, it was like I was watching the segment for the first time!
👀
I know, right? Felt so fresh, as if I had never seen it on stream in the first place.
Bro only had seven topics and still forgot one
You beat me to it :(
FR though editor did a good job throughout, added lots of graphics to distract from Big A's "definitely not recorded post-stream because he forgot" voiceover. Once he escapes from Atrioc's basement he should definitely join the union.
As an Argentinian, I can confirm that buying full price games is absolutely impossible for the average gamer, so most of us are Game Pass subscribers.
Literally 3 full price video games is near a months worth of groceries for me lololol
I do think people(not Argentinian) making Argentinian steam accounts is a large reason why the increase is happening
"most of us are Game Pass subscribers"
as a fellow third world-er, I think that's wishful thinking. Most of us have an eyepatch and a pegleg
also, a few of my argentinian friends are saying games have a genuine 100% tax to them currently. First of all: what the fuck. Second of all, is this true?
@ShennaTheShinyEevee Indeed online shopping in other currencies has a 100% tax. But it's quite interesting because the official USD price is around 350 pesos. Then a game costing 1 dollar would cost 700 pesos with the tax. But this is still cheaper than the "illegal" dollar which is around 900 pesos... it's a weird country hahaha
As a Norwegian I can also confirm it's impossible to buy games for the average min wage worker.
With how big the Wazzup Beijing segment is for Marketing Monday, having someone take Chinese comments and translate them is goated. Big ups, Big A!!
Tesla making the list shows just how big of a bubble we’re in. As we all know, they have millions of working cars on the road…
Also worth noting about Tesla is that even their "good" models as Atrioc described them have been accused for almost their entire lifespan of similar issues with poor quality of manufacture. It's not just that the number of cars don't match the valuations, it's that the quality of the cars produced never matched their valuations either. The entire valuation has been tech hype based with neither sales dominance nor product superiority to back it up.
In mountain view and palo alto, theyre fucking everywhere
Even before Elon's reputation cratered after buying Twitter, I've always felt that Tesla was way overvalued and out of place compared to the other 6.
It's just a car company. They make electric cars, but every other car company makes electric cars, and their market share is nothing compared to a juggernaut like GM.
All the valuation is riding on is Elon's promise of Full Self-Driving, which he's been touting will come next year, for like the past 8 years.
Say what you want about him, but he's one hell of a salesman. Imagine selling electric cars so hard that you become the richest man on earth.
@@WeenusMcMenace-dm6ep Brother, he's not a salesman, he's a mf scam artist. If you tell everyone snake oil will make you immortal, you're not a salesman, you're a fraud.
@@sn8y they are everywhere in cali but I suspect that once thier shitty build quality catches up to an aging fleet, people won't be able to repair or replace them due to inflation and we'll see people switch brands to better cars
15:11 I really liked seeing Big A’s face during the google segment
Really enjoying the addition of translating the chinese shitposts from weibo. China has so many fucking good shitposts and memes just like we do on twitter and they do show the genuine trends of what the big online youth culture is pushing trendwise. Its easy to often forget there are literally hundreds of millions of people 90% of english internet users don't interact with simply because of a language dif.
On the case of China the great firewall also plays a massive role.
Facts, when I was an active Dota player and esports enjoyer the general consensus by the community was always that china had the best memes
18:34 I actually had that exact same thought. It is kinda' like a reverse singularity where instead of becomming "smarter", the AI just devolves itself. It'll actually be fun to see if AI will only be able to make up a small procentage of the web ecosystem before it begins to train on itself.
God I hope so
There was already a similar issue with AI image generation. Ever since AI image gen became so easy for anyone to do, people have been flooding the web's most popular image sites with AI generated images and so there was a genuine issue with image datasets becoming polluted with AI images. If the uploader does not somehow mark that its AI generated, many of those images are hard to tell apart from real photographs or genuine hand-drawn artwork. As a result, they had to develop AI models that can detect AI images so they can filter them out.
Hey Big A, just wanted to let you know that you forgot to include the battle report in this week's marketing Monday! I know it's an easy mistake to make, and I don't blame you for it but I'm hoping you'll do better for next week. I look forward to it!
Battle Report is best report
Great video like always, was waiting especially for this one to come out of the VOD factory. Props to the editors as always and loved the spelunky music added in
I hope whenever he does a deep dive on a country he gets someone like stephic to do some translating, I’m sure it would be easy with the unions help. ❤
Wow atrioc is so talented! I watched the entire stream but I still learned something new while watching this video. Atrioc truly is an amazing and talented streamer!
this one of the best videos you've ever made! the latest trends and news for these companies is some of the most important news in the world. very informative and entertaining!
WE KNOW WHY THERE'S NO CHAT DURING THE GOOGLE SEGMENT
People clearly stunned into silence, mindblowing insight from our caffeinated heifer
Great vid once again Glizzy McGuire! I especially loved that Google segment, even better than it was on stream 🤩
0:46 that is one misleading pie chart, considering that the 103 other largest companies are excluded from the chart in order to make it look like these 7 make up half of the S&P500!
If drones start dropping packages like that ima start stealing em like they’re cod care packages
So I literally have to keep spending money on the big 7 to ensure my 401k? Sheesh. That’s an ouroboros if I ever saw one.
Thanks for all the help and support you give Big A, Stephic. Fantastic work as usual Eriksenchee!
Love the segment, learnt so much
I love how 2 of the top 10 searches in Bing aren't real searches, but Windows automatically opening Bing searches if you click on "help" in a Windows program
I loved watching the google segment I watched the stream and the vod and it just seems new everything you do it atroic
Microsoft actually has an incredibly flexible and forward thinking remote work policy. I have never been asked to come into the office in the past 3 years since COVID, and even have been able to move countries with their support. It's a major reason I like working there.
Really appreciate CC being added, makes a big difference in quality imo
Wow it's like I'm hearing about this Google for the first time.
A company called Zipline has been doing drone deliveries for quite a bit somewhere in my state. They use fixed wing drones rather than quadcopters, so it's significantly quieter. (And they don't drop your package from 12 feet)
What zipline is doing is super cool. In a region where the roads are not the best, they use drones to quickly deliver emergency medical supplies. The drones they use aren't all that high tech even. Just basic stuff. But the impact they are having is amazing.
Yeah. If anybody is interested then Wendover Productions have a beautiful video that deep dives into the working of Zipline.
It's on YT.
YOOOO STEPHIC. that was a good segment.
Thank you for your service, Stephic
Love the Pokémon colosseum music in your videos
Funny and informative content. Well done A!
Big kudos to the editor for using Pokemon Colosseum music. Those OST slaps!
Great Video, this is my 856th rewatch and it gets better each time
Love how the music matches the theme and all of it's from Pokemon Colosseum
These videos are so informative and interesting but the editing style makes them so hilarious too
The Spelunky music was a nice touch, spectacular editing in general
The Pokemon Colosseum music goes sooooo fucking hard. Good shit, I love when creators (or editors) use these bangers.
Thank you Stephic for the scoop! 🙏
I did all the flooring in a newer Amazon warehouse and got to see it after it was all done and setup. Those robots are so ass it’s crazy and it’s so congested and tight in there cause of all the tracks and stuff they had to build it looked like the worst place to work ever
That google segment was so cool! the chat during that segment was awesome I wonder why he didnt include it hmmm
Lol xD
I dont ever think I’ve heard a more based selection of background music in a marketing monday before. Props to the editor on this one
thanks for the interesting perspective stephic.
Heads up there is a post in the reddit that goes more into detail about this and is a pretty good read
Could someone tell me the song that was being used during wassup Beijing? That shit actually goes hard and I’ve never been able to find it
Completely off topic, but I am loving all the music choices in the videos recently. Especially the Pokemon Colosseum tracks.
2:09 Got me pondering Apple's preparation to acquire a 62.5% stake in Disney's stock.
At 24 mins in the backround music is that from pokemon colosseum, Yes Atrioc!
much love for stephic, quality research o7
Love the spelunky music while talking about Nvidia being a pick and shovel company
classic tarketing tuesday, keep up the good work dr carbonation
clicked instantly so i could get the youtube exclusive company
The google segment was just as good when i saw it live
Yo for the Wazzup Beijing segment, I noticed the screenshot references serpentza. You gotta take anything you hear from him and his friend Laowhy86 with a massive grain of salt, as they were personally persecuted by China, so they don't have the most neutral perspective on the stuff that comes out of China.
Also, it's awesome that you included the Chinese social media posts, shoutout to stephic for doing all that, it's such a good insight.
Serpentza 🤢🤢
Oh my God I just looked up the other guy he's the "China is finished" dork
They're both channels (serpentza and Laowhy) that make money from outrage bait towards China.
Glad stephic took that into account.
Yeah I mentioned Serpentza and laowhy in my research to show they are very biased
I used to watch all of their content, it was super interesting food/travel stuff about China, but ever since they were effectively forced out by the Chinese government they've been pretty radically against China, understandably. Unfortunately that means they're really not a good source of any actual unbiased news.
15:07 is not an example of market inefficiency, it's just an example of inefficiency. It's perfectly consistent with the efficient market hypothesis (called efficient market theory in the video). The news article (information), can be incorporated in to valuation of amazon. I'd say the effect of the free peanut butter was fairly negligible to investors' cash flow expectations.
Even though it is an example of inefficiency (using inefficiency in the sense that Amazon wasted resources) - it doesn't reflect the market for amazon stock being inefficient. Although, for example, perhaps some investors thought of the event as a reflection of general company-wide inefficiency at amazon and sold.
It's great that big A is making finance/business fun and continuing to get people interested and is learning more and more himself. imo EMH is a very tricky idea especially because it intuitively feels roughly right but there's a LOT below the surface. Love ya big A.
Finally Marketing monday video... Been waiting for weeks :P
Crazy ride of nvidia share price went from $500s to 400s now almost back to 500 in a week which is crazy
The halo music durinf the tesla truck intro is hilarious
I love that Marketing Monday comes out on Tuesday.
9:30 Spelunky HD music
yooooo!
Ok but the silly music at 11:05 was kinda perfect lmao
The idea of a "Magnificent 7" really isn't new in the stock market. Historically, it is almost always a small amount of companies that provide the bulk of stock market returns over most given periods. This is because stocks are cyclical in nature. So different stocks will go up at different times. Over any given 10 year period, something like 95% of stocks will underperform treasury bills. However, the 5% that overperform change over every 10 year period. This is why you need sector and market diversification with stocks. What makes money in today's stage in the economic cycle won't stay the same forever.
Ngl improved my day
when was this marketing monday? I wanna watch the vod
18:20 based song choice
editing is fire
Let's go, this is literally the plot of Armored Core 4 & FA!
A dystopia nightmare world... but with cool mechs
Damn, I had no idea they were this big in the S&P 500. Very insightful. That definitely makes index funds much more riskier than I thought. They are often described as an easy way to diversify one's portfolio and at a low risk. We still did not get a big tech crash IIRC. If that ever happens, that would definitely be a very bad time.
Did tesla actually use halo 3 music for the cyber truck add or was that added later? If its legit that's fucking awesome.
Feel like the Amazon drones are primarily gonna be used for condoms when someone forgets them. Light, small, hard to break from falls, something you need right away if you don't have it. You just order your drone condoms, watch an episode of a show or smthn and they'll be delivered before it's done
The editor who put in spelunky music is goated
goated editor for putting pokemon colosseum news soundtrack at the start
the whole video is peppered with goat music from the best 3d pokemon games ever. love it
and the meme chinese song
The third thumbnail got me.
Official banger from the Glarkitor
I love the way he just market the market
Big ups to the editor for using red dead 2 music, and one of the best songs at that
By the way, whoever did the subtitles did a great job
I followed the channel for the “hitman”. Content.. I’m staying for your stock market knowledge . 💯💯💯👍
My favourite history channel uploaded again
i've been on Huawei P Lite series for the past 6-7 years, honestly, it's good enough, i'm on my second phone. The last one still works, i just broke the screen. For a budget phone, the P Lite series is really good.
Lmao the google story is so real, my dad my brother and I almost died driving up a mountain in Chile because the roads were significantly different from how they appeared on google maps
Now this is how I am enticed to get into all of the big stocks! And Big A told us we get free peanut butter? NO WAY!
Cant believe youtube frogs get exclusive content. Who knew marketing mondays would have platform exclusives now. Truly a microsoft move big A
19:48 Wazzup Beijing :)
Seen Microsoft pitching all this AI stuff in their enterprise products in some marketing/update meetings with their reps, the whole Co-pilot thing. Some of the market is pretty cold on the matter of reliability.
losing my mind i cannot remember where the song that plays over the cybertruck is from please somebody help me i need to sleep but i cant remember its on the tip of my tongue
this video was very enjoyable. one of the best atrioc videos i've ever watched. .
What an enjoyable video! Thanks big A ❤
fire as always
🎵One of these things is not like the other🎶
The spelunky music goes so hard!
PLEASE do the same video but with the top 7 private companies!!!
I swear whoever is picking the music for these videos knows how to make me laugh. When the spelunky music started playing during the Nvidia segment that got me rolling. Thanks, editor 💜
This guy needs a tv show
Forgetting to include google until the youtube vid was a fucking strat and a half. Been waiting for this YT vid since the stream lmao
I love the Pokémon Colosseum ost
My brain felt so high alert hearing the news music from Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness at the start of the video
WELCOME ABROAD STEPHIC!
blessed be thou when atrioc uploads
LETS GO STEPHIC(I don't know who this guy is but welcome to the team)
Holy shit! It’s the comeback of pirate factory’s ! It used to be super popular on the 90’s with the tobacco industry!
