I also love Emily Ewing!! She's so chill and some of her foods might be a bit more on the expensive?¿ side but she eats pretty healthy and idk it's nice to see a few younger well-functioning vegans that I can try to relate to :)
I’m not vegan but I watch this woman called Sukkari Life. She has a very beautiful editing style. And her food is very well seasoned and looks so interesting. She’s pleasant and does yoga and not afraid of legumes, seeds, nuts whatever. She’s also big on sustainability and shows how to live a low waste lifestyle. She’s middle eastern.
"Handmaid' s Tale", 100% worth the watch. Lots and lots of dystopian future, darkness, heavy subject matter, but also some bright spots, finding happiness, resistance, upheaval, challenging the status quo, strength of women, etc. It is also a story (show) you have to bear with at times and just watch. Watch it play out. Mostly it's their terminology; they will use a word or term and not really give an in depth explanation of what it means, you simply continue watching to get the context and/or definition. On that note, I enjoyed the little chat at the end of this video. It's nice to see your personal personality in person. :-P
I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago and really like it, you are level headed and your arguments are based not on emotion or shrill like many of the vegans on here. I am transitioning over to veganism, born with spina bifida and one of the issues it carries is constipation which has been a huge issue for years. Having dropped dairy completely along with processed carbs, going to intermittent fasting and limiting meat (chicken) to days where I work out, I have seen a change in my digestion, great work, keep it up and please never lose that snarky personality that some people dont like, it is comedy gold.
Great choices! I would add: Pick up Limes, Caitlin Shoemaker (From my bowl), Sarah's Vegan Kitchen, Edgy Veg, Mary's Test Kitchen, NikkiVegan, Deliciously Ella, Liv B, Madeleine Olivia, Sweet Potato Soul.
This gave me some new people to watch. I also like Pick Up Limes (though it makes me nostalgic/sad for when I lived in the Netherlands) and ItsLivB has really nice easy recipes.
I am so glad I found out you liked some of the channels I have been interested in that show lots of recipes, because I am vegan for short amounts of time due to religious reasons and I find it really hard to get the amount of nutrients I need during those periods and that is going to help me out a lot.
edit: just want to say that I personally appreciated your video about your teeth a lot. I watched it once when I was binging your content then went back and watched it like a year later after realizing I had over 10 cavities as well. It was just nice to see that my life wasn't over because of some cavities, lol. But it also motivated me to take better care of my teeth. Handmaid's Tale is pretty brutal. I watched the first episode of the second season, having watched the first with mixed feelings, and it was borderline torture porn. If you're on the fence, I would personally recommend you try something else.
This video makes me incredibly happy, thank you!!!! I'm trying to cut back on drama and negativity, and finding low drama entertainment options is hard these days with all the tea spilling. It's so entertaining to me, way too entertaining, and it can get very difficult to enjoy other stuff after a while. This is a much needed breath of fresh air, thank you!!!
Lol, I love the dental hygiene rant. I work for a dental insurance company, and after seeing so many images of rotting teeth in young people and how much work they had to have done (and the remaining bill they would have to pay) - I started getting way more finicky with keeping my teeth clean 😂
I never miss a video of yours. I totally understand why these types of videos don’t get as many views, but I really enjoyed this one. I love a lot of these channels myself and can’t wait to watch Brown Vegan! She seems very real and probably has a lot of good advice to give. Thank you for the recommendation!
I enjoy your channel so much. You speak about veganism with the most amount of depth. You never throw jabs, you always encourage and I just wish I could speak with you one one one! You’re a true voice
Im not even vegan nor do I want to be. But I subscribed because I love your commentary and input on certain people and I've been binge watching recently! Keep up the great work!
@@dianamendoza6829 I tried it in the past and it wasn't very doable for my current lifestyle. I do intend on becoming vegan, or at least vegetarian, again in the future!
The Handmaiden's Tale is my favorite show right now. There is some positive things going on that have to do with rebellion, but it does not really happen until the mid/end of the second season and the 3rd season. So you have get through a lot of negative and terrible things just to get to the hopeful part. It is a really good show it has really great story telling and cinematic shots that are beautiful.
I really enjoy the Viet Vegan! Currently she does a lot of vegan wedding prep. Generally she is very down to earth, does great recipes and 'what I eat in a day's.
Thank you for recommending these chanels. Some of them I was already following. It's so relatable to me what the woman visiting Colombia said in that footage. I am Mexican and went vegetarian 10 years ago. Decided to went fully plant-based 3 years ago and at first it was awesome (I had an OK income and very flexible schedule back them, which allowed me to hunt for all vegan foods and ingredientes I needed). Last year I moved to NYC for six months and it was vegan paradise: anything I wanted was available. I just needed to shop in two grocerie stores to have all I needed (a regular grocery store for all my staples and a healthy food coop for stuff like vegan cheese and fake meats, etc. I moved back to my hometown, stayed unemployed for a few months and it became a struggle. Not only I couldn't afford it anymore but the products available are very bad in quality compared to those available in some first world countries. I know some will say "just stay with rice and beans, that's cheap" and yeah, but honestly, some staples are not even available in regular markets or supermarkets here. You have to go to costco to buy tofu (you don't find it elsewhere in my hometown), all fake meats or sausages are really gross, expensive and not tasty at all (except chorizo) and there's only one supermarket that sales vegan cheese, which unfortunately is not close at all to where I live (I have to do a two hour comute to get there). Anyway, long story short, I came to realize how being able to all the restrictions for a full plant based diet is also a matter of priviledge: where you live, how much money you earn. And how unfair it is when some vegans claim that vegetarianism is equally bad as carnism just because they do have the priviledge to have EVERYTHING AVAILABLE. NIce to see some vegans are more understanding in that area :)
Several of these were on my radar, but thanks for bringing some new ones to my attention. So, thanks! I feel the same way you did about Jenna Marbles. When I first saw her, years ago, she was absolutely not my cup of tea. However, about a year ago, someone mentioned she was their favorite vegan TH-camr, and I was so confused as to whether there was more than one Jenna Marbles on YT. But then I went back and watched her newer stuff, and now I am a subscriber. Channels I love that didn't make your list: The Viet Vegan and Mary's Test Kitchen.
Pick up Limes is awesome!!! I have honestly never watched a video that I did not like and find inspirational! I have recently started watching Cheap Lazy Vegan and I think that is going to be one of my favourites too! :)
Other than you and Cheap Lazy Vegan I think the only vegan TH-camr I regularly watch is Qcknd(a couple more subs that I never click on), though mainly for her tattoo content. Still, while it's a secondary content stream, her vegan videos were one of the final things that pushed me to give it a shot.
I think it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there for the world to see and I thank you for showing me your honest self because in such a clouded world, some clarity is so so very much appreciated 🙏
I love this video! A actually only watch you and Cheap Lazy Vegan, and you are both my inspiration for making my own channel for Ukrainian audience. So thank you!
mediocre vegan good luck with that! I just went to Ukraine and they all looked at me like I’m crazy when I said I’m vegetarian lol they would have probably lost their minds if I was vegan
I really like your positive stuff. It's nice to play in the background while I get dressed. I also love "vegan earth and soul" channel is also really positive and zen, I sometimes meditate to them.
I love Honey Bunch of Onion Top ! She is a lovely Australian TH-camr and she wrote her own vegan cook books. Her contents are just so wholesome and calming ! Highly recommend
I like this video! Btw handmaid's tale is incredible. It doesn't get happy, but it's very thought provoking and especially chilling considering everything that's happened in this country recently with human rights.
I'm SO happy that you included Jenna and Julien! I don't think that calling out hypocritical and dangerous behaviors constitutes negativity. You are trustworthy and honest. I'm a vegetarian that tries to eat vegan as often as possible, while still trying to please very picky children. FYI, I've been subbed to you for a long time, with the pesky bell rung, and hadn't gotten a notification in 6 months! It's so irritating. The upside is that I've spent the last week catching up and binging old videos. I love your stories at the end of each video. It's my favorite :)
I was just as excited to watch this video as any of your other videos! I assume that most of your followers (like me), love your content because we value your opinion, so I say keep on making this type of content!
Absolutely loved this video! It's my most favorite video of yours thus far. We disagree on various factors pertaining to veganism, mostly when it comes to veganism & health. As far as feedback goes, I found this video genuine, authentic & funny. Thoroughly enjoyed the end especially, since it was so relatable, honest & hilarious. When one has the ability to laugh at herself AND use her past mishaps to pass on the wisdom & teach an important lesson, it's such an admirable & positive quality🙌 I was mushing bananas for the morning oatmeal cookies while you were talking about the perks & downfalls of sweet breakfasts & contrasting them w/ more "hearty" breakfast food. Before your video ended I made brown rice, a huge green salad that would last my partner & me the entire day (lunch & dinner), prepped & put Japanese sweet potatoes in the oven (the only sweet potatoes I find palatable), and "made chickpeas" (by putting them in the instant pot). Im completely with you as far as cooking large portions that could last for a couple of days at least! And thank you for mentioning Raw Alignment.
I really recommend you check out the Viet Vegan! Lisa is so sweet and i love the way she eats. Her fiance is also vegetarian (maybe vegan now?) and the are adorable together.
Did you continue with Handmade's Tale? It's very dark and terrible and there is rebellion in it but it's all dark. Have you read Margaret Atwood? She's not into happy endings, or, really, complete endings. But the entire book is the first season, so it's anyone's game for what comes after that. The show is worth the watch, though!
Other vegan youtubers I like (similar to the ones you mentioned) -Sarah's Vegan Kitchen -Josef Sullivan -Vegan but Lazy (they've changed their name from Anarchist Kitchen, and I think it was Modest Dish for a while) - amazing recipes!
Totally in the same no dental insurance boat here! lol You’re totally right! Cutting down sugar is honestly the best way to prevent cavities and other dental issues. I hate sugar and fruits, and almost never eat any and I also have pretty inconsistent dental hygiene practices like you and I have no cavities. My mom and my brother both have great dental hygiene practices but both love and eat a lot of fruit which resulted in many cavities.
Great suggestions, thanks! Here's a suggestion for you (and everyone reading this): peaceful cuisine is the channel of a japanese chef and his videos are beautiful to watch. Soothing really. When I'm stressed out, I watch him cook and calm down immediately.
KnightlyGaming I do not like edgy veg, she promotes vegan diets for animals. Terrible. Be vegan, don’t force it upon things that have no choice and need meat.
star rabbit prince dogs can be vegan with the proper food. I don’t understand why it’s bad ? Just makes ur pet healthier. Cats on the other hand need meat.
Hi! Just wanted to say that I'm not vegan but I watch you because I want to make more ethical choices with food and try to get closer toward being vegan. I love that you're not judgemental and recognize that demonizing people who are not vegan or vegan "enough" doesn't help anyone, which is encouraging for people like me who find it daunting. I know you are not expecting a lot of views but this video is great. I have now discovered other vegan channels that I think I'd like more because you like them and places to find recipes!
Oh man I loved this video. In the same vein as other youtubers you recommended, I love Josef Lincoln. He’s so chill and does vegan dollar store recipe visa and it’s affordable and fun and makes me happy 💛
Massively agree with your first one mate. I actually got to go to her London meet up back in 2015 (I have an 'I'm In' sticker on, rip). Also reccomend Young Medusa; she's done a couple of videos on vegan stuff and doesn't upload too often but has a great personality
Handmaid's Tale starts off slow but becomes very engrossing after the first few episodes. It's truly horrifying. But there's also powerful moments. I'm having trouble starting the third season though since I'm so emotionally involved in it... I'm an abuse survivor so it's a mixed bag for me.
What Brown Vegan discussed hit me hard. The past few months have been pretty difficult for me financially and I've eaten about 99% vegan in that time span, but I'd be lying if I said there weren't days where I was completely broke and had no choice but to eat what I could get my hands on or starve. It was hard after being vegan for 5 years, I definitely was going through a lot physically and emotionally because of it and I was so hard on myself, but when my blood sugar would drop at work due to not eating all day and my coworker would offer me a candy bar or something with some milk in it it was either take it or risk passing out and getting hurt. It sucked but sometimes intention is what matters and we need to forgive ourselves for not being completely vegan in times of extreme hardship. I live alone and am doing the best I can to sustain a living, but sometimes we do go through times where we can't make veganism our priority as much as we would like to. I'm not saying this for pity, i've started to bounce back, but I want anyone who may be going through what I did to be easy on themselves and understand that you have to do what you have to do to survive and as long as you have good intentions and are doing the best you can that's all that matters because you're still making a difference 💜
Ok. So I rarely watch your videos (no specific reason, basically just haven’t gotten to them yet)... but OMG... I think I just fell in love with you when you said “there were certain actors I couldn’t watch because I couldn’t stand their face” lol that is soooooo me! Now of course, as you stated... that’s not really a good thing lol but sometimes you just can’t help it lol
Yaaaaas! Cheap Lazy Vegan! Not mentioned, but two of my favorites are Mary's Test Kitchen, she's got a lot of great comfort and Asian themed recipes (I LOVE her kimchi recipe!) The Vegan Zombie is a lot of fun, although I kinda miss the recipe videos with the horror theme (I respect the change, and still love their videos.) Love Chris and Jason (though, Jason's not on it too much anymore.) I love Gaz's cookbook, but man, his being a professional chef shows. His cook book is one you have to be prepared to "tunnel" into. I mean, his recipes all have two or three other recipes not on that page that you gotta go find in the book and prep. Is it worth it? OH MY GOD YES! Do I always have time for them? No, but it's amazing when I do. I think that's one of Isa's strong points, is that at least in Isa Does It, most of the recipes needed are included with the recipe (like the sauces and such.) Excepting the proteins, of course. Haven't watched the Handmaiden's Tale. I like period film/movies, but I don't have Hulu XD

I also love Emily Ewing!! She's so chill and some of her foods might be a bit more on the expensive?¿ side but she eats pretty healthy and idk it's nice to see a few younger well-functioning vegans that I can try to relate to :)
I really appreciate you highlighting WOC!
Sustainably Vegan is a super lovely youtuber who focuses on low waste living but has some great vegan videos too!
SalmonInYour Rice yes I love her!!!
Never subscribed to multiple channels so fast on my life. These TH-camrs look so cool and down to earth! Thanks!
L. I'm a normal, 14 year vegan!
Great choices! I would add: Pick up Limes, Caitlin Shoemaker (From my bowl), Sarah's Vegan Kitchen, Edgy Veg, Mary's Test Kitchen, NikkiVegan, Deliciously Ella, Liv B, Madeleine Olivia, Sweet Potato Soul.
Healthy Crazy Cool and Lilykoi Hawaii are two of my top favorites at the moment! 💗
AlexandriaTheGreat yes Lily is so informative!
Yes ♡
I love Lily!
Love both of them!!
Lilykoi Hawaii is so great. Love her channel
You're fabulous. And I am totally digging the 'smokey eye'; it's great on you. Cheers!
Check out Sarah's Vegan Kitchen! she's so sweet and makes great content
Yes! I love Sarah's channel.
second that! Unnatural Vegan and Sarah's Vegan Kitchen are my 2 faves!
Sarah is my favorite!
Agree completely !!!
So is beautiful too!
I’m already obsessed with Brown Vegan!! Ty sharing. I’ll be checking out a couple others I haven’t heard of.
I absolutely adore Pick Up Limes. She is the sweetest vegan I have seen on this platform. Plus, her recipes are really good.
edit: just want to say that I personally appreciated your video about your teeth a lot.
I love Kristen Leo, her channel mostly focuses on fashion, consumerism and the environment
Daniela. YES> Absolutely!! She inspired my most recent video on thrifting. Her content is SO IMPORTANT!
I like her too.
The whole 'not liking someones face' ramble is hilarious XD
I enjoy your channel so much. You speak about veganism with the most amount of depth.
You never throw jabs, you always encourage and I just wish I could speak with you one one one! You’re a true voice
Im not even vegan nor do I want to be. But I subscribed because I love your commentary and input on certain people and I've been binge watching recently! Keep up the great work!
Rucha K you should try it! Im pescatarian, but most of my meals are vegan and I’ve learned how to really appreciate and create food that I love ❤️
@@dianamendoza6829 I tried it in the past and it wasn't very doable for my current lifestyle. I do intend on becoming vegan, or at least vegetarian, again in the future!
@Diana Perea thats smart! I may try that :)
@@ruchak4960 well good luck to you for whenever you try to do it again. Those are great suggestions to ease the "dietary shock"
Rucha K How come?
I love that you shared ModVegan! She has such a great perspective and is another fellow Canadian vegan :D
Your dental rant at the end of the video, as a 19 year old, really hit home. I can't pay for dental!!! I need to start flossing 😂
I love her!!
She's one of my favorites!
It's a good time ;)
@@Thevietvegan love your wedding videos! Now I want to have a wedding just to force my family to eat great vegan food there 😁
Thank you for recommending these chanels.
I love Jenna, I also watch a lot of younger vegans as I'm 20 like Wear I Live and Caitlyn Shoemaker. I really enjoyed this video btw
You remind me a lot of the tv character, Daria (in the best way) lol I love your videos ❤️
@@aberdeen0107 It totally depends on where you've been! Cause in the capital there is a lot of vegans and places for them!
Mavi Thanh love her! she’s so sweet
I like this video! Btw handmaid's tale is incredible. It doesn't get happy, but it's very thought provoking and especially chilling considering everything that's happened in this country recently with human rights.
watch emily ewing!!! she’s a great young n smart vegan
I second that so so much!! Shes also so funny, might be for a younger audience tho
She is definitely a favorite of mine! I love her videos
I LOVE HER!!!!
Yessss
Yes! I love her videos. Her channel seems about being balanced & living a normal vegan life
I'm SO happy that you included Jenna and Julien!
I love watching Healthy Crazy Cool, Pick up Limes, Lilykoi Hawaii, Sarah Lemkus, Jinti Fell, and of course you :)
I was just as excited to watch this video as any of your other videos! I assume that most of your followers (like me), love your content because we value your opinion, so I say keep on making this type of content!
"these sorts of videos never get views" ummmm i never clicked so fast on one of your vids soooo incorrect!
Melissa Sanchez sameeeeee love seeing her being positive
Same!!!
There has been so much negativity lately, I needed this video.
Zimmy McFlimmy me too!
Peaceful cuisine! Vegan recipes set to either relaxing background music or with no music.
Cheap Lazy Vegan, Hot for Food, and You. All the vegan videos I need in my life. 😋
Juniper Jay check out Pick Up Limes!! She is a registered dietitian and eats whole plant based foods! Her channel is amazing!!
high five👍
Absolutely loved this video! It's my most favorite video of yours thus far. We disagree on various factors pertaining to veganism, mostly when it comes to veganism & health.
As far as feedback goes, I found this video genuine, authentic & funny. Thoroughly enjoyed the end especially, since it was so relatable, honest & hilarious. When one has the ability to laugh at herself AND use her past mishaps to pass on the wisdom & teach an important lesson, it's such an admirable & positive quality🙌
I was mushing bananas for the morning oatmeal cookies while you were talking about the perks & downfalls of sweet breakfasts & contrasting them w/ more "hearty" breakfast food.
Other vegan youtubers I like (similar to the ones you mentioned)
-Sarah's Vegan Kitchen
-Josef Sullivan
-Vegan but Lazy (they've changed their name from Anarchist Kitchen, and I think it was Modest Dish for a while) - amazing recipes!
Vegan but lazy, yes
@@bmoforever5562 they did?? aw how come? didn't realize :'(
Totally in the same no dental insurance boat here! lol
You’re totally right!
When I first watched your vids, I used to think you were super mean, but then I realized I love your style and humor lol
Great suggestions, thanks! Here's a suggestion for you (and everyone reading this): peaceful cuisine is the channel of a japanese chef and his videos are beautiful to watch. Soothing really. When I'm stressed out, I watch him cook and calm down immediately.
Edgy Veg isn’t necessarily a “healthy” food channel, but has lots of fun recipes including veganized fast food recipes
What about miles from healthy crazy cool?
yessssssss
I was looking for this, luv him
Oh man I loved this video. In the same vein as other youtubers you recommended, I love Josef Lincoln. He’s so chill and does vegan dollar store recipe visa and it’s affordable and fun and makes me happy 💛
Liv B is great too. She makes simple recipes and they taste so amazing bc you can actually follow them lol
She has a book that was published a little while ago, too.
I click faster when she's hating on someone I hate. I waited a day to watch this one.
sarah's vegan kitchen is awesome as well!
Thank you for making this video! I think this may be my first comment on any youtube video ever, but I would love to see more videos like this.
I wish I could like this video more than one time.
Not a vegan, but I watch atleast 3 of these channels regularly. Just good ass content yo.
Pick Up Limes (the MOST beautiful videos). From my Bowl. Madeline Olivia has loads of delicious recipes too
Edit: David & Jenny Mustard!
I loooove pickuplimes!
I love Pick Up Limes and Jenny Mustard, though Jenny's focus lately has been on fashion.
If you like Pick Up Limes, you should check out Good Eatings! their aesthetic is everything and the backdrop of rural Sweden is gorgeous 💕
Rachel Amma is also a great vegan channel 😁 everyone should check her out
Yes!!! love her
Second that! I really wanna try to recreate her vegan carribean feast, it looked so delicious!
She is my fave and I'm not even vegan!
she is indeed a promoter of a healthy, nutritious and sustainable vegan life style. And also such a positive character - i just love her!
OMG I didn't know Cheaplazyvegan had a cafe Calgary! I definitely need to check it out! Thanks!
Healthy Crazy Cool 😍 He's a nutritionist and is so awesome😍 I totally love Miles.
Bluerizen Horizon he is not a nutritionist btw and I also love miles
el gordo he really is a nutritionist
@@Panther888 he is
Omg same!
Yaaaaas! Cheap Lazy Vegan!
Not mentioned, but two of my favorites are Mary's Test Kitchen, she's got a lot of great comfort and Asian themed recipes (I LOVE her kimchi recipe!) The Vegan Zombie is a lot of fun, although I kinda miss the recipe videos with the horror theme (I respect the change, and still love their videos.) Love Chris and Jason (though, Jason's not on it too much anymore.)
I love Gaz's cookbook, but man, his being a professional chef shows.
I'd recommend "Mary's test kitchen" She's so sweet and real, and her recipes are bomb
Emilie Piquette I agree
So yummy.
Yes!
Long-time watcher, first-time commenter here. I'm not a vegan and I never will be. I just watch your videos because I love your exacting approach, thoughtful content and articulate delivery. Really appreciate this list. Thanks!
So you're dating a vegan is one of my favorite vegan channels and I haven't watched in forever
Meh, he tried non vegan mayo for a stupid video. Ridiculous
i love love love when you talk about random stuff at the end of your videos! it's so fun and soothing and nice!
Avantgarde vegan deserves sooo much more recognition, he's really amazing
I really appreciate this video. I’ve been trying to find good vegan TH-camrs for a bit. Happy I found you today. Been binging you for my day off.
We love a positive queeen
I LOVE Cheap Lazy Vegan, love to see you talking about her. Her budget videos are my life.
