As a detailer myself. Stay away from dish soap, as dish soap is very strong and can strip paint and even wrap of its protective properties. It’s also an abrasive so it can lead to minor scratching when used while hand washing
As a person who wraps cars for the past 4 years NONE of our vehicles (wrapped or not) were damaged from Dawn. You may be referring to another type of dish soap
I concur on the dawn, I’ve detailing cars for 30 years. Dawn has always been added to my car wash soaps to enhance the soapy appearance. I’d absolutely stay away from other dish soap as most do contain degreasers
What do you suggest to clean carbon wrapped elements? while washing and drying it's very rough under the hand and it often pull the lint off the microfiber cloth... Is Avery cleaner and sealant a good long term solution to be used?
Hey, i have a satin vinyl wrap and planning to put a ceramic coating on it. Would I still use the Chemical guys matte/satin soap or would you recommend something else? Thanks
Wanna wrap my car a high gloss brown.... Do you have any recommendations on a company with the best products...... Also would ppf help reduce fading on a wrap
Meguiars gold and possibly the others has carnuba wax/oil in it which is very bad for wraps. Customers need to make sure the shampoo is vinyl safe without carnuba
😂 My car has been wrapped for 3+ years, it needs a freshen up for sure, but I park under a tree that tons of birds live in, it gets used in -35⁰C all the way to +35⁰C. My vinyl is still going strong, don't stress over it too much. You need a good installer that uses good quality material. Then you won't have any issues, I specifically have a gloss however. I cannot speak for other finishes. Also getting a good PPF is added security. I would strongly advise getting PPF along the bumper if you have a car that might not clear some parking curbs.
Watching more of the video and you recommend dawn 😵 dude all this stuff deteriorates the UV protectant layer of the plastic. Sure it may look good when you do it but the wrap is going to degrade faster
THANK YOU! I've watched a lot of videos on how to clean the Wrap - but none of them were quite as detailed as you covered here.

What do you suggest to clean carbon wrapped elements? while washing and drying it's very rough under the hand and it often pull the lint off the microfiber cloth...
Is Avery cleaner and sealant a good long term solution to be used?
We try to stay away from the dry carbon wraps because of that reason
I have a gloss wrap the best soap to use is dawn?
Yes dawn soap the blue original kind works great
Use black light chemical guy I use it on my wrap
Will ceramic coat protect against the elements?? And what about coastal areas where we have all that salt going on
yes definitely

How to remove aurtillery fungus from gloss wrap? Can I also use a clay bar?

Hey, i have a satin vinyl wrap and planning to put a ceramic coating on it. Would I still use the Chemical guys matte/satin soap or would you recommend something else? Thanks
You can use that after the ceramic coating is fully cured
Underrated brother

If my matted vinyl has some spots or faded..what can I do to bring it back? I washed it but still show spots...anything I can use to restore it?
i hate to say it but it sounds like it needs to be redone . www.allencar.net
How often do you need to wash your car if you ceramic coat it and if you ceramic coat it how long will it last or does it come off when I hand wash it
Every 2 weeks but make sure it garage kept
Can i clay bar a wrapped car? Or is a clay bar only recommended on painted cars?
A clay bar would probably eat right through a wrap. Clay is for pulling impurities out of the clear coat on painted cars
Wanna wrap my car a high gloss brown.... Do you have any recommendations on a company with the best products...... Also would ppf help reduce fading on a wrap
Avery Dennison or 3m
The ppf should protect the wrap
How do you wash velvet wrap?
Use a gentle soap that is free of wax and solvents. Do not use a pressure washer
What about a touchless car wash? I'm worried about high-pressure hoses ruining my satin wrap.
Hard washing is always my preference
What cloth is the best to use?
Soft plush microfiber rags...

Okay, how about a garden hose with a soap bottle that attaches to my sprayer, and then just my garden hose sprayer to rinse it off?
That should be fine
Can I wash with a rinse-less solution like ONR ?
I will test it and see
How often should I go get ceramic coating reapplied.
Depends on the ceramic coat you use

You didn’t talk about if it’s safe to wax a wrapped car and what wax to use
its not safe to wax vinyl
They sell sprays and liquid for wraps
But most of those void out the warranty
Great informative video! :)
We are gladd yopu like it. www.allencar.net

ok im never wraping my corolla...if a car cant resist the outdoors, than its pointless.
It can but you don't want it to loose its luster because you are not taking care of the wrap
