    Big respect for honestly telling this story. It's the side of sports that people mostly don't see, but players are also humans.

    Man...
    Trey you have no idea how much your story fits mine. I'm in my third year of Pro ball. Currently in France right now. Cergy France to be exact and dude, been watching your videos for a while now. Love following the journey. Also have my family with me (My wife & son) and during these ups and downs remembering who you are is important when going through all of this. Not losing sight of your "WHY" you do this. Hopefully one day we cross paths and I can shake your hand man. your videos get me through this long 10 month season we got going on here lol!
    Appreciate you
    Zay

      First, congrats on 3 years across the waters, it is not easy. 3 years in itself is an accomplishment.
      Second, I am sure we will eventually cross paths. Like minded people always gravitate towards each other so I am sure, some way, somehow. I am glad I could help the grind even a little bit. Lets keep rocking...
      Good luck this season my friend.

    My life lesson while hoopin in Armenia comes from Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 “I have seen the pain in which God has given man to excercise in. He has made everything beautiful in His timing”. Once readin that, u realize… it wont be easy of course, youll get there on His timing. Like you said, no telling who youre inspiring. I have 7 nephews lookin up at me, i have to keep goin💆🏽‍♂️

    Thanks for the insight man, I've made a massive leap in skill and confidence in my game having only started in my sophomore year. Now that I'm a junior I feel like I'm very results focused and if I don't get the results I don't trust my game. Lesson 5 resonated with me, I've done the work and don't really have anything to stress over, I just need to focus on intention and truly trust the work. Thank again for the amazing quality content and insight you provide!

    After I graduated HS in 2020 I went and played in Morocco after the borders opened back up , after the 21-22 season I was supposed to return but I’ve had some major injuries that other clubs thought was a concern went into a dark place and started to regret not going to college and lost my love for the game I stayed in shape and I trained but my main focus was my mental health. This year I’ve dealt with some injuries that I felt hindered my summer progression but as I go through each day I feel and see my progress rn I’m currently playing with the local aba team it’s not great but it’s reps until the TBL season starts in a couple months. As a 22 year old thank you for this video and your perspective and documentation of your journey I try to do the same but I’m not consistent enough with it 😂

      Graduated in 2020 too, was gonna play in Iraq but I got into a car accident that hindered me for a bit. Looking back I wasn’t mentally ready for it, currently 22 as well I’m mentally ready but physically I’m currently recovering from an ankle injury. The grind don’t stop!!

    Thank you again Trey for sharing your journey in such a transparent manner.Your Wife gave you a lesson for the ages when you were struggling during one of your pro team stints.Phil Jackson used the analogy .Chop Wood Carry Water.(Phil and his Zen stuff )
    On that note, your Wife ,I hope the young hoopers see the importance of finding and keeping a significant other that 'gets' your journey and will support you through thick and thin .
    Trey you mentioned something about a bad relationship with a Coach. In college and also in one of your Pro stops.Could you be able to share with me the nuances of that situation .Player Coach relationships are really important to me,since i am a coach.I would love to hear and learn your perspective.( This a public platform so understand you might not be able to be candid.)
    Thanks for all the insights Trey .....Stay Atypical

      @TreyDrechsel5  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My wife is amazing man, best decision I have ever made.
      As for the relationships with the coaches, there was a whole lot that went into it and doesnt make sense to condense it down to a simple message response. Also, probably not the time and place, maybe sometime in the future.
      Keep doing what you are doing. We need more coaches.
