I was the TO for the first event (how could I forget those fuzzy knights). I apologize about my ruling. I was referring to the super- heavy walker ability rule on titanic units and i must've spat out vehicle when I delivered the ruling. I also apologize for the poor experience in the last round. Feel free to call a TO for any sort of dispute, and we can help work it out. Also when time was called y'all could've continued to talk out the bottom of the fifth. In that tournament, time just meant no more dice rolling. This was my first event TOing, so I'm happy I learned ways to improve these events in the future. I know to make sure both parties understand my ruling and be clear on what y'all can do after time is called.
Nah, bro. I wouldn't trip too much over it. You were clearly not the antagonist of the story. Sounds like you did your best to run a solid event.

Great video. Have to say though, Welsh really is the first language in some parts of north Wales (for myself included). I hardly spoke any English with anyone growing up. Not until I went to uni.
Man his comment really annoyed me, I speak Welsh and am from North Wales, I've once been complimented in West Wales when I switched from English to Welsh in a Welsh speaking community 'You're English is really good'
Here’s an idea for people with casual games who don’t wanna bother with the 10 point bonus for painted. Tertiary objectives 3 points if you kill a unit in first battle round, 4 points if you kill enemy warlord, and 3 points if at end of the game you have a unit in enemies deployment
Those sound like 8E objectives off the top of my head. I do enjoy the simpler “this is my goal, stop me from achieving it” kind of approach.

The one thing I thought I would clarify is during the tournament it was Nick's teammate who moved the monolith, not us.
Again, thank you for reading our story, we certainly learned a couple things playing at the tournament, and listening to you read it puts a different perspective on it. And you're right, our opponent was definitely not the worst one compared to other stories, I think we both got defensive in the moment and were just getting frustrated at the whole thing.

That last story.. yeah, I can understand that. **Looks lovingly at my 7000 point pile of Orks** I only started building my Ork army in the last week of August of 2023 and they’ve been a tremendous boon to my mental health. Especially since what gave me the push to dive in was some pretty heartbreaking personal stuff. Gork-speed fellow Orky Gitz! :)
The first time I successfully painted a model to what I saw as a high standard the feeling I got was awesome.

That Crypt Ghoul might just be one of the 40 in my army now, but I can still reliably pick him out. Because I stare at his picture in my phone all the time along with those of my other models.

To be fair, I have the iron hands dice, and I thought the hand was the 6. I did state it to my opponent, though, that any hands I would count as a six, any apothecary symbols I would consider a one and ask if he was OK with that.

If you are not into the painting hobby part of the game, you are playing it for the game. There are so many better games out there you don't have to paint an army. At least half this game is the visual appeal. Paint your armies ;)

Umm north, it’s rare to find someone speaking Welsh in the south and west wales, but there are tonnes of very rural cut off areas in mid wales and especially in parts of North of wales. When my dad was a kid he moved to Anglesey and kids at school would tease him for only being able to speak English until he learned welsh. Welsh was their first language.
Mate, I'm from North Wales, so many of my friends were brought up with Welsh as their first language NOT ENGLISH. Sorry that pisses you off but now I'm not sure I'll ever listen to any of your vids again which I found quite entertaining

lol I’m English but I’ve lived in Wales for Uni and there are people that don’t actually speak English as their first language over there. Some genuinely don’t speak English at all!
