    This concert was her last concert before the operation, and she was clearly tired, but this never affected the beauty of her voice and her performance. She is a perfect artist.

    Honestly, I don't know what's better: the singer/song, you explaining to us the techniques or you enjoying a lot the music. I would go with the three of them!

      She does have 'em mate. Went to see her live and she started a song on the wrong note, stopped the music and said ' nah, start again I fucked up the first note', so they did. She is just awesome.. I don't usually like mainstream music, but she is my guilty pleasure and fav by far

    Adele is born in London. So she has not an accent, but a dialect. If I'm speaking English, I've a German accent. That is a big different.
    By the way... Adele is, in my opinion, one of the best female singer worldwide!

    I would like to see the three singers of Chicago; Terry Kath, Peter Cetera and Robert Lamm. I can’t think of any rock group with three such talented singers.

    • @StevesFunhouse
      @StevesFunhouse 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Three Dog Night, Cory Wells (RIP), Danny Hutton and Chuck Negron ... pure gold.
      Not that my opinion matters but, I would agree with Terry Kath and Robert Lamm, but only on Peter Cetera BEFORE Chicago transformed into the "Peter Cetera band" (after Terry died). They just got so repetitious I can't listen to any of it after 1978. I'm definitely NOT a fan.

    • @tyroberts2261
      @tyroberts2261 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StevesFunhouse I actually totally agree. Peter Cetera has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard, but what they did with it is a tragedy. I think they just were done in by the ranch, drugs and sadness after Kath died. It’s sad, but most bands only last a few years of really good stuff.

    • @StevesFunhouse
      @StevesFunhouse 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tyroberts2261 Perfect analysis. They just lost the fire after Terry died. It definitely devastated them. I've seen an interview where, I think it was 1 of the horn players said that, to this day, if you mention Terry's name, the entire band sheds a tear.

    Hi Beth. Great reaction, as always. I appreciate your warmth, your knowledge and your willingness to share these gifts with us. It is on these grounds though, that I hope I can some nice Patreon to help get a request out. It's not a person or song that I imagine anyone would think of these days. However, I am haunted by these beautiful songs that get stuck in my head, that most of us have forgotten over the years, and it DOES seem to be a lot of reactors' goals to, as JameL_AKA_Jamal says, "keep great music alive", so I would hope people speak up about this one.
    The artist is Anne Murray, and the song is Snowbird. She has a very interesting voice and I would love to hear your analysis of this song (th-cam.com/video/xkHNo6HBevY/w-d-xo.html ). It's very short, as most songs go, but it's nicely done and she has some nice vocal qualities/techniques ... not earth shattering, but warm, soothing and pretty. I would just be really interested in your take on this song.

    Adele has a raw power that many vocalists can only dream of. It's interesting to hear her talk in an interview, and then go over to a microphone and blast out a song like it is nothing at all. A total guilty pleasure for me - the Live at Royal Albert Hall show is fantastic.

    I like a few of Adele's compositions, but I seem to like other people singing them better. Angelina Jordan's recent cover of Easy On You, or of All I Ask, for example, or Fernando Daniel or Felix Irwan's covers of When We Were Young, seem far more moving to me. When We Were Young is, in my opinion, her most emotionally engaging and romantic song. No reflection on her talent; her singing just doesn't excite me as much as her songwriting.

    John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    This life isn't all there is, heaven and hell are very real, but Jesus Christ loves you and can save you, and you can find out today. If you will ask Jesus Christ with a genuine heart to please forgive all your sins, and come into your heart and please save you, he will save you and you will soon know how real he is. God bless.

    Adele is my favorite songwriter in the world today. Having said that, though, to me she's merely a good singer. For example, she doesn't bring tears to my eyes when I listen to her - she simply doesn't reach me that deeply (emotionally). Perhaps I'm spoiled by listening to Angelina Jordan a lot recently, because when Angelina sings I often end up in tears (especially if she's singing an Adele cover!). Perhaps you could analyze another Angelina performance? After all, it's been a year and you only did one of her songs (of the ~150 she has on YT). Maybe react to Angelina's cover of Adele's latest ("Go Easy On Me," found here: th-cam.com/video/Mpw5Q76hWWE/w-d-xo.html)?

    Thank you soo much for the video! Being a fan especially of the era, one can actually notice that her voice went through a lot during 21. If I remember correctly she had laryngitis just before the release of her album back in December 2010, which forced her to quit smoking and alcohol but at the same time she had to promote her album. Then again after April/May one can hear that her voice is gradually changing. She also said in an interview in July 2011 that during a concert she suffered vocal hemorrhage but sang through it and then had again laryngitis. And then in September 2011, which means just before the RAH gig, she cancelled shows because of a cold/flu. One week exactly after this show she completely lost her voice and was diagnosed with severe vocal hemorrhage. Overall within 9 months she suffered laryngitis twice or three times, cold and kept on touring. This explains the soarness and heaviness on her voice as well.
    I have to ask though i have been dying to learn; what is that technique she does when she sings the "WATCHED it pour as..." part called? I have been dying to learn more about it but i cant find any info
