Urindil of the North Snyder is pound for pound one of the best wrestlers in the world. Macintosh MANHANDLED him. What Snyder did at heavyweight is outstanding. Unfortunately Macintosh is bigger, stronger and has a better gas tank. This is an issue with OSU wrestlers compared to Penn State wrestlers. PSU wrestlers make the OSU wrestlers look small, weak and show their lack of stamina. OSU needs to work on their strength. They consistently get overpowered by Lion wrestlers. Not being able to escape from the down position is a lack of strength. If you have watched OSU wrestlers against Lion wrestlers this is a pattern. OSU from 149 to 197 are.......well small and weak. The Jordan’s, Martin, Moore, Tomesello have a habit of getting pinned when confronted by quality wrestlers. This is to be expected. Pennsylvania wrestlers are better than Ohio wrestlers.
That was in 2015. This is 2018, McIntosh hasn’t made a world team and Kyle Snyder has won 2 world titles, won the 2016 97kg Olympic gold medal at the age of 20. Not to mention his regular sparring partner is the No.1 ranked 125kg wrestler in the world, Taha Akgul. Three years can make all the difference.
Rewatching the match McIntosh was far from manhandling Snyder. He only got ONE takedown. I would agree with you if McIntosh Teched him.
