i went to high school with morgan, he is one of the nicest person I have ever met, it was great to see him have major success in his high school career.

I wrestled the top SacJaq 189 lb champ my Sr year and he grabbed a hold of me second round and I couldn’t move my arm and I knew I was getting pinned, nice guy though
@@andu1854 Yeah, my senior year i had to wrestle mcintosh at the state finals. sadly i played football that year and my hydration said i had to wrestle 191s. lol i was 175 fully clothed my senior year lost to him 16-5 or something too much weight advantage to even compete haha.
I did some looking at previous brackets and Quam placed at state as a first year wrestler, that is amazing, I don’t care if his weight class had wrestlers going to different weight classes to avoid Morgan...
McIntosh is a beast but it's a shame that some people will watch this video thinking Quam is a slouch. Quam is a GREAT wrestler but Morgan is just on another level...
Wow thats unbelievable what he did in his career. Not one point was scored against him in 2 straight seasons??? Thats ridiculous. I dont care if none of his opponents were on his level or not. In the state tournament alone that is amazing considering the caliber of wrestler that makes it to the state tournament. He didnt get caught slippin or napping one single time by any of those kids. Damn Im thoroughly impressed. I enjoyed seeing his career at psu. I thought maybe he would have been more invincible at 184, but it doesnt really matter because he was every bit invincible at 197. Only loss was to J'den Cox at ncaa finals his last year. Ranked 1st most of the year at 197. Awesome athlete. Slick and smooth. Probably even got laid a couple times. Penn state has a very decent whore population.
And Quam earned a lot of respect(: he just didn't quit and kept on going when most guys would've given up seeing how badly they were losing and how tough their opponent was.
I feel sorry for Quam, it's bad enough running into this Juggernaut in the state finals, but considering they only live 15-20 minutes apart he's had to face him numerous times over the years.

Morgan didn’t lose form SOPH year to Sr year... also the kid he wrestled was a great story of a 2nd year wrestler (who did have a judo background, so I am not shocked he picked up sport quickly)...

Casey Strand his senior did the same thing to his opponents and wasn’t taken down at all & only gave up escapes because he didn’t want to pin his opponent

Not to mention quam was extremely accomplished in Judo as he took gold at the JR level so I guess people thought he was in an advantageous position when he had Morgan i that shoulder lock. also yes Morgan didn't get taken down all year and that was the closest anybody got scoring on Morgan that year.

I had same reaction many years ago as the outstanding wrestler of the year almost allowed a take down and then he nope it and won NCS
No it was the way he executed it. Most people wouldnt have even thought to duck the arm they wouldve just tried to power through but he through it over and just got behind it was sick as fuck.
