Borrowed your “epoxy jig with a plastic trailer” and have been slaying flounder in the NJ surf this summer!! And “sometimes you have to get weird” is my motto for life😂
Congrats on getting on a solid flounder bite. You can work the bottom and cover a lot of ground with the epoxy combo. Glad its working out, thank you for watching Kyle
Great video! I’ve got to try the violet soft plastic with the epoxy jig. I’m hoping the quality of fluke will improve into the end of the season. Way to go trying some new things.
Give it a try, its been producing pretty well. You are right about the fluke improving, the big ones tend to move out of the bays and it gets great on the beach
Dam you took the ferry all the way to rockaway. You should try 69th and 58th street pier in brooklyn. Fluke come up all the time over there. Im headed to 58th pier in 2 hours gonna try the epoxy jig.
@@fierceflyer5 we have fished together before, I usually turn the camera off with other video creators and try to enjoy friendship. He’s a homie though, I just usually fish the AM light
When I catch a fish , it's always a fluke...no matter what species it is. 😂😂😂 Tightt lines, be safe fishin' them jetties, no falls please...might put a little hitch in yo' fishin'...God bless.
Hey man is the color of your lure really a big factor because I am new and think I made the mistake of buying pink jerk shad , I am new to fluke or lures at all so i don’t want to get more lures

I haven't seen that color gulp 😊in my walmarts yet. But it looks great.
Really been digging the fish I've been catching with it. Seems more durable too, I bet its a new color/design.
Great video!
Thank you NYCfishing17!

I totally feel you on safety. It only takes one slip or wrong step. Appreciate the comment and good looks. Thank you!
What rod and reel do you use for fluke, Bluefish and striper? And how much pound line?
It should all be linked in the description for the exact gear used in the video
Were there a lot of blues around ???
Not really, thank you Jean

I use pink sometimes, they work.
@@CytoplasmicGoo is it as affective as popular colors like white and green?
@@darkblade9725white and chartreuse is the most commonly used color.
pink jerk shads are wonderful. You made no mistake. They'll work real well.
@@darkblade9725 I use chartreuse and white mainly but when I use pink it works just as well in my opinion.
Any keepers that day? I've catching a bunch of shorts and a gagillion robins not one keeper yet.
I wasn't measuring. I am sure there are keepers, the shorts kinda stack up so it might be worth moving to get on a keeper pattern.
