This blanket SINGS to my soul! The best design I've seen ALL YEAR!!!! Thank you for the tutorial and the inspiration!!!
@@mariakristinahawl1640 awww thank you so much!! hope you enjoy working on it
@@WhattheBeck I'm going to take my trash bag (yes, literal trash bag) full of yarn balls to make this! I love your 2-strand look!!! Question please. The back side will have 4-chain floats? I'm trying to picture the rear side since your video doesn't show that... 😉
@@mariakristinahawl1640 thats correct! I added a picture of the backside to the ravelry page so you can see how it looks there! Its the final image
@@WhattheBeck great, thank you!!!! ♡
I really like this design!! Thank you so much! It would be cool to have a better look at your finished blanket but it’s beautiful from what I saw! I will be trying this out since I have enough yarn for 50 people. Plus my favorite project is blankets!!! 🎉❤
Thank you for writing down the pattern steps on a post-it note right on the screen where we can follow BOTH notes and your voice as you demonstrate. I'm a band teacher, so the audio and visual teaching style together is 100% VERY helpful for all learning styles!
That's great to hear! It saves me some time when editing too :D
Awesome... Thanks! This is very similar to mosaic crochet. Another way to deal with "millions" of ends is to crochet a double border, sandwiching the ends in the middle - out of sight, out of mind...
Thank you for this pattern . Best explanation and written directions . I watch videos but I need the written pattern as well.
I can see lots of possibilities for that stitch pattern. Thanks for this clear tutorial.
💖Just added this to my TBC (To Be Crocheted) List! Thanks for the great instructions. 😻
Great pattern! ❤You did great explaining and showing us how it's made. I'm going to try it right now. Just a small one for a kitchen trivet-type in 100% cotton. I have a lot of cotton scraps. Your handwritten notes are A+. Thank you so much!!!🤗
@@jgraef919 A trivet is a great idea! Thanks for watching 💓🥰
this is a cool technique! reminds me a little of the layered look of mosaic crochet
@@finx1582 its very similar to mosaic crochet! i actually have a mosaic WIP i need to work on soon 🙊
Love this. Looking forward to more blanket patterns
@@Stormymtn2015 I'll keep that in mind for when I make my upcoming designs!
I learned something I need! Use a hair clip on the ball to keep it tidy. 🤯
@@CharleneDulmage It's a game changer for sure!
I love this idea. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this. I cant wait to try it!
Love the blanket! Another suggestion for dealing with the yarn tails... try an envelope border! The ends get tucked inside.
@@tonilynnp that's also a great idea!
Thank you. I will try this .
I made it before i saw your video but mine was a different hook. But i love mine i posted it on my yt page
@@mzmae-g2z That's awesome!
Would it look like if you turn at the end of the row but love this pattern
Holy, that looks complicated. Thank you ❤
Love it cant wait to try. Subscribed.
thanks for your support!
Thank you for this design, I'm new and have subscribed. Well done. 🎉
A US Triple Crochet is actually called a Double Treble in UK terminology. A UK Treble Crochet is called a Double Crochet in the US. Either way, I'm loving this stash-buster idea. But I am wondering why you don't work around the chains too (part way up the tc). That would stop them hanging out loose at the back of the work wouldn't it? Wish you had shown us a back view too. Sounds like I'm complaining. I'm not - I love it.
@@robynw6307 When making the pattern, I wanted it to be fairly quick, so i didnt work into the chains. But you can experiment with it! There is a picture of the back of the blanket on the ravelry page now if you'd like to look at it! It's the last picture on the page
@@WhattheBeck Thanks for that info. The view of the back helps a lot.
Yep,there's my new scarf!❤! Thank you,1st time seeing ya,you rock!
@@mayanmoon999 aww thank you!!
What does the back side look like? You don't show thst in your video.
@@suzancurtis5930 I will update the ravelry page with a picture of the backside tonight!
Anxious to see the back, but the front is beautiful! And, using up those leftover yarns…priceless!!!😊❤
What does the back look like. The chain four stitches are floating???
@@blancablanco7231 Correct! there is a picture of the back on the ravelry page if you would like to check it out!
Is there a name for this pattern for future reference? And can you just crochet over the chains?
@@loiscaulum7287 "camp blanket" is the pattern name! and yes, you may choose to crochet over the chains!
Thank you!
Curious why you didn’t just work over the chains, hiding them IN the treble?
@@sevnthhevn I wanted to use my scrap quickly, so i worked in front of them instead of in them! But you could work into them if you like :)
Hmmmmm, so, what about all the loose chains on the back? Lotta stuff can get snagged…including digits, pet limbs, kids limbs/digits….unless you’re using it as a couch cover where the back isn’t seeing light of day…??? Better was it alone too. Cute idea, for those of the whimsy-persuasion…those of us that need things even…. :/
@@michellenash6802 We use it as a bedspread or cover layer over sleeping bags, no kids, and love whimsy! so it is perfect for our needs 🥰
