This must be the map modern Dice loves the most since its the inspiration for most BF2024 maps on release.
I can completely understand all its faults but somehow I always had a really good time on this map. I think I enjoyed the unique aesthetic of these simple farmlands when compared to other Battlefield 3 maps. As always a fantastic breakdown this deserves 20x the views!
HOW do more people not know your content m8? There's always so many cool details you point out and tons of good ideas.
Maybe upload a video a day for like a week and it will start popping off (im happy to wait extra long for that, ill just go and rewatch your other vids.
Also i cant wait to see more bf1 maps... Maybe... Bf1 didnt really have the "best maps" or the "worst maps". Most were "mid maps".
I really appreciate that. I think it comes down to word of mouth now. If people help share these videos, It would help significantly. I prefer to not put out clickbaity BF "news" videos which will be irrelevant after a few days, even if they are good for traffic.
Maybe one day ill try to power through some videos and do a release a day for a full week. My videos usually just take a long time to make. :D
And yes, you can definitely look forward to more maps from BF1 - both good and bad. :)

I'm excited to see. The quality of your videos are spectacular with recorded gameplay segments highlighting your points, so I imagine the process of making one takes a lot of effort. As such I am perfectly happy to wait for them. I do understand why you would want to avoid dumbing down your videos or making them clickbaity

Like most of bf 3 on consoles, this map was dire with reduced player counts and graphics.

Yes I know its actual meaning. Its just always what we called them in the games over the years. Hopefully it wasnt offensive. In the future Ill change the wording.

About that point about attack helicopter. It felt like in bf3 air power was more standardised. As in if there were jets there were helicopters as well. In bf4 they change it up slightly in that u had maps with transport helo but not much else.
There were actually only 2 maps in BF4 with only a transport helo and no other air assets - Guilin Peaks and Outbreak.

@@GravityBFTV as for nebandan flats would you have a transport chopper and no other air assets? Or even a scout.
@@xlinkkaisaintsrow2365 I think there are three options for the map. First, one with only a scout helo and Transport helo. Though the scouts might have a hard time with nowhere to hide. Second, only transport helos. Both options one and two would need to have the mobile AA vehicles removed. And third, only jets, and thats it for aircraft, and you would need the mobile aa. I think given the maps size, the range of the attack helos, and the capacity of them to hit the entire map, makes them the prime vehicle to ban on the map.
@@GravityBFTV sounds neat. It looks like bf4 did this especially with the final stand expansion.
Just the other day I tired playing more End Game maps and I noticed Nebandan Flats definitely is the worst.
completely forgot about this map, because Ive never actually played it after DLC Release-Week LUL
Speaking of close quarters maps, do you ever plan to review some of them? (I mean the BF3 DLC)
At this point, its undecided. While some of those maps were really good and offered unique CQC gameplay, I am not sure they fall into the Best maps category. More than likely, if I get around to make a large Retrospective Review of BF3, a section would be dedicated entirely to that DLC.
@@GravityBFTV That’s sounds great! Maybe if you run into too many middle of the road maps in the future, could we potentially see a Forgotten Maps of BF series or something along those lines? Also, maybe I’m the odd man out in terms of opinion on it, but do you feel that any of the unreviewed maps of BF4 (especially Guilin Peaks, one of my favorite DLC maps) are too middle of the road to be put in a worst or best category? (Sorry for asking so many questions lol)
@@chip1486 You actually just figured out the next series. That is exactly what I have been planning for a few months now. There are a lot more "mid-tier"/average maps than best or worst, and it would be a shame to ignore them. So yes, definitely coming, at least soonish, after I get a little work done with some bigger projects. Guilin would likely fit into that category, as much as I enjoy it as well. The cool thing about that series is that we get to explain what bad features holds maps back, and what good features save others from being bad.
One flag has cow carcasses. I would consider this an note worthy map detail.
Has there been any other BF map with animal corpses
I feel like the answer to that is yes. I'd have to dig a bit on this, but i have a feeling a few 1942 maps had this and maybe a BF2 map.

Hey Gravity, i suggest you should do a video about Hangar 21 and operation whiteout on how bad they are!
I think Hanger 21 is actually good. Not the best, but good. I don’t think he’s going to cover it though considering his map reviews are about the best and the worst and not really about those in between.
Make a worst maps video on Hourglass and a best maps video on Orbital

Correct! I had debated including this fact in the video, and how interesting it was that there were almost 2 identical maps in the same dlc. I cut it for time in this case.
To be honest I liked Nebandan... especially on Rush or CTF
