Game Boy Pocket IPS Kit | Is it worth it?

The Game Boy Pocket is a fantastic handheld gaming console from Nintendo with many classics available such as Pokemon. However in retrospect the display on the Game Boy is just not that great. Thankfully there are display mods to alleviate this problem! However there are also straight up alternatives which might be more viable if all you want is to play your favorite childhood game.
I personally am torn about it, but will go over the IPS kit from FunnyPlaying which I used and mention some alternatives.

Now that it's been a while I have to say it is a fun mod to do and the result is quite good for the price.
Yeah especially one of the more recent vids (DSi in 2023) was quite strongly pushed by YT.

I would get an ips kit for my gba but wanted to keep the OEM feel,

@@Spider-man_. Perhaps not as viable anymore, but people used to put the screen from an AGS-101 into the og GBA. It looks much better, but would still be an nintendo original.
