    Fun fact: Tampering with someone's birth control is, in fact, illegal. MIL is lucky she isn't facing assault charges.

      Where do you live? It doesn't appear to be illegal in the US. I can't find anything that says the MIL can be charged with a crime.

    • @trisha7976

      What I'm seeing is that it's a civil offence but not criminal in most states... In CA if you tamper with condoms you use with your partner it's a crime. Idk if someone else like MIL doing it is a crime. You could sue her for sure. Probably make her pay for raising a child and all costs associated.

      It depends on how much the last pregnancy and birth affected you. It would be best to give your body enough time to heal but it happens that parents assume that you can't get pregnant while you breastfeed and get suprised. Its best to talk to your Obgyn about potential risks of your pregnancy.

    • @JaxDee128

      It is dangerous to get pregnant too soon after giving birth, it can take a year for a woman's organs and joints to return to place after pregnancy.
      The daughter will be an afterthought to the grandparents and that little girl will always know that she will never be good enough for them.

      Babies born 10 or 11 months apart are very common . My ObGYN doctors never told me to wait a given length of time before having another baby . I guess they believe women know their own bodies and decide what's ok for themselves .

    What’s stupid is that the bloodline ACTUALLY follows the MOTHER. Through mitochondrial DNA which you ONLY get through your MOTHER and is the SAME DNA traced back through the female line of an entire family tree and ends only when a mother fails to have a daughter to pass the dna to. There is no such blood line tracing for fathers. And all males carry their mother’s mitochondrial DNA, and should they choose to have children, their children will inherit the mitochondrial DNA of the woman they choose to procreate with. So. Actually. All men pass down is their name and their genes and bloodline by nature is traced through females.

    • @Ragnarra
      @Ragnarra 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      Technically if MIL had passed biology or did her research she might have known this. But considering how stupid and highly illegal her tampering with birth control is I doubt she bothered.

      There is a father bloodline in Y chromosome actually

    • @samanthac.349
      @samanthac.349 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If there was no way to trace a father’s bloodline, then paternity tests shouldn’t exist. That would mean that Ancestry, 23&Me, MyHeritage, and other companies that provide DNA and family tree testing shouldn’t be able to show any genetic males on the family trees. Maury “You’re The Father/You’re Not The Father” Povich’s show would’ve had to find different content for most of their episodes.
      As for mitochondrial DNA: it is still useful and the primary way to genetically test over many generations, but there has been developments to test the male line over multiple generations in the past 30 years.

      Sounded to me like passing on the surname was the main objective, not the genes alone. Either way horrible action that I hope she gets punished for. And it wouldnt even matter if she would have no grandchildren at all, its horrible to try to force children on someone else who would be the real parents. And its cruel to the child too as they are likely to grow up unwanted and at the very least sense something is wrong

    • @angelaspecialfox_ro289
      @angelaspecialfox_ro289 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@zakosist yeah.
      Also, ( i am preatty sure it depends on country ) by legal norms either party can take the surname of the other. Wifes aren’t actually obligated to take on the surname of their husbands, it’s more of a tradition that appeard around the time of a population boom ( it was that way cause once married, the woman was the man’s property ).
      So overall it’s a big fuss over nothing. I am confident that if OP did birth a boy, the grandparents would ignore the girl completly. Given how soon OP got pregnant again, a misscarriage is very likely to happend; the woumb needs time to heal.

    • @Hollyucinogen
      @Hollyucinogen 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In some countries, women are basically considered property - after they get married, then their husbands "own" them instead of their fathers. So a lot of people in those countries see them as inanimate objects, the same way that they would see a car or a table. Some women there are even sold off by their fathers into marriages.

    Tampering with birth control should be crime everywhere no matter if its your partner or somebody else. It takes your body autonomy (witch is a right that belongs to everybody) away. My partners ex tried to "fix" their relationship by tampering with birth control (baby trap) and gladly it didnt work and she got caught and this is the reason I dislike her so mutch. I dont have deafult hatrid for exes of my partner or past partners but she tried to basically SA somebody dear to me so she deserves the hate.
    Anyway lets hope its another girl. And lets hope NC stays, Mil doesnt deserve any contact with Ops children. And I truely hope Op doesnt start to resent her youngest child and theraphy helps her direct her anger to the person who actually is at fault, that being Mil.

    The act of tampering with someone elses birth control is just horrible. Its just messing with their body and messing with their trust, and bringing a likely unwanted child into this world, thats gonna be bad for both the parents and kids. I think the child will know something is wrong and not have a good upbringing. Birth and pregnancy is a lot of pain and suffering in itself and comes with health risk, that should not be taken lightly either. She should cut all contact with the person who did this and honestly would be good if they got some sort of revenge, maybe legal action. But it is important people know and remember, all birth controls can fail sometimes, even without tampering. If you have intercourse between man and woman then there is a risk of pregnancy

My friend Susan knew her worth every time Dad or mom joked about her birth. He. If it's a boy you get a box of chocolates, if it's a girl you get a bag of peanuts. Naturally he was treated as the special one. She got even with Ronnie when they were nine and seven. That's a story for another time.

    When you mentioned irish twins do you also live in Ireland because there is a law about it it goes exactily word by word like this
    In ireland, the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 stipulated that a person cannot concent to sex if they are "mistaken as to the nature or purpose of the sexual act". Therefore, when a condom is unknowingly removed during sex, any prior consent given is arguably nullied under Irish law.

    Why are you buying new condoms and a hidden camera, hoping to catch MIL? You're already pregnant so why would she be poking holes in condoms? Don't let her into your house. Once she knows you're pregnant, don't tell anyone the gender (assuming you find out.) She doesn't need to know if it's a boy or girl. Also, changing your last name is kind of ridiculous. You can always go back to your maiden name, but changing a name costs money. If the new baby is a boy, you can give him your maiden name; there's no law that says a baby has to have the father's last name. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. (If you don't know what that means, look it up.) Go as low contact as possible.

    If it had been me, I would have probably had an abortion since a second kid wasn't planned and getting pregnant again so soon is dangerous, you should wait a year or two so your body can fully recover and not be pregnant for some time. Since she wants the kid, I'd not allow Mil ever access to either of the kids again, Mil can never come to the house again. If possible, change your whole family's name to your name to punish her further. Make her regret big time, and keep her away from your own little family. Otherwise she'll pull shit like this again
