- Time to bale hay and the 4430 wouldn't start. Thought I'd try my luck with the little New Holland. It's not a job we normally use it for but it was the only other tractor I had available at the time. The little man did good.
Also have a TC33D bought new in 2000. Now has 2300 hrs and runs beautifully, but I do take care of it and do regular maintenance. Used to pull hay wagons filled with kicker bales, but now used mostly with a 7' finish mower. Always amazed at what it can accomplish; definitely one of my best purchase decisions.
Man yeah, little tractor stepped right up and got it done!! Wow, I was surprised as well...didn't seem to really affect it much at all! I know taking your time I'm sure made a huge difference but that was awesome since the Deere was down!! Sounds like a plan with the grapple, look fwd to seeing that as well!! Thank you for bringing us along, look fwd to more Mr Bill!
The little man did much better than I thought it would. It's a good little tractor. I remember my dad baling with an 8n Ford so I figured the New Holland should handle it. I finally got some stickers made. I'll send you one if you want. Thanks so much for being here!!
The little tractor that could ! Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching!
It's a good little tractor. Sure appreciate you stopping by!!
It did a fine job with the baler, nice to always have a backup. We might do some squares the end of the week if the weather holds.
I was surprised how well it did. My other tractor was 15 miles away. Didn't want to take the time to run and get it so I tried the New Holland. Rain here all week this week. Thanks for being here watching!!
Do you believe that a Long 350 (PTO hp is about 32 ) can bale some square bales with little problem ive never baled hay with my own tractor and i want to do it by myself
The New Holland is 33 hp. It handles the baler fine. I think you should be good. Good luck!

Hello Mr. Simeon,
I have a TC33D like yours. May I ask what brand of hydraulic fluid you use in your tractor? I’m thinking about using Shell/Rotella. Would recommend using it?
I think that is some good oil. I use Rotella motor oil in all my diesel engines. I use the NAPA hydraulic oil in my TC33 and have had ni issues with it. It is a little cheaper. Thanks for watching!!
That's the same tractor I had about 15 years ago.
I'm glad to see that it has the power to run a bailer.
Actually the ford N series tractors also ran bailers just like that with power to spare.
I had my tractor for about 2 years when a gear broke in the transmission. Luckily it was still under warranty.
But the tractor had other design problems that I didn't like so I sold it.
It had wires underneath the transmission that got ripped up when I drove over a bush or dirt pile.
The linkage on the control levers was extremely wimpy and crappy and would bend way too easy!!!
I did like the shuttle shift transmission and the 2 stage clutch, etc.
But the fact that that gear broke when I was just mowing grass made me want to get rid of it.
Sometimes I still miss that tractor.
I would have beefed up the linkage on the control levers and rerouted the wires that were underneath the transmission!!!
I was using it in my new weed abatement business for mowing and rototilling.
Otherwise it was fun and easy to drive.
I really like the little tractor. I have had good luck with it. I don't normally use it to bale with, but it was what I had available that day. Did a fine job! Thanks for watching!!
What a beautiful sight, I am very impressed with the NH, thanks for taking us along my friend
I am real proud of the little man. It's a good little tractor just wasn't sure it was man enough. Thanks for being here friend!!
Good to see that Lil' New Holland tractor was big enough to run the baler in a pinch like that. Being a hydrostatic transmission outfit really makes it easier to control the feeding of the hay into the baler. Take care.
It stepped up in a pinch. Good little tractor. Thanks for watching!!
Looks good. John Deere appears to be pounding out some bricks...👍
I think I've got it dialed in. Thanks for watching!!
I cut and baler hay with my NH TC33D using a NH472 haybine and a John Deere 14T baler both only require 30hp.
It handles the baler good. I don't normally use it on the baler but that day I was in a bind and it was all I had to use. It surprised me. It's a good little tractor. Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub. I subscribed back.👍
Pulled my john deere 224 t with a H Farmall or B John Deere no problems
The little tractor handled it well. Thanks for watching!!
That’s pretty sweet that little thing did it I wouldn’t have guessed it would but hey new holland makes some hardy equipment! I’m a case guy but new holland equipment is always welcome by me😂 you got some nice footage and some good looking hay!
It's a good little tractor. Done a lot better than I expected. Thanks for watching!!
You may need the bail shoot to be down to stop them standing up
Yep. I figured that out. Thanks for watching!!
Can’t wait to get mine this summer.
I don’t have a farm but I do have a camp and some hunting properties but I’ll probably use it at my home more than anything for my firewood side gig and whatever else I need it for.
It's a handy little machine. You will not be disappointed. I use it all the time. Thanks for stopping by and watching!!

Yeah man.
In my father in laws farm we used to bail hay with the Farmall C and ran a sawmill from an old Oliver.
The smallest tractor we had was the farmall cub.
I’ve always wanted a compact with 4wd.
Darn things are pricey but it seems the NH not only hold their value but are half the cost of Kubota’s.
