The old man that built that died a few years ago. The city cleaned out his stick maze I had given him a old hand saw several years before he died to help him cut the brush n sticks to continue building. He used a few pocket knives for the most part, he also built chairs out of the sticks...very nice chairs. He took pride in showing off his creations. There are some great swimming holes down Suck Creek Rd. A couple beautiful waterfalls are also right off the road. Lived in Chattanooga my whole life, worked down from the stick maze and home is the other end of Suck Creek Rd...over the mountain. U guys should have traveled on down there's a private Rd called "Up the creek lane"
I loved listening to the two men explain the maze at the exact same time with the same hand gestures. this is the stuff most ppl miss our turn the other cheek to. that's why I love you!
the name 'Suck Creek' or 'The Pot House' might draw curious looks or snickers. But these names represent a very real part of the area's history. Prior to dams, the Tennessee River just southwest of Chattanooga was full of navigation hazards of strong currents and whirlpools. Tumbling Shoals, the Pot, the Suck, the Skillet, and the Pan each meant trouble for the rivermen: they made downstream journeys hazardous and severely restricted upstream travel. On the other hand there are some real cool swimming holes along that creek. lol I just missed you guys. Well I am so glade you have found some cool stuff here. I wish we could have had the opportunity to hang out and meet with ya : (
i always get nervous when you run into homeless people... kinda sketchy.. but you always are polite and gracious... and thats a great lesson for us all, even tho they might be homless.. they still are humans and still have a story to tell.... be safe out there.. much love from palmdale cali.
it was so cool to see you at the tow Museum, I worked as a heavy wrecker operator for 9 years@ Barnett's Towing, I had a hand in building the white and orange little rotator Jacob the carpetbagger was sitting in. thank you for sharing your adventures
Very nice stuff, Adam! Love Chattanooga...last time I was there was probably 40-years ago...my Dad got us stuck in front of a low railroad bridge that was lower than our RV and we couldn't back up...with 100 cars behind us beeping and a honking. Nice to see the improvements! Drive safe and happy travels!
Glad you found the stick maze. I used to park in the shade there by it to have lunch sometimes, it's a shame what the kids have done to it. Wow you were just minutes away from us when you visited the spaceship house on Signal. If you come back up stop by Signal Mountain Nursery. Great and interesting vlog as usual.
Thank you so much for posting the Swingers House. I'm glad that guy added the link so everyone can see it. I think it was so cool that they had swimming pool tunnels to the bedrooms. We researched the place a few weeks ago. I remember my mother showing it to me when I was a kid.
The Love outweighs the hate by tons. Never forget that. I admire what you do and what you add to the world and I know many many others do as well. Thank you for being you. :)
What the truck? I never knew there was a museum like that! Jacob is a great sport and you both put smiles into many of our mornings. Thanks to you both- you're a-maze-ing! :))
As always, terrific video, Adam... You always do a great job letting us vicariously live through you.. I even started my own TH-cam channel because of you, Justin and Tim/Jen.. You inspire us to be creative and get off the couch.. Keep up the good work..
Neat tow truck museum my dad owned a service station and towing company back in Williams Arizona I'd ride along to a few tows when I was a kid I also learned how to shift a standard on one of the tow trucks ...
You should go up to the top of Lookout Mountain and film a vlog from Covenant College. The main building is the old Lookout Motel built in 1928. Awesome place. There is also a hang glider ramp on the mountain too.
I have lived in Chattanooga my entire life. I never knew the stick maze existed. You should check out the history of Cleveland, TN and the tiny town of McDonald, TN. A bunch of history and an abandoned school of Old McDonald School Road. Keep on trekking!
Finally!!! Somewhere I have been. It made me love this video all the more. Thank you soooooo much. When we (DH and boys) were there we went to Look Out, Raccoon Mountain, Ruby Falls, sites of Battles of Chattanooga and Chickamauga....The Incline (But I think it is no longer there.) Would love to go back someday. :D
1. If you ever visit Ft, Lauderdale, check out the Antique Car Museum. It's right up your alley! 2. That sandwich looked so good! There's nothing like a hearty sandwich.
Oh Adam you took me back to my radio servicing days with this video. I think that's a Motorola Micor or an early Maxar. Brought lots of memories flooding back, i had practically forgotten about these. Great stuff, thanks for the reminder!
There is also a train you can ride throughout Chattanooga or visit the museum. It is located 4119 Cromwell Rd Chattanooga, TN 37421. It is really cool lots of fun and cool photo shots.
If you're ever back in Chattanooga, less than a mile from the Tow Truck Museum is Coker Tire, they do daily tours and have an amazing garage that you would never know was there
I liked both of your shirts, in the towing museum it looked like one can be a kid at heart..hopefully those guys can get that maze worked on again and get it back together. Nice that they are wanting to do that..

for some reason. when ever I see the carpetbagger I think of the country bears jamboree at Disney, he needs a straw hat and a washboard. great job who knew there was a towing museum . safe travels bud .
Thank you for finding and sharing such unique and awesome hidden treasures with us. In a way, I saw the opposition the stick maze guys are facing as a parallel to your recent troll issue. :( Here we have some people passionate about builing something special. Unfortunately, it only takes a few jerks with ugly souls to destroy what they are building. Thankfully, they have the strength and passion to get back up again and keep building. That should be a lesson to all of us. Never let the ugly-hearted trolls in the world destroy our bamboo. You've built a beautiful thing, my vicarious friend. The ugly-hearted few may keep trying to tear it down, but you keep building. From what I see, that passion has been a source of inspiration for more people than you will ever know.
You are doing something I always wished I could do! Travel the states and search for quirky things! Thanks for living out my dream! I hope to run into you some day....."traveling"🙋🏻
I don't know why, the clip of you guys sitting in those chairs watching that video about the tow trucks made me laugh so hard. Another great vlog, Adam! Have a Woo-nderful day! hahaha.. ... get it? ...Woo-nderful... like .. Adam TheWOO... ...no? Okay...
I was listening to that song Losing my religion....then I heard you say "But, I still cant find what I'm looking for". now that song's bern in my head all day. lol, miss those 80's and 90's bands...sadly music today is just empty and repetitive. Rock on Adam the Woo!
you should go to Greene County Greeneville Tennessee on top of Green Mountain. It was a cold camp for Rich guys to gamble and do whatever. it was popular in the seventies eighties. Kind of creepy up there. and not too far from Davy Crockett's birth site which is pretty cool
"Hi" Adam, Cool vlog!, Sometimes it's nice to get off the beaten path to find lil' unknown treasures not really publicized; Tow Truck Museum, the clothing store, the stick maze, & in between. c:
