Beginners Guide to Arbitrary Waveform Generators (using the SDG 1032X)

In this video I talk about common waveforms waveform generator produce. These include generating different types of modulation schemes, frequency sweeps, and bursts waves. I also discuss changing parameters like amplitude, frequency, period,, and number of cycles. I do all the above using a Siglent SDG 1032X Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator.

Thank you for the in depth presentation.
Prior to viewing your video, I had purchased another generator and found that I needed software to set up AM and FM signals (downloaded just fine but will not transfer a wave to equipment as arbitrary)...here,
it is possible to set up on the equipment directly; the software has additional perks for inputing functions and drawing waveforms.
Superb, well paced video.

Hi Clyde - Thanks for this helpful overview of the SDG1032X. I recently purchased one of these units and have been able to generate all the waveforms you showed. What I’d like to do, but haven’t found a way, is to generate a periodic sequence of FM sweeps. So, for example, have it generate 100ms sweeps every 2 seconds continuously. Do you know a way to do so? Thanks in advance! - Jim

I think it can but you would have to program it to create binaural beats yourself.
