It's a burnout feeling even when you like your work. It really piles on close to the 30 yr career mark as your parents pass and you realize your remaining time is less than your past. The value of personal time over business becomes more clear and some feelings of regret over past use of time start to creep in. So, take time for yourself and loved ones earlier than later.
Thank you for bearing your soul in this one, Andrew. You add value to so many peoples' lives. I resonate with what you said on so many levels. I was at the top of my game 3 years ago, having, as a single mom, taken my 6 kids to live in the Czech Republic. In spite of tons of criticism from family for doing that, we loved the people and they loved us, we built a business and we flourished. Then, because of covid, we had to come back to the US in 2020. Almost instantly, I was attacked by narcissists in every sphere of my life. I fell into that freeze response and I've pretty much lost everything and am having to start over. But, you sharing gives me hope. Those people think they've crushed me and that I'm done, but they've got another thing coming. I will not quit. I will not give up. The best is yet to come. And next time, we won't be coming back.
I’m a Canadian (America Lite, without the attendant ostensible perks of the US but sharing all of the socioeconomic downsides). Recently acquired my EU member passport and am giving Czechia a hard look even with not speaking the language (yet). Can you speak to the biggest cultural/socioeconomic differences (both better and any worthwhile worse) that would may immediately impact an under-40 expat settling there long term. Of course Prague would be the obvious initial target to set up for future plans due to English prevalence but was wondering about more “on the ground” tips that cannot be easily found online. Thanks.
To help you with your question , Prague is already full of expats from all over the world. Yes, you can use English and learn Czech over the time, but the locals are not that friendly as they used to be before. They are tired of all foreigners. Prices are sometimes more than in Canada or US. I would opt for less crowded place. Czechia used to be diferrent than it is now. @@jasperalberts7647
Happy Birthday Andrew ! 🎂 I will share my Mothers words of wisdom with you : You think your old at 30, then you turn 40 . You think your old at 40 , and then you turn 50 . You think it’s all over at 50, and then you hit 60. At 60 you feel ancient , and then you turn 70 and you realize how young you were …. Aging is not fun for anyone , but you are a baby Andrew , you have a long long way to go ! ( From a senior subscriber )
The main “ problem” and reason to sadness in growing old is/are the goals. We mentally establish where we are going to be when we reach this or that age… When we arrive, we are never at the point we thought we would be. And the problem goes on and and on until the cycle is broken : we never arrive because we are always going ( until we aren’t = death) and the best of ourselves and the best of our lives is where we are at, (no matter what ) because there is no other. Enjoy life. It’s precious!

Congratulations and happy birthday. I have become a global citizen watching your videos. I totally understand. I journal and maybe because I am a women that I faced that feeling a long time ago. I enjoyed getting this chance to see a bit more of Andrew's personal side. He's a successful at business but he's also very human and humble. Happy 39th Birthday AH 🎂🎉🥳
Andrew, I personally needed to hear this video for so many reasons. I can't thank you enough for being so open and honest in this video. There are a LOT of us that have suffered through the same things you've been through. It helps to have someone we admire like you show us that we are doing the right things. Please keep making videos like this. I'd love to see these kinds of videos more often. Entrepreneurs need this kind of encouragement and example. Love your company and I hope I can be successful enough one day to be able to use your services.
THE AUTHENTICITY WITH THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING AND WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS. WE NEED TO SHARE OUR FLAWS MORE OFTEN. ITS IMPORTANT WE SEE EACH OTHER FLAWS AND MAKE SPACE FOR THEM.
I would love to one day use your services but even if I dont - you are a shining light - you give people hope - you are nomad capitalist- I remember that video and I am more than happy you are back. Oooh looking forward to what you are bringing to the table. Much love to you and thank you.
I'm probably never going to be a customer for your services, but i appreciate the food for thought, and it's helped me to move to another country, which i am enjoying. So thankyou.
This is what real growth looks like and it’s amazing. I also appreciate that while NC is geared towards the higher incomes, Andrew still puts time aside to elevate everybody. His successes are well earned.
My goal of starting a business is never to sell, but to create an opportunity to do what I love. I would feel like an alien everytime I would say it out loud, but it's great to hear someone else finally say what seemed so obvious to me. The thing about speed really resonated with me. Was talking with a friend, who always takes ages to make a decision about anything. I asked him, what exactly is there to think about for so long? I came to the realisation that there is no thinking. It's just coping. A paralysis, brought upon by this idea that there is a "perfect decision" that I need to find, and anything else is a failure. The reality is that doesn't always exist, and an imperfect descision that is swift and decisive is sometimes better than a delayed "perfect decision".
Happy bday Andrew. Long time listener here. You really help motivate me to leave Canada and take more control of my life. Now living in Mexico. Lifestyle has improved dramatically. Lots of what you said in this video resonated with me. Lots of what we do right at our company seems to reflect your beliefs. We do it by being different. Radical transparency, high standards. Completely async, no useless meetings. Can't wait to work with you in the future.
I love that you shared you are seeking kindness and were mindful about that. I am finding the world (US-Based) is so divided and antagonistic. We forget to emphasize kindness. It's draining my soul. Thank you for putting that out there.
There is deep value in introspection and inventory of your talents because if you dont have a rudder and a compass, Andrew, others smell that as a weakness and will push you around. A compass, a rudder, then boundaries personally and professionally. Then, once you have your purpose, you can drive. It still requires constnt vigilance. Best wishes, Kiwi
I have watched dozens of your videos over many years. This is the most introspective Andrew I have ever heard or seen. Many profound take aways. Many of the required transformations you spoke of I have had to address also, on an ongoing basis. Birthdays have a way of centering us in a reflective space. Very much enjoyed this and look forward to seeing you in the future.
Just watched this video now. Happy belated birthday. You are a beautiful soul, Andrew. It shows so clearly in this video. One can clearly see that you are a special human being. Even though I don't know you you have shared with us a glimpse into your heart and for that I am thankful.
Ive always admired you, & always recognized how intelligent you are. glad you are finding yourself & recognizing your accomplishments. If only more people were like You. Happy🎉Birthday 🎂 Andrew!
There is a saying “They join the legion because they want to be loved”. Your observations on moving away reminded me of that. Love your thoughtfulness and humour.
My siblings and I all found you independently and started sharing your videos! We love you! I am so excited to hear what you’re doing to help people in the next phase! You are so good at what you do and I’m glad to hear that you’re staying in the game and not selling! Thank you for sharing alittle of who you really are with us today on you’re birthday! Happy 39th Andrew!! Here’s to 39 more!
A belated happy birthday, and thank you for your transparency. I.m an 70 yr. old off gridder in central BC, and living my dream. Sadly my government seems hell bent on stealing it from me. Listening to you for a year or so has teased me to the point of seriously considering liquidating my holdings, and doing it over in a place that would treat me better. A heartfelt thank you.
Wow, I am impressed by this video. It was incredibly profound, especially considering reflecting on his 39th birthday. I was truly impressed by Andrew's dedication to uncovering and speaking the unvarnished truth. His ability to navigate both the internal and external aspects of Nomad Capital's mission and vision is truly admirable earning his that success. It's clear that his commitment to radical transparency, along with his willingness to adapt, make tough decisions, and establish firm boundaries (even with customers) is no small feat. And sharing insights from over half a dozen influential books, along with his thorough analysis, was a wonderful extra gift. This particular video content is truly exceptional and offers valuable lessons for anyone. Thank you for sharing!
Loved this video Andrew. I'm a current client. Stay strong. 99% are behind you and the 1% that arent.... well. Nothing we can do to those. Hope to meet you one day. Moving to KL in July
Thank you for your kind words! We appreciate your support. Looking forward to meeting you at our Nomad Capitalist Live event in Kuala Lumpur this September.
Good for you!! This is so important and all entrepreneurs struggle with "turning it off"... You are inspirational and I'm glad you took that time for yourself.... Happy Birthday 🎉
This is a great video. I know exactly what you're talking about when you start discussing the "low self esteem" of your business. I'm ion a business that creates and manages highly competitive public sector bid events, and the vendors hate me with a black-hearted, all-consuming passion. Even my own customers bristle when they hear that the school district will be using our bid process, because then their favorite vendor may not win. It's been very very difficult to maintain a positive self-esteem about my business over the years, regardless of the millions of dollars we have saved our clients and taxpayers, not to mention the fact that getting close to government procurement and seeing the corruption at even the most granular level that ends up costing taxpayers dearly can cause me to lose nearly all faith in government. So, anyway, it was nice to hear you talk about that. Happy birthday, Andrew.
Andrew what a wonderful, sensitive, from the heart video. Keep up being who you are and doing what you are doing. Many like me have been emboldened and energised by your knowledge and change your life videos. Happy 39th. You're still a young un! From UK with love❤
I so appreciate you sharing not only what you learned but you're why, who you are & who you intend to keep being & celebrating. I certainly celebrate who you are which you express thru your misssion/calling, that some describe or define as your business. :)
You really are an inspiration, all my life people thought I was an alien for always pointing out the obvious, to want to go Where you're treated best. My journey is just beginning and I hope one day to be able to meet you in person. My best wishes to you for the years to come.
It’s incredible to see a business and you dive deep in order to serve in a better way. I love this so much and I have no doubt you and your company will flourish
Congratulations on your anniversary! I'm not your client, but I watched many of your videos and I like them. By the way, I pursue the same idea of having a multiple passports and going where you treated the best. I've relocated several times and each time it worked for me. Thanks for posting those videos, I find them educational and in many case validating my ideas. Keep up the good work.
I’m 59, one year south of 60, No million dollars, but love your channel, and loved this birthday reflection. So spot on and I’m learning. I did take the little I had and bought myself the cheapest home in a great locale, so starting (again) from there. Keeping my options open for the next 20 years of my life. It’s a great ride. Thanks
Andrew, I am amazed at your ability to analyze and use that analysis to create a happier you, a happier (and probably more productive team) that will better serve, ( that's right) better serve your clients, and soon those who would love to be your clients. That talent alone is a piece of genius sadly missing in too many people. How blessed you are to have it and cultivate it as you do. I'm 73 and my plan A now involves going where I am treated best, (reinforced by listening to you). Fortunately I don't need help with that but if I did, I would definitely come to you. Take it from an elder, you are moving in the right direction and what and how you are doing it will make many people happy. Continue to do what you come to understand is right for you and those you work with. That are many of us who listen to you who will be more than happy to praise you for what you've accomplished and will accomplish.
I have been following your videos for a while now. I am not a 7-8 figure or even a 6-figure earner. I don’t “fit” in your group, but I am and entrepreneur (on pause right now). I have kept asking myself ‘why do I keep watching Andrew and his brilliant company’? and at this moment, 16:16 into this video, I am crying because now I know… as you talk about the message of The Boy the Mole The Fox and The Horse, I know… I too am looking for that place to belong, to love, and to thrive and make a difference. I thank you for your transparency. I thank you for all you do. At 67 years old I am planning and scheming and trying to find a way to live in a place where I am treated best, a place where people still love, and a place I can thrive. I hope to meet you someday. You are the kind of person I would love to be friends with. You are younger than half my children, but you are such an encouragement to me! Keep going! Not only can you do this, you are making such a huge difference in so many lives! In my life! Thank you Andrew! Happy Birthday!
You have completely humanized yourself! I loved your business so needed in this day and age: And I love the books you chose. I recommend, “the Alchemist”, among the books I’ve loved. You filled a niche. Keep on going. You sure have made me think, ‘who move my cheese’…
Although I have only been a subscriber for maybe 6 months, I think that I have seen all of your video content. I have learned from most of the information that you and your team have provided. However, this video resonated with me on a personal level more than any of them. Keep up the good work Andrew and Nomad Capitalist team. Thank you for everything that you do.
I am one of those people who are not rich but want to escape the dictatorship of Trudeau. I look forward to you changing approach to help people like me.
Great to hear your struggle and reflection. Very grateful for you sharing this with humility and honesty, 🙏 so much. I hear you and you’ve built something super.
Happy birthday! What a great show. You’re a great person, very cool, and you are changing lives. I’m 57, recently divorced with 3 children 25, 18, & 14. I plan on moving out of the US. You’re helping me understand where to go. I’m also looking into digital remote work. I’m a great salesman, with a good voice, well versed in several subjects. I’m learning how to use my laptop. If there’s opportunities working with your company, I would love it. With 22 years working at NOBU and other world class restaurants, I’m a people person, who leads by example. God bless you. ❤
One of your big accomplishment is to be an inspiration for libertarian people, i mean, i just come back from Tbilissi Georgia and well, it was because of you.Nice and friendly people, i will return very soon!
I'm so happy you're back, Andrew, happy for your fuller sense of Self. I've been watching your show on TH-cam for a couple of years now, & dreaming & planning about my own fuller sense of Self as a citizen of the world. These are dreams & plans I never would have had had I not curiously clicked on your video one unremembered day back then. Thank you for these! My best wishes for your continued fulfillment on your journey. Happy birthday! 🎉
Nearly EVERYTHING you mentioned in this video I resonate with. Andrew., I've been watching your channel for 3 years now. I'm subbed on two channels. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, YOU deserve the things you've mentioned that were imperatively important to you. I salute you and wish you nothing but the BEST and peace of mind
Anyone with half a brain can clearly see that you are a caring and capable individual with vision and heart . There are a lot of haters out there that are envious of someone's success and positive energy. Do not let anyone dim your light. Thank you for all your wise and captivating videos. They give us hope in an insane world.
Great stuff❤ I am going through a divorce due to lack of respect and love from my soon to be ex. I am also very dissapointed with the foreign policy of the US govt trying to start WWIII and the lying media both right and left blaming Russia and their allies when these wars are the fault of the American govt. So my next book wil be Nomad Capitalist. I am a not a self employed person so the goal is a finding a work from home positon. God bless Andrew.
It takes lot of courage from you Andrew to open your life and your business situation like this. I salute you! I am not a 7 figure entrepreneur buy i love listening each of your video because there is a philosophy behind that not a lot of people want to share. It opened my mind to the next step we want to go and most importantly want to be. You re right taking a step back to see the big picture of the forest will help your holistic decisions into your future to feel better peace… thank you for sharing this moment
Happy Birthday, Andrew! A wonderful and helpful vlog. You should be very proud of your company and all your vlogs. You are helping people find a better life elsewhere. Sometimes you have to accept your past, but leave it behind. Going somewhere else is like turning the page of a book. A new beginning!
I’ll be keen to hear what is coming up for the non 6 figure-yet folks! Always extremely helpful and informative. An amazing intellectual perspective on everything people need help with. Great service to humanity Andrew!‼️
I hope the nature of this video is what characterises the new year's videos from Nomad Capitalist. I feel like the bar has been raised a little bit here to a higher plane.

I don't make New Years resolutions. I always use my birthday to reflect. It isn't so much about being rich or poor but about being able to change. I keep in mind it's grist for the mill. I am grateful for all the information and the sometimes the surprise of a personal response in the chat. Well wishes to you on your birthday.
Hi Andrew, Although I'm not your target client, I do watch most of your videos ( especially the Malaysia ones ). I greatly appreciate this courageous, frank , sit down, self critique. You deserve so much credit for all you've accomplished. So many naysayers and negative people around. The message to "find love, give love in your work and all will take care of itself". People leaving their home countries for better business / financial environments are usually tough people to work with. ha ha Keep your chin up and do what you do ! Thanks ( with Love )
Happy Birthday Andrew. I have been viewing your content for years. I tried to use Nomad Capital’s services to assist In Citzenship by Descent but at the time I was informed that Nomand was not providing these services. It must have been when you were weeding out the corporate slackers. I have read most of the books that you mentioned but like your other selections. I highly recommend “Build” by Tony Fadell he has a chapter on not hiring assholes. Life is too short for having Toxic/Negative people in one’s life. You need to ferret out this cancer and get rid of them ASAP before they infect the rest of the team or your personal relationships.
Happy belated birthday. Your videos are wonderful. My daughter turned me on to your kids, and since I have checked in and enjoy spending ding time with your casts. Thank you. Keep loving life and wandering the world. Peace and joy is a mental state as much as a state of security when you can wander and wonder freely. Burn out is real, but your fabulous to bist it up. Your an analytical genius.

Happy birthday, Andrew! I love your video because it speaks to many challenges we all have in life, no matter where we're at in our journey - young and just starting out, a seasoned entrepreneur or like me in my 50s making a new start. Thank you so much for your sincerity!
Hey Andrew! Thanks for being so transparent in this video. I'm an entrepreneur and have had similar situations and feelings as to what you described. You telling your experience and how you evolved the situation was very helpful for me to hear!

THE AUTHENTICITY WITH THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING AND WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS. WE NEED TO SHARE OUR FLAWS MORE OFTEN. ITS IMPORTANT WE SEE EACH OTHER FLAWS AND MAKE SPACE FOR THEM.
As someone starting my own company, I'll definitely come back to this video again and again.
Thanks for being willing to open up and show your vulnerability. It's very refreshing. Happy birthday Andrew 💫💥
Andrew it's really cool when you show this more vulnerable and softer side of you as an entrepreneur. I really respect it :)
I would love to one day use your services but even if I dont - you are a shining light - you give people hope - you are nomad capitalist- I remember that video and I am more than happy you are back. Oooh looking forward to what you are bringing to the table. Much love to you and thank you.
Thank you so much!
Fellow Cdian here. Where in MX ? Thanks,
Happy birthday Andrew! 🎉This was so interesting! Thanks for sharing your story
"People want to find a home." This is spot on.
I love that you shared you are seeking kindness and were mindful about that. I am finding the world (US-Based) is so divided and antagonistic. We forget to emphasize kindness. It's draining my soul. Thank you for putting that out there.
I love these birthday reflections you do . So glad you took the 5 months off.
Happy birthday Andrew! We appreciate you
Just watched this video now.
This is the first time I've seen the, soul, behind what Nomad Capitalist stands for. And I love it!
There is a saying “They join the legion because they want to be loved”. Your observations on moving away reminded me of that. Love your thoughtfulness and humour.
Happy. belated Birthday! I enjoy your presence online and I listen to you even if I am not. 6-8 figure entrepreneur!
Thank you ! Nice hearing from this true part of yourself !
Blessings to you and family !
🌠
Happy Birthday.
We are so thankful & proud of you.
Looking forward to it. Me and my wife definitely feel disconnected from the culture and the people in America.
you are an angel Andrew, thank you for alllll your energy, insight and love...............God bless and protect you 24/7..................
Check out Norway....
Happy Birthday Andrew, times flies so fast totally agree
Sometimes it is not the place you are in, but rather the time in your life, and your level of maturity that determines wanting to change locations.
Wow 🤩 what an insightful point! You bring in people who perpetuate your feelings of low self esteem. And you’re afraid you might quit striving.
"Happy Belted B-day"!! Andrew, ya look handsome, ya look great😎... We WILL meet one day. Ty for ALL🙏🙏 Ur a man that knows what he's doin'💖💙💜💖💙💜
Happy birthday! I'm hoping the last part of your message means I'll soon be a customer! Can't wait to hear more about it!
Thoughtful, inspiring, Andrew. Seek and promote kindness. Love it. Thank you.
Thank you!
Happy Birthday Andrew. Be happy and get what you deserve. You've made me think a lot over years. Hope you have many more Great Birthdays.
Happy birthday Andrew... may God bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go where you're treated best indeed.... but go where you're happiest.
Amazing assessment!! Congratulations on your endurance!! We appreciate your channel.....
So much knowledge and wisdom for someone that’s not even 40. Amazing 😊🙏
Looking forward to your 40th birthday update.
You’re great…. And you’re honest… and you been helping people for years!
Thank you! Your comments resonate on a very personal level.
Happy birthday, and wishing you very many more
Thanks for sharing your story and it will go a long way for those who need it.
Happy Birthday Andrew. Had a great time in Kl at the Nomad Capitalist event!
I think you are an extraordinary person.
Anyone with half a brain can clearly see that you are a caring and capable individual with vision and heart . There are a lot of haters out there that are envious of someone's success and positive energy. Do not let anyone dim your light. Thank you for all your wise and captivating videos. They give us hope in an insane world.
Great stuff❤
I am going through a divorce due to lack of respect and love from my soon to be ex.
Happy birthday! You are a major success and leading the industry in your niche! Keep going and much love!
Happy Birthday Andrew. I appreciate your courage and candor. The Nomad Capital videos and book have been and still are so helpful.
Andrew Sincere Heartfelt Happy Birthday Greetings to You !!!

Great Video ... Keeping it REAL
Blessings Andrew to You and Yours... Hugs with LOVE
Businesses are like the military. There is your way, my way, and the right way.
Thank you!
Thanks Andrew. We need way more kindness in the world. Great business model 🥰
Happy Birthday Andrew! This is one of your best videos. Have a program whereby you can help those of us whom are not millionaires/ billionaires. Thank you for your TH-cam videos it has helped me decide, when I retire to move abroad.
I'm 79 1/2 and I listen to you all the time and I'm getting my passport so I can have options just in case I need it. Thanks for doing what you do. I have learned alot and will learn more as we go along.
Wonderful!
