"Long live the Christmas Shrimp" - The bias tape is a style element; not a mistake!!! Loved the retro Christmas lights. You were having some fun with this one.
I like the “wrong” bias tape! It creates a strong visual boundary that looks intentional if you don’t tell us otherwise. Especially for a novelty skirt with giant Christmas lights. It may not be what you had in mind, but it looks great.
LONG LIVE THE CHRISTMAS SHRIMP!!! Your earrings are glorious. I'm new to the channel but already subscribed last week because I ✨love ✨chaos✨ sewing :D I could also really do with a good circle skirt pattern as I messed up the last two I made - the waist is too large on both 🙃 The idea of appliqueing some mountains to make up for the lack of green fabric is nothing short of genius!
Btw can I just say when me and my husband need background sound we go find your longest videos from the past and put them on, your videos are the best..even my husband Sir Canadian has you on HIS TH-cam account ❤ he has gone to thrift stores and found patterns and picked them up for me because of you❤
Long live the Christmas Shrimp, Being a southern hemisphere woman, christmas shrimp are a thing in New Zealand. Love both skirts, and I love the candy cane tights, so awesome. Have a very wonderful holiday season. Christmas is my favorite time of year.
I have watched LOTS of your videos, and I'm glad I found this one. LOVE your style, down to showing us your mistakes. After all, "Pobody's Nerfect" and watching videos of PROFESSIONAL seamstresses stitch with ease and a serene smile on their faces is unnerving!! My seam ripper is my old/new best friend; because I need it, and a screaming goat would be a nice touch, too! I JUST love your pattern hauls (a real walk down memory lane). Keep on, keepin' on; Stephanie! SUBSCRIBED!!
I love both skirts! I love how the pink trees turned out on the green skirt too! Very cute! And you did a great job on the Christmas lights strand! Those earrings had me chuckling so hard! And so did the candy cane tights! I need a pair of those both of those! The tights and the earrings! LOL! Long live the Christmas shrimp! LOL!
Just recently found your channel while looking at videos for the Walkaway Dress.... and now I'm hooked! I just love your humor. Oh, and your voice-overs are just what I need to make my day brighter. As for these 2 skirts, I thought you did a great job. Have to admit that my favorite is the green one. The white corduroy that you added to the bottom really made this one stand out. Of course, the red one is cool, too. Don't think I'd have had the patience to put all those appliques on it. All in all, a great, entertaining video. Looking forward to more. Thanks!
Long live the Christmas Shrimp!!! You are one of my favorite you tubers. Love your style. And I've been drooling over the patterns on the Mrs. Depew site. Thanks for that. lol
"Long live Christmas Shrimp" ! This was a fun video . I love the snowy mountains idea. I'd love to try that with different shades & textures of green trees . The Xmas lights , great idea.
Long live the Christmas Shrimp! I must Admit, I've never seen anything like them before😂. You are just the most entertaining seamstress on TH-cam, Stephanie. I feel more comfortable about my frequent errors and expeditions into extravagant swearing while sewing after watching a few Stefanie Canada videos. Thanks for making my life just that much lighter. BTW -- Mrs Depew is the greatest.
Those were both so much cuter than I thought they would be from your comments on the way. I was prepared to dislike the burgundy one but it’s very cute but I really love the green one. I love the way that you designed the border. Very charming. The tights and petticoats really make them both even better!
Btw there's a method shown in the Decades of Style Chore Skirt pattern to add a pocket AND a zip together. I printed out just those pages and keep them on my sewing table for reference and have used them in trousers too.
Long Live the Christmas Shrimp.😂 Loved both skirts, but my fav is the green one. Thanks Stephanie for a great year of TH-cam and Happy Holidays to you and your family🎄🎄🎄
Long live the Christmas shrimp/shramp! This video was particularly fun (especially the helpful pupper) but I love watching all of them. Chaos sewing is great!
Long live the Christmas Shramp! Sometimes you just need to wear a skirt that could double as an actual Christmas tree skirt. Your floofy helper is the best little helper.
I see your puppy and want to cry. My Poodle esme passed away about a year and a half ago and I still miss her so much. Give your pupper extra love for me
Long live the Christmas shramp! And are those snags tights I spy there? I have that same pair. Love love love how the Skirts came out, I'm definitely stealing both those ideas for next year. I'd love to see what you come up with for some similar Skirts but with other seasonal designs throughout the year. And you getting the fabric out from the middle of the pile gave me flashbacks to the garment district in Los Angeles, fabric piled wall to wall 10 feet high and those employees are like magical little elves scurrying around and somehow pulling out every roll and bolt you want to see lol
Stoooooop yourself!!!!! These came out so stinking adorable!!!! And I also have a fluffy helper. Mine is a kitty named Winter, and she will interrupt my crocheting for kitty hugs where she goes up on my shoulder and nuzzles my hair for a bit as if to say, "Mommy you need a kitty hug break". Your baby is so adorable and clearly a princess. What a good helper!!!! ❤
❤🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄The red skirt looked amazing. The pink trees looked like pizza slices with pepperoni on the green skirt. You can’t win them all! Thank you for your courage thru your illness and you triumphed. You are the BEST!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Long live the Christmas SHRAMP! I'm so envious of your fabric stash - before moving back in Feb of this year, I gave away 90% of my fabric that I had been collecting for nearly 20 years because we were downsizing from 2600sf + garage to a 1300sf home. thank you for allowing me to live a little vicariously through your channel.
Long Live the Christmas Shirmp! Long Live the Christmas Shramp! I love changing the green skirt with the white on the bottom to compensate for the shortness of the cloth. It was very clever of you to have the snowing edging! Love it!🎄🎄🎄
LONG LIVE THE CHRISTMAS SHRIMP AND SHRAMP!!! Those earrings are incredible!! I love them!! I love both of the skirts! They turned out so cute and posing at the trees at Disney Springs (I saw that Earl of Sandwich sign in the background,) was perfect!!
"Long live the Christmas Shrimp" - The bias tape is a style element; not a mistake!!! Loved the retro Christmas lights. You were having some fun with this one.
OMG Stephanie, you said "the velvet" and your husband knew which one you meant 😂 Hang onto that one, he's a keeper!
Agree! I thought he was a true hero, plus she didn't have to ask him to help. He offered.
He's been around her long enough to know !
Relationship goals
fabulous hubby! so sweet and understanding!!
I like the “wrong” bias tape! It creates a strong visual boundary that looks intentional if you don’t tell us otherwise. Especially for a novelty skirt with giant Christmas lights. It may not be what you had in mind, but it looks great.
The red bias tape creates a matchy transition to the candy cane leggings/tights!
Long live te Christmas shrimp! 😂😂
These could also be Christmas Tree skirts. 🎄😀
LONG LIVE THE CHRISTMAS SHRIMP!!! Your earrings are glorious. I'm new to the channel but already subscribed last week because I ✨love ✨chaos✨ sewing :D

"Long Live the Christmas Shrimp!" And even if I don't win, I plan to buy the pattern and work on skirts with a niece who also loves vintage.

Your pup walking and playing all over the fabric was the best part.❤
wasn't that great! 💝😃

Long live the Christmas Shramp! Love those earrings and this channel. I’m thrilled to be introduced to this pattern company I did not realize existed.
You are the chaos coach I never new I needed ❤ the enabling is strong with this one 😊

The vintage trim on the light skirt is such a nostalgic thing for me ❤ long live the Christmas Shrimp 🦐🦐

Oooh, thanks for the tip! I’ve been avoiding side zips 😅
Long live the Christmas Shrimp
Long Live the Christmas Shrimp.😂

Long live the Christmas shrimp/shramp! This video was particularly fun (especially the helpful pupper) but I love watching all of them. Chaos sewing is great!
Even the most dedicated sewer must pause for a thorough good doggie rubbing. Love the velvet. Green good but those bulbs are everything.
Long live the Christmas Shramp! Sometimes you just need to wear a skirt that could double as an actual Christmas tree skirt.
Your floofy helper is the best little helper.
No project is ever complete without a pet scan🐾🐾🐾 Long Live the Christmas Shrimp

The red skirt with the lights is accurate to how much I struggled with getting the lights on the tree this year. 💜
Long live the Christmas Shrimp! Great chaotic video, because who doesn’t love a bit of surprise in a rather simple skirt design?
Long live the Christmas Shrimp! And loved the skirts.
Long live the Christmas Shrimp!! All hail the Christmas Shrimp!
Long live the Christmas SHRAMP!
