Tim Sillars: I know the feeling, surprisingly I also have a channel and I also have to work at the same time lol. I always say you try to make time, but sometimes it doesn't always happen. and even on days you don't have to work, life still gets in the way when you have kids around lol.
@@norseman5631 watching someone play and you playing are two different things, because now you have to put in the time of whatever game you're playing at the moment. and most of us as you know once we start something, it's very hard to put it down. so here you have somebody who obviously has time to record and sit for 4 hours, then upload to TH-cam which can take awhile even with a good CPU.

@@talontitanleaf9881 I think that the developers kinda wanted the players to feel the "fear of the unknown" like in every other media... Your brain can imaginate things that are 1000x scarier than it actually is. And sometimes there's no need to explain everything.

I'm playing through for the first time right now. The graphics are dated, but enjoying it otherwise so far. Definitely has a Resident Evil feel to it.

Stigma: I definitely would say it has some Resident Evil vibes, mainly when the series shifted to the more action oriented Resident Evil games like 4 and 5, but nothing about this game reminds me of anything in Silent Hill. although I can see why you say that with certain parts of this game.

This is hands down the best gaming channel. No commentary and players (I’m assuming it’s multiple people, but I have no idea) who don’t wander around aimlessly and who are actually good at the games, unlike just about every other TH-cam gamer. It’s like watching a really long horror movie. I love it.

I like how you don't just behave like a new player and constantly extend the time with useless back tracking like some other no commentary playthrough youtubers. You make everything work and not feel drawn out. I really enjoy watching these videos just to relax.

This game is a masterpiece, its a piece of art, that's how a horror game should be made, thrill, suspense, blood and gore mixed with expert story writing and character design, the attention to detail is plausible. Standing ovation to the creators and the player of course who made it so much more interesting. ⭐⭐⭐

The storytelling and the characterization in this game were a lot better than the second one. The conversation between Sebastian and Joseph feels very human, realistic and grounded. The dialogues in TEW2 felt overdone and forced, I miss TEW1’s serious tone storytelling…
I think perhaps that you are more resonating with the originality of the first game. I have enjoyed both equally, they both have their good points. I have a feeling that there was more money for the sequel, or new people were added to the team. Maybe the mild changes in direction or creation style are what feels off to you?
The sequel does have a bit more of an action-based theme, there are more characters to interact with. The feel of it is a little different. But I personally think the sequel is quite true to the artistic direction of the original, it just expands upon it, as all good subsequent games should.
What I will say is that when Sebastion walks into the mirror, the safe place is a lot smaller, so it does lose some atmosphere from that. Yet, it is balanced off with much greater functionality and new options.
The original game has a very "Silent Hill" feel to it. This carries on into the sequel game, but that has an added later of something akin to "Metal Gear Solid." As well, there is a lot more jumping around in the second game, you play different characters at times, whereas with this one you just stick with Sebastian.
The second game is alot better lol, i still enjoyed the first game but the sequel is better in every way

These games were like Silent Hill series and Resident Evil franchise put together mixed with the world of Inception/The Matrix. Feel nostalgia watching this. Like sci-fi, horror and adventure in one title. Hopefully we will see a sequel soon.

i just finished it, i tell you this is my favorite game i have ever played! a masterpiece! it was so good! even better than the second! this game is a 10/10. the second is 8/10. on pc you can adjust the FOV and get it above 100fps if your rig is good. best story characters atmosphere gameplay WOW. i will always now recommend this game as number 1.
I agree! I enjoyed the sequel, but I honestly enjoyed the first game more. I understand that the sequel cleaned a few things up, but the story and the gaming experience from the first one were incredible. This is a game I can play again, and I have!

This was a great game, the 2nd one was still good but I thought that the 1st one was a lot better.
Damien Weaver: ya I agree. the second one ain't bad, but I do think it was a bit rushed. they wanted to capitalize on what made the original so good, but instead of taking there time they ended up rushing it forcing it come out a year after the first. plus capcom was working with different writers compared to ones who worked on the first one. but like I said it's not a bad game, but in some ways I compare it to the Resident Evil Revelations games. the first one was pretty good, but the second one while it had it's moments, it didn't quite live up to the first Revelations game. in the beginning it started off kind of creepy, but once you get past episode 1, it felt more like an action game than a horror game. but surprisingly capcom made more money on Revelations 2 because Claire is a fan favorite with alot of people.

The jar you found in the toilet at the first time you woke up at the hospital in the beginning of the game sure reminds me of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. In SH2, you will find a key in a toilet and in SH3, if you exam a toilet, Hearter will be disgusted.
When I first started playing this game, Chapter 2 terrified me but eventually I overcame my fear and learned to love this survival horror game
Honestly it’s not as bad as the cover makes it look there were a few parts that creeped me out but nothing that really scared me that bad

An hour into the game and Sebastian never bothered to ask the doc what had happened to the world? Kind of weird...I mean I would ask it first thing back in the ambulance. Or did I miss something?

The first game is a lot linear in terms of exploration, which is good and bad, but often times when you played you would have wondered if this had some side areas and something else to do other and just running on and on it would be better, that was dome in 2.
Zombies and bosses, for me 1st one is better in my opinion, the zombies in 2 were more ferocious which i liked, but 1' s bosses were more there and memorable. Still miss shitty laura.
Story is something i liked with both but 2's seemed cliched and so predictable i was disppointed at how it was forced. But this where others have there preference and what really set the two games apart. One delivers you the face and other is like semi dark souls which you have to piece together as you go on which adds some layer of mystery and intrigue.

The game creators are goin a bit crazy on the 'looting' thing arent they... I wouldnt be suprised if skate 3 came out, but your board has vitality/ duarbility stats and youll have to hunt down fresh barrings across the map.

Not really. RE4 was when the series stopped being survival horror and made a shift towards action. Shinji Mikami made this game in order to go back to the roots of survival horror and I say this game succeeds big time.

Okay, I have a little problem cause when I first enter village with chainsaw boss...
I stealth kill all enemies but my issue is some of them have a handgun and I don't remember that first time I played (not talking about shotgun zombie on those stairs).
They literally carry an old school handgun and shoot at me from 2-3 meters 😑
My first play through I didn’t see the keys and tried sneak killing the guy then got killed. This happened repeatedly 10 more times or so before I realized the door to unlock was in the starting room…is it possible to kill him there or avoid the tripwire? Kinda lame if not but at the same time the games pretty good so far
