I can't deal with how DIVINE Siouxsie looks here. Her look is POINT ON. The stripes, the fantastique teased ponytail, the ear rings. It's just too perfect!
@@theimaginarygallery5935 She is a biological woman but......ok! Also I've seen trans women who are much prettier than biological women! P.S: Congrats on being a transphobic douche.
@@transsexualmenaceradfem Biological woman? Really? With those male hips? Straight back? Overdone makeup to cover male traits? I am not phobic of trans, just a little disappointed that there is so much deception thrown upon us (Marilyn Monroe was a M to F transgender as well as Candy Perfume Madonna!). Here is some proof Siouxsie was born a boy! th-cam.com/video/xJ7c2E_-ah4/w-d-xo.html
The Banshees were very smart not getting pigeonholed into any one genre. One of many reasons they endured as long as they did. That said, and i think Sioux would agree, that a majority of her fan base were old school punks and goths. The Banshees were never part of any scene, but their followers definitely were.
I've said this elsewhere and i really don't want to sound ''parrotish'' but this group is naturally short-listed for the 10 best EVER British Rock acts. For all those who sound their collective mouths off in ecstasies for Billy's Sgt Pepper or for Beggars Banquet, should go on a semestre-long diet of Kaleidoscope, JUJU, A kiss in the Dreamhouse and Hyaena, and if still in doubt, attend an extra seminar on Peepshow and The Rapture. The graal of the former Bromley Contingent, these albums perpetuate the Essence generated between The Scream and Join Hands. And two more things - if you ask me, the Banshees surpassed even Bowie as far as talent and divine spark are concerned, regarding the titanic endeavour of covering all time Rock classics ( Pinups vs. Through the looking glass); also, think of the magnificent ''parallel'' discography made of impeccable maxi45rpm they left us, with highly inspired original b-sides that usually came in pairs - that's respect and affection for the fan. Apart from that, we always had their sartorial artistic integrity as role model. What else can you ask?
Performed at the Escape , Amsterdam, and presented by Linda de Mol ofJohn de Mol Productions, wardrobe: P&C, commercially hidden adds. Pretty clever done.
@@TravisBickle1963 It took me years to find out the Banshees had never heard the original version by The Band, and were basing their cover on Driscoll's. I don't think she got a lot of airplay here in the US

Steven is stunning 🖤🖤🖤
Siouxsie is incredibly iconic.
Siouxsie is so gorgeous
banshees at their top era....priceless material...ok???
She's punk whether she likes it or not
She is pretty for a male to female transgender.

her hair is so crazy!
Beautiful. These earrings make a comeback on her Night Network video review appearance in July 1988. Don't say I never tell you anything.
you never tell us anything
Thank you ! Siouxsie is such a Great Artist !
Souxsie is a goddess
They seem like such nice people
Siouxsie è l'essenza dell'essere diva . Perfetta .
Memories ... Hooray 80's
This Wheel's on Fire with... My memory serves me well. In one word, Grace.
JVC was so underrated....Tinderbox and Looking Glass are the top of my list of best Banshees Albums..
He was as good as McGeoch
Fantastic ! Thanks for posting.
legend
Great band and a bit a shame there is not so many people following Steven Severin's new work .
I have one of his earlier works. Good. Interesting, but good.
Packet of B&H at the ready for Steve, and Sioux's own pack in front of her - and one HUGE ashtray!
The good old days when you could smoke in peace.
Wheels... On fire most certainly!

I can not believe she actually got away with that outfit back then, nowdays,no one would bat an eye.
foreseeing Absolutely Fabulous half a decade in advance
ps: ulcerative colitis
Her anti fashion style became the iconic look in the 80’s. When the goths took it! She dropped it .
As The Creatures she was experimental and forward looking.
good
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍😁😁😁😛
Poor JV Carruthers looks like he'd really rather not be there. I understand his time in the Banshees was frustrating for all involved
What's this at 2:08? Was there a video to the single?
Yes there was, if you search for it on TH-cam you will find it.
Is sh wearing a lil gold strap on?
Playback? WHY??
playback was normal on tv for decades how old are you
this is a bit rubbish i have to say
@Tom MacDonald It is shit though.
This is a horrible cover of this song
I love this version of the song! Nothings ever gonna beat the sublime beauty of Julie Driscoll's voice but this was great in 1987
