I had to share....this is my 5 year old daughter's favorite story of all time because of The Chosen. She loves to watch Jesus walking on water and then when he holds Simon and says "Peace be still!" She looks at Jesus as her hero, and even though she heard this story of Jesus walking on water in Sunday School at church, to see it on the show truly made it come alive to her. And I am thankful for that!

Cannot imagine the tons of work she does mostly behind the camera, but she disciples people through her writings and does critical ministry and relationship building for The Chosen. She also supports her husband, keeps him in prayer, discerns spiritual warfare issues/attacks, and speaks faith in Christ over everything and everyone related to this worldwide project. All this while being a mom. Wow. This lady understands her place as a daughter of the living God and Creator of the universe. Wow. Great role model!

I wanted u to know Dallas, I started watching this and had fallen away a very long time ago because of church doctrines & peoples. This series and the connection it made in my heart is why I've renewed my path. I don't know if I'm there yet, but I'm trying. God bless you. Keep your chin up. You're help people find Christ. I don't think you can condemn people in order to bring them to Christ. You need to love them. ❤️
You are completely right - God asks us to love people to Him, not be judgmental. I am also so glad that you are back on a path of getting closer to Jesus. Don’t give up and don’t be put off or distracted by the flawed human beings in churches. Keep your focus on Jesus himself and trust Him with your heart and life - He might not always answer the way or when you want, but He always gives us what He knows we need. Not only are you running towards Him; He is always running towards you as well - with His arms open wide like the dad of the prodigal son, ready to forgive and to hold you tight.
Its not for us to judge but to discern. Think about what this means...

If you would allow me: Adam's, the first man, punishment was to lose connection to his love - and men ever since live far from a loving acceptance. Eve did NOT get cut off from her heart, but her curse was to want to marry this flinty heart, men who would rule over them. So Jesus says we should worship Him in truth (mind, fleeing sin) and Spirit (heart, love); men/pastors are more comfortable with the mind, so sermons usually emphasize how often we sin (abusive). The Chosen's mission is to reach people's heart, women can embrace this better than men. Continue on your journey, try to see yourself the way Jesus' loving eyes would look at you.

Dallas - I never worried about the pride flag “issue”. The Lionsgate news, however, did cause me to flinch and gasp. The thought of Hollywood getting their dirty fingers into The Chosen horrified me - until you explained that Lionsgate is a distributor and would have nothing to do with the show itself. So thanks for the live stream tonight. Thanks, too, for such an amazing show. The Chosen has reignited my desire to know Jesus better and to be closer to him. I don’t see why they should apologise to make some viewers happy. They don’t believe they’ve done anything wrong. It wasn’t part of the show. It was an employed contractor. Would you not talk to someone if you knew they were gay. Does a Church ban gay people. Does the minister ask at the door if you’re gay,?

The Chosen changed my life. I grew up in a wonderful Christian home with a Christian extended family, many uncles were pastors. Through the years my religion grew cold. After watching season 1 episode 1 I could not get enough of THE CHOSEN and have loved every episode and now I spend hours with my Bible, study and prayers. Just so you know, God is bringing good out of this situation. Weirdly enough it has been a blessing for me just to see and hear how Dallas and his wife deal with disagreement. I’m not married, I mean just handling disagreement in life in general. I didn’t hear anything in this video where Dallas tried to understand the opposing view. He talked about the rules of kindness, said the first rule is to understand your opponents position and then went on to defend his own position. At no time did he humble himself to understand or address the legitimate concerns that have been raised by Christians about releasing a public video with the pride flag in it, right before pride month. Dallas’ response was nothing short of arrogant.

I am in tears over this livestream. I was one of the people who drew a REALLY hard line over the Mormonism thing and I had my daggers out and ready to attack Dallas. I think I even posted a comment on one of his past videos. With Dallas’ continued grace, steadfastness, and kindness through all of this controversy, I see God’s heart in what Dallas is saying. God loves LGBT people and Mormons deeply. We are pushing people away with our harsh words and stone hearts. Without speaking the truth in love, we can be SO RIGHT and yet SO, SO WRONG. I repent. 🙏🏼

This is very sad. Now, I don’t know who is hating on you, but I pray it is not authentic Christians (I stress “authentic”). If someone talks to you about Jesus, asks you to repent, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior, it is NOT because they hate you. It is because they love you and want you and them to be assured you are “saved” and are truly a follower of Jesus the Messiah. We all have to make this same confession and accept Him as Lord and invite the Holy Spirit to fill us to become part of His family. It is a matter of faith and grace. There is nothing we can do (no attending Temple or going on mission or anything) to merit His salvation. It is a free gift. Have you done that yet? If not, just call out to Him now. That is not hate, brother.

I know what you mean brother. Reading the "Mormonism" comment was another heartbreak for how much we're hated without knowing why🤔. Lion of Fire Ministries: instead of always looking for the negative could you not just concentrate on how God has created rainbows 🌈 after storms and we, too, can appropriate a rainbow for joys in our lives, for all of the colors that are present in the world that God made. How often we use the expression “ all the colors of the rainbow !”. Focus on all that God creates and try and understand as Dallas Jenkins so clearly expressed in the beginning of this video of “trying to understand without jumping in and condemning”.

This show was never under attack. The flag was allowed on this channel's promo video by their free will. That's not an attack, it's surrender.
Maybe Dallas should start praying on set with other believers to ward off demonic attacks and maybe change hearts of the non-believers on the set.

Those were my thoughts too! Satan's getting really scared of this show so he's using some pretty intricate spiritual attacks. Just like any other spiritual attacks people need to have their heart in the right place with God for real to be effective and to not be dissuaded. We can't just say we know who Jesus is and we have some convictions about various ideas and practices. If this is a belief for anybody and not also a complete lifestyle then they should not expect to be able to hear clearly what God is saying order to have a lot of ground to stand on when they come under spiritual attack. It's time for us to wake up body of Christ and start being real about it. Also for the record I believe that God is using non-christians to help make this show on purpose to shame all of us for being so lax in our walk with him. So many people who are posting and getting so upset about these issues but we need to ask ourselves a question. If God called us to be doing what some of these people are doing would we have answered the call or is it possible that he already tried and he ended up having to use people who didn't even follow him because we were too busy enjoying life? It's time for us to let ourselves be humbled before God so he can lift us up, it's time for us to get back to God in a true heart and not just to please a pastor or our own conscience❤

@@Teal_Seal Not quite the same. Many public and private companies put restrictions on such displays as they do not belong to the employee or hired contractor in this case. Hopefully, we can all get past the we are all sinners as we are. Is not Pride and the gay lifestyle considered an abomination to the Lord? Thanks to Jesus, we are forgiven of our sin, but don't we also have to repent and not celebrate the sin? I love this show. I am even more disappointed that the acceptance and learning how the others feel about is for Christians again to just look the other way. Why would it be too much for this contractor to understand this is a story about the life of Christ? Dallas mentioned there are non-believers who work for him and may receive push back and ridicule at home...fine, then choose another job. Would Dallas choose to work on a porn set? I would say not. This is still the best show available, but that does not mean we are not allowed to express out concerns.

My question is in view of the onslaught on Biblical values in our culture why not say as the head of this thing that you personally believe homosexuality is sin as it is declared in scripture as in Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6:9 &10 to list a few and set at ease those who are corncerned you are not holding to Biblical view on sin?

You’re misusing the verse. Am not part of those who are hateful but majority of Christian’s who have concerns. You can’t claim that verse when someone claiming to tell the word of God defend the very things against God. He didn’t personally support it but he didn’t see issues with pride flag. I found Dallas’ response to the legitimate concerns raised by Christians arrogant. He had no intention of trying to understand or address these legitimate concerns and passed them off as crazy. All he wanted to do was defend his position. The Chosen has lost many financial supporters and viewers over his lack of judgement.

Hi Dallas!!! When I came across the criticism videos on pride flag, somehow my heart wasn't carried away by those. One thing, I am sure that God is with you and the whole team. I believe, only men cannot produce this type of faith based series in their own knowledge and strength. We are with you.

What you say is good, but that flag shot, which I understand will be shown in the final production, was not an accident. We could debate it, but for 3 seasons, the offending contractor kept his sexual preferences to himself. But come pride month, he was compelled to step outside of the freedom of "his personal space" given by The Chosen; he invaded the "public's space". Jesus expects his followers to be an example of his teachings and obedient to his words ....an example of Gods commandments. If Jesus did this (see verse below) to those who were making money in the temple, you can maybe expect that had Jesus been on the set personally, he would have pulled the pride flag off and broken it in two. Then have some words to those running the show. Maybe told the young man with the pride flag that his sins can be forgiven and sin no more.

I pray we can stop falling victim to the hate that so controls our fallen world and bring Jesus’ healing love instead. I can’t imagine the Jesus we see portrayed in The Chosen ever giving in to behavior that hurts and divides. His love turns the world upside down and shows us a new way to walk.
Hate, hurting others, and judgement are never ever a part of the walk of his disciples, then or now. His work, in us via the Holy Spirit, heals and unites. So much wrong has been done in His name over the centuries since His ultimate sacrifice of love. How it must hurt Him!
Since season one, whenever I am tempted to lash out, to cause hurt or division, I try to remember the look on “Jesus’ face (Jonathan) in episode 3 as he listens to the children recite the Shema. Stops me in my tracks.
I can’t change the emotions I feel leading to the potential behavior but with His Grace, the behavior can change . I trust Him to soften my heart and work on the parts of me that fall short.
I hope to someday see that look of love from Jesus. I pray He will forgive me any time I caused him sadness or pain. I pray I will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant “, never “depart from me because I never knew you”. May He always help me live in and act from His love.
I am a mom of 3 kids. 2 are on the spectrum- many years ago a psychologist said " worry about yourself, allow God to worry about everyone else". Jesus did not judge or be mean. Living in South Africa my donation would be in cents our exchange rate is so bad. But my family laugh at me as I am determined everyone I know must watch it. As a fan of the chosen, I do appreciate you speaking once again on the topic. I am one of those who was quite concerned and disappointed at the response. With that said, I do feel that taking some type of stand from the beginning - just a basic dress code - would have made a huge difference, without being overbearing.
Unfortunately, it still feels as if this whole incident is being treated like the camera guy had some random flag that he bought in Las Vegas. The pride flag is not some benign thing that has no meaning. That flag doesn't tolerate (Christian) freedom of speech or ideas (unless it includes approved doctrine). Last week, a man was arrested just for reading scripture at a Pride parade. Pastors in Canada are now being arrested for standing against this whole push as well. Here in the United States, they're pushing to get rid of 501 status for churches that don't bend the knee and marry same-sex couples.
Under that flag, Christian businesses are persecuted and some are even being forced to shut down because they decline to do weddings or other events that violate their beliefs. (Check out Becket Cook's interview with a Christian couple who owned a wedding event center.) That flag supports and pushes destructive gender surgeries and se***** books for children. It supports forcing teachers to follow their doctrine in the classroom or be fired. So to have a blasé - he's one of our "favorite camera guy's" attitude is very concerning. I really hope someone will witness to him (the camera guy) and bring change to this man's heart.
I will continue to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters who are counting the cost and taking a stand.

It is a theatrical, loosely based show that has a bit of truth and a whole lot of creating an emotional connection, just as Dallas Jenkins has done with this very youtube promotional that is up now. Show me where in scripture where Jesus told Simon Peter to go 'be' with his wife? Where is scripture does Simon Peters wife have a miscarriage? Where does scripture tell of Simon Peters anger at Jesus for not protecting his wife? Where in scripture is there a time that Simon Peter and a Roman guard built a well together (spoiler I get that he is lining this up for Matthew 8:5-13. However this is NOT biblical. Claiming that is a lie.
@@creationsbyfaith Absolutely nobody is saying that is biblical. Dallas has always said the back stories that set-up the biblical stories are plausible but NOT scripture. The bible is made up of small snippets of events that happened. Dallas and team are just trying to show those events with some context as to how they MAY have happened. He has never claimed everything in the show is biblical.
We do so accept great novels that are historical fiction about biblical biblical themes, about the Civil War, and the list goes on. It has been written (John 21:25) that if all the works Jesus did were written, the world could not contain them……
The joy of all the stories that were written for us were enough about us that we could read our own hearts into every one. By what was written, we could imagine what made the characters who they were as they were so much like us. Back story does not change the facts or character of who Jesus is. Those stories, like parables, are speaking to people all over the world to read the Bible itself. Andrew Klavan quipped that when we don’t elevate good stuff, why are we surprised when we are surrounded by slop?
There are two criteria that I understand Dallas uses to hire his cast and crew. Are they the best available talent he can find, and do they faithfully translate Dallas’ message to the final product? The Chosen is not a church. No one is forced to enter into prayer or participate in the Christian faith when they accept the job. They are not invited to add their own ideas to the content, just do their jobs to the highest standards for which they were hired. As far as I can see, it’s being done and fulfilling the purposes for which God called it into being: salvations and a deeper walk with Christ. Jesus in the Chosen is the very same I’ve been studying in the Bible for almost 50 Years.

We host a watch parties and recently shared season one Bible study and DVD with a friend on the fringe of falling into a live relationship with our Savior. Pray for Richards continued full recovery after 60 days in ICU. Richard and Sue enjoyed first 2 episodes. Dallas and Amanda thank you for your many sacrifices to bring the world the Gospel in this day and age. Bless you both for your witness and dedication. Richard is a fishermen and the boat sinking with a miraculous catch got his attention. Tears flow for me every time the woman with the issue of blood gets her face cupped by Jesus when He calls her daughter. I grew up as a Catholic, received the Holy Spirit with joy after wondering in the desert for 20 years. Now married to a Pentecostal pastor, serving God in Mexico. Anyone who is really surrendered to Christ and walking in His spirit, cannot watch The Chosen without being aware of the hand of God on this project. I have been humbled before Jesus by this series more than anything else I have ever watched in my life. I am GLADLY supporting it no matter what! I have been in a battle with cancer for the past year and I am so thankful for The Chosen. When you think you are possibly hearing a death sentence, all of the pettiness of this world will fall by the wayside. The reality of life as it was then and the reality of Jesus turning the world upside down has never been clearer to me. I have cried more, worshipped Him more and loved Him more than I have in the past 40+years of my life because of the truth of this show. Please everyone, stop throwing sticks and stones and focusing on the distractions the enemy is throwing at this! I love when Jesus said the sermon on the mount was a map. If we want to find Him, look for these people, this kind of people. Meek, hungry for righteousness etc. If we are so focused on HIM, HIS TRUTH, TRUE LOVE and humbling ourselves before the supreme being He is, the God of all that ever was or ever will be, then we won't be attacking each other. Stop and think for a moment, if I die tomorrow, will God be pleased with what I am doing and say "Well done, good and faithful servant?" I think that for The Chosen project it will be a thunderous and resounding YES!!! I am praying for all of the cast and crew and everyone who watches. I was on the fence for years about my faith, would probably have been considered agnostic, and the scene with Mary of Magdala put me over the edge,,, so moving and so eye-opening as to how much Jesus loves us. There were many more scenes after that that just reinforced my new found faith, including the scene when Veronica touched his garment... cried like a baby! Between my small group Bible study, attending church regularly, serving within my church, and every episode of this show, my faith is strong and getting stronger everyday. I look forward to Season 4 and will contribute again to this effort... I am guessing I am not the only one that this has happened to. May God Bless you all!

In today’s climate, people are sick to death of pride and going after the kids. (Think Bud Light and Target). Your crew members may be great but they did you no favor with this issue.
I see both sides, and will continue to support because the show is great. Just a little disappointed that the actors lashed out at us, it’s an ugly look. Praying for you and your team

The PRIDE stands for, "I will NOT give up my debauchery". It is a middle finger, in the face, defiance; it is an attack which will stop that beautiful flow of the Holy Spirit Power so evident in The Chosen. I have seen two great moves of the Holy Spirit squashed in this way - both allowed the infiltrators in under the guise of acceptance, and loving on the sinner.

I asked Dallas numerous times in these comments whether he witnessed to the cameraman while condoning his sin-pride flag. Any guesses as to why he won't answer? I'm pretty sure I know why. Dallas is under the mistaken believe, as are so many fans of The Chosen, that Jesus is all about the love but not about condemning sinful behavior.
'He ate with them' is what they all say over and over. Yes, Jesus ate with sinners, but one thing he did not do was allow them to plant their sin flag in the temple or continue in their sin without being warned of the coming judgement.

Every episode moves me. Thank you for what you are doing.
I've loved every episode of the Chosen. Even as a seasoned Christian, it has spoken to me in a fresh, new way. I've watched each episode multiple times. I see the series as a new way of God reaching the masses as we live in the "final days." I know several people who are against the series, so I would like to see the questions answered in this clip edited down to a video with just the questions and Dallas answering them. With less time commitment, maybe some of the critics would take time to hear you out.

He will never do that. With every controversy, he has played the victim. Plus, he put up the real on his Instagram basically scolding Christian saying we need to do better and was being quite toxic. Christians will never be receptive towards that at all. He called us toxic when it was the cast and crew coming after Christians who are simply asking questions and not being ok with the flag attacking us. They called thouse of us who were not OK with the flag homophobic. Those who have walked away are done and won’t be coming back no matter what Dallas does. Despite popular opinion, Christens ever want to be critics of Dallas or the show. Many were very excited and eager to see the show be successful. As the saying goes never bite the hand that feeds you.

Time stamp 38 minutes: Dallas asked if we would work hard for an organization that is diametrically opposed to our values and beliefs, we do. Many of us have to sit through things that go against what we believe and have to hold our tongue when sin is celebrated. There is nothing new in that.
As Christians, we might, if only to be a light in their darkness, but many unbelievers likely wouldn't be nearly as willing.

Scripture is sufficient and as enjoyed as faith based stuff is, it's not anyone's calling or burden to finance it or like it or not critique a bible based Jesus put out to the world.
It also wasn't anyone's call to hire non believers or work x hours for his personal vision. The whole bubble mentality toward a struggling world of people not in their economic class or a Christian company is clueless at best and persecution / saviour complex at worst.
I had to show it to my husband who worked from 9 years old so his body is broken at 68_ I pondered it while using a chain saw to cut a tree off my outbuilding and then pull my weary bones back to a house that would probably fit in his kitchen that needs repairs. Snort.
I'm fine with the same gospel and bible that saved for 2000 years. With Jesus who is the gospel _ I am not moaning and complaining when I witness that he is good and faithful in all my circumstances. I had watched all seasons _ and yet Dallas response here and other places_ made me a bit sick . My spirit felt the actual motivated dark spirit and manipulation with the gaslighting.
I expect his past Hollywood failure, is soothed by the fans getting him to tv. But I also expect that martyr complex to persist. I'll try not be burdened by their greater sacrifices when I'm listening to the bible and hoeing in my garden for the food that gets me and the family through winter. I hope he gets his Hollywood success and all the accolades and wealth the world holds. Truly. May he be surrounded by a diverse family and many friends. Champions and armies to buffer him. May all his self glory match that of his cast.
Jesus is free. Salvation is free. And the bible is free everywhere for those who come seeking truth. In struggle, poverty, dysfunction, rejection, weariness and want. His love is eternal. His kingdom and your future there is glorious. I thirst and he gives me water_ I hunger and his word feeds me. My bones ache, and he comforts me with love, and joy in his truth. I sleep and dream of his glory and kingship when my strength will never fail. Where his word is spoken, light lifts me up. Free, and redeemed_ because of his finished work. May God be glorified on that coronation day in the most wretched and humblest of his children who have nothing but praise of him to offer.
It's beautiful how close the casts and crew are, the love, the feeling of belonging, is so special. That's God's grace. With all the differences and the fact that they don't believe the same thing... it's a joy to see. Dallas, thank you for showing/demonstrating God's grace and creating a culture like this. This is what Christians should do. The unbelievers who WON"T be convinced by our words, will see the good work we do and give the glory to God!! Keep up the good work!
