  • in this video I made a easy maintenance, forest style terrarium rain garden in a glass tank.
    the main concept of this project is to bring nature home in smaller scales.
    having such miniature landscapes not only add beauty to your living scapes, also the visual effects like natural light or FLOWING water, help reduces stress levels and improve moods.
    Dimensions of tank is L×34 W×34 H×47 cm

    I made myself a similar rainforest inspired by you and it’s amazing but this time apart from other developments in pump set up which is good I believe it became too much artificial like using plastics and what should I say not natural anymore. If water's not coming out, make your drip trays hole larger, cut 1.5 or 2 mm cotton cord in 2 CM and insert it in each holes, glue the one end on drip tray, water will fall like rain. Cotton cord should be 1mm thinner than the size of your drip trays hole

    Interesting. I see you upgraded your design, much better this way. I think I would use thicker aquarium foam and mesh in front of the pump chimney (like biotope gallery) because I think clogging might become an issue like this. On top I would make less small holes and one bigger hole so I could create a waterfall beneath the big hole with some stones and wood. Nice inspiration, thank you :)

    Is it okay to add more ingredients in soil substrate like Charcoal, dried sphagnum, red so and river sand?

    • @langdiy
      @langdiy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can add sphagnum moss, and red soil, I'll not recommend charcoal and river sand in rain terrariums

    How do you control the pump not being burned down while the water level is dropping?

    • @langdiy
      @langdiy  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I maintain the water level. I add more water When level drops. Pump will make a weird sound when water levels dropping

    • @langdiy
      @langdiy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I bought it from a local gardening stores. If you can't find drain cell, you can also use expanding spray foam like I did in my recent video.
