@@CarterRY Only downside with thrust is that the monsters give themselves back to you after they flip, so you're usually gonna be setting stuff, but that's probably still solid

it's wild to me that konami thought flip monsters also needed their effects to resolve in the main phase only
It’s probably to help remove any damage step confusion entirely since the monsters change control when flipped.

@@jofx4051 When you attack a face-down monster it is then flip summoned. That's why all non-flip monsters have "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned:" instead of "If this card is Summoned:". Back in DM yugioh you would be activating flip effects like Penguin Soldier or Man Eater Bug during the BP.
Edit: I meant to say its Flip effect is activated, which is essentially the same thing though as flip effects activate on destruction.
Thats not true. It doesmt flip summon. Flip summoning is specifically manually switching a monster from face down to face up attack position @leeeyles1864

Yeah, me too. We have 2 Mimighouls featured in the Spell Cards that have no monster card form.
these games are so frustrating because there's genuinely cool decks like mimighoul but you have to go against these decks that put up 2020 era 8 layered interaction boards while also getting free follow-up from grave on top of searching more follow-up on your turn

I feel like it’s hard to feel truly excited for cool, unique non-competitive archetypes anymore because of just how much they struggle to even dent the top decks. At least before it felt like these kinds of decks could turn out rogue tier but now you need to have a boringly efficient playstyle to get anything done.
It's crazy how the whole archetype tiptoed around making pot of the forbidden playable.

This is the first TCG deck in awhile that I actually think is cool and interesting
Not necessarily a huge meta threat or anything, but definitely a minor step up from Ashened, and their next wave could definitely have potential if we're lucky

Prediction Princess is fantastic for this deck, it means you can forcebly flip the Mimighouls they control basically on command, currently uaing them in my Subterror deck but i guess i gotta find a new engine for Su terror now 😅.
I don't think kooler understood that instant was considered as a fusion summon. Cause a lot of effects there he chose to not use otherwise
No i think he just realised after he summoned master of ham the first time that it doesn't work in this deck. You never want to set the monsters on your side of the field.

1 copy of Guard Dog is worth it imo because you pretty much auto-win if they randomly pick it to set to their field
Jesse made a locals video where he uses Mature Chronicle as an extender so a lot of people are magically changing their view on the card. wild how all it takes is a good player to use a card for people to think about trying it too.
That's the ideal use for it. Most people just didn't use it properly and used it to search super poly and, consequently, play hard into nib. But there's also the biggest issue: You're only searching mature chronicle when you open everything. There's no way in hell that you're searching mature chronicle over nightmare pain or eternal favorite.
@@solidsneaks6656 it only hard played into nib pre phantom. Also mature chronicle is a better search than Eternal. You don't search it off spirit most of the time. It's with pain if you already have squirmer which isn't hard. Technically 7 copies of squirmer in the deck.

@@gizmeksandsushi2304 it was a lot more common for people to run 1 when Phantom nighmare support came. people dropped it after legacy of destruction saying it was too gimmicky. they were focusing too much on the search super poly effect when it has 3 other good effects. the only bad one is the banish from deck.

It has been meta a lot, it's great for a lot of reasons and honestly kinda deserves a ban imo. Look at older formats with Norden, at worst it's a free extender, but the potential upside? Insane value
5:10 the vernusylphs are effectively the same, they likely also play one other one like forest or the bear, but this way they get follow up and I don’t think there’s a good send for forest

Still can’t prosp doesn’t matter how you draw, example being you can’t dark bribe your opponents prosp
@@mdrhodesygo9788 you should be able to dark bribe prosp, but you wouldn't be able to dark bribe anything afterwards due to the resolution of prosperity preventing drawing from card effects
@@burneveryabc you can’t dark bribe it. The activation has already happened, the effect hasn’t resolved yet. And the lock is on activation
@@Jhawk2711 this is incorrect because Dark Bribe negates the "activation" so Prosp "never happened". Same applies to Branded Fusion and summoning non-Fusions. You confuse this with Blossom that negates the "effect" thus successfully activating and applying the restriction.
Also about this case here, Prosp doesn't say that you have to draw by your own effect, but draw in general so the lock applies. Also if you Dark Bribe a Prosp and the opponent has another, they can't activate it unlike cases such as Solemn Judgment negating Prosp that would make a 2nd attempt at activating it legal.
@@babrad In terms of dark bribe vs prosperity, the game will look at whether or not your opponent can draw at the time of activation. Since Prosp locks you as SOON as it is activated, you cannot chain Dark Bribe because the opponent cannot draw at that moment.

@@LordHeishin As a doctor, i have diagnosed you are still on Stage 1 of cannotreadosis that plagues YGO players. The earliest symptom is misreading cards instead of not reading them at all, so there is still hope. You need to read PSCT once daily, then for the hard part, you need to read 1 Pendulum card every week (Endymion is a good example). I know the latter part has excruciating pain, but after 3 weeks you'll be cured entirely.
If you are willing to commit to a faster treatment, you can play Flower Cardian FTK. No official records of surviving patients exist for it, but rumor has it if you endure 1 successful FTK line you'll never have to read again for the rest of your life.
Everyone saying mimighoul is just ghost tricks 😍 ghost tricks although not really good was my all time favorite deck out of every deck out there so if this deck is like ghost trick I’m dropping all my other decks to build this 😂💯
i loved ghostricks, never liked the pure build but i used to play traptrix ghostricks back in 2014 and the deck was SICK

This replay is cool and all but these cards are not officially out yet (only leaked). They know your name/cossy id so I would STRONGLY advise not showing these cards. Other people have been banned from the game for showing leaked cards. I dont want to miss out on the DBG YCS win in the future :/

I believe it's a missed opportunity to not have the Mimighoul monsters being mandatory on activation and giving the "owner" a search just like Tachyon Primal does, so that we could utilize giving said cards to the opponent enabling both our TTTs. Also using "if this card is summoned" instead to chainblock themselves would have been hilarious.
I know it sounds broken, but we are talking about FLIP monsters in 2024.
They are mandatory activations? If you give and then flip over dragon on your turn, that activates and talents is live.

You could give the opponent the monster in faceup defense, make them search the card for you while enabling your TTTs. Then you flip them facedown, and during next main phase flip them up to get both the Flip and the "summon" effect.
