It is so cool to see you out there living your best life. Love the pink, it definitely makes a statement. Why have a boat that blends in with the others?
I'm pretty sure I know more about narrowboats, canals, locks, raising bridges, various engines, clearing props, building canals, hauling coal and fuel, and steel boat maintenance than any other fellow in Round Rock, Texas. Thanks.
Ah! At last, the sound of 'PARP!' is heard, once more, on the canal system! I have really missed your cheese sandwiches, David. Congratulations to Lorna and her delightful pink creation. Thank you for a lovely outing, both of you!
@@CruisingTheCut Nice boat and brand new! Question, what could you do to quite down the powerplant a little? Is it the motor mounts, engine box, muffler system, or the design? Thanks, asking for a friend.
She's got herself a cute little pink boat there. I loved her decore of the pink flamingos too. She's made it her own & all & I think it brings out her fun side of things. You do you girl. One fantastic little boat & people can't get it mixed up when you give someone directions to get to your boat either. You tell them that your in their area & tell them to take the foot path by the train station, just a metaphor, & your the pink boat on the right... lol... Such a fun little boat. Would love to have one too. So happy for you. May you enjoy every bit of your little boat.
This was a fun change to watch. I wish our canal along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania, USA, was dredged to accommodate long boats. What a pretty little boat Lorna has.
Oh my, David AND Lorna, they're back again on our screens. Just how privileged are we viewers, the King and Queen of canal-dom! Lorna, that boat is simply gorgeous, and the colour is so very you. Could not imagine a more perfect boat for your canal adventures. Hope you get the weed hatch and propellor problems fixed so you can go back out and cruise.
Honestly, you have some of the best and wittiest narration. Lovely day out on the pink Beetle, Foxglove. I'd have pink myself now, but I guess I'd have to go for foxglove purple instead.
That little Foxglove is just about the cutest boat ever!! Good to see you and the Missus out taking in the glorious British summer together in high style! I am not jealous. Nope. Not one bit! 💖
I do like the blue bits as well - it's sort of Kath Kidston scheme, and I mean that as a compliment to Lorna's colour choices, as I really like them. I hope the snagging list gets shorter very quickly, and Lorna has many happy miles, hours, and memories on this lovely little boat.
Delightful episode, happy to see you back on the canals, and to be invited. When you said “lunch” I immediately thought “cheese sandwich“ and I was not wrong. LOL.☮️
It's lovely that a narrowboat can impart the personality of its owner! Very very cool new boat. Hope the wee glitches get sorted soon. Nice outing indeed!
I would love to see a tour of one of those Springer narrowboats. The internet says the smallest model was the 20' (23'?) "Water Bug". Adorable. The brochure says it slept 4 and had an outboard! That's very interesting. Looks absolutely ideal for a small family boat.
Apologies David but just started watching your videos on Prime! Loving your work and very much encouraging me to one day hopefully join the cut! Thank you so much for your very concise walk through on how to start!! Looking forward to learning about pit falls. Thank you!
Glad you're enjoying it. If you reach the end on Prime, the crossover point with YT is approx vlog 201 (and everything from 2020 onwards is YT only). Cheers!
oh the mini narrow boats are my favourite and how generous of you to feature your friends pretty pink boat to encourage viewers to her channel . This was so delightful , enjoyed your humour too 😆please more mini boats
So nice to see you both again on the water. Lorna, what a great looking boat you’ve got. You seem really pleased with it. So happy for you! Another great video David, thank you for sharing this trip with us all.
Duh! I didn't get the 'glove' reference to begin with. I really must get a little hand for these glasses. Lol. Smashing video, thanks for sharing David and Lorna.
That was wonderful. Thank you. When you were a full-time "narrow boater" I watched every episode. I still do watch some of the videos on the van or this channel, but I was more interested in the narrowboat life. Sedate, elegant, moving at the speed of nature rather than the artificial speed of modern humankind. I am a sailboat person. And perhaps the closest you can come with a engine powered boat to the naturalness of a sailboat is with an Old World narrowboat.
What a lovely trip on this very charming narrow boat. I remember Lorna's first boat which had constant problems, so nice with this beautifully made new boat, its a lot less stress with its smaller size.
🤣 "Parp" that was hilarious I nearly choked on my cornett! And wow "Hello Stranger" ain't seen London boat girl in yonks!!! 👍🇬🇧🏴🇨🇮🏴🏳️🌈 This is all a bit "Tongue in cheek" 🤣😂 and I like it!
Lovely little narrowboat! I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your video a month or two ago; the SlowTV one. I have always wanted to see how the locks worked, but most folks cut that part out of their vidos, showing moving the gates perhaps, but never the whole process. I have never seen locks here in the US, though I know a few places have them, but i am fascinated by the narrowboats, and like the videos. By the bye, I purchased your book so I could read up on more narrowboating stuff! Thank you very much for sharing. :-)
And there was me expecting David to do a Charlie Allnut and plunge over the side to free up the propeller and return covered in leeches, African Queen style. Well, next time maybe?
You eat more cheese sandwiches than anyone I know. Mind you, we like what we like so carry on. Lovely little boat Lorna has and looks like you had a wonderful little trip.
I wish they would make more narrow boats in this colour pink it stands out and looks nice if I lived in a narrowboat that is the colour I think I would like
There used to be an advert that said that Manly in Sydney was '7 miles across the water from Sydney, but was a 1000 miles from your cares'........And i guess it would be the same on a day trip on a Narrowboat to anywhere. BTW great views, and seeing Mum and Dad swans with so many chicks made this overcast day in Sydney so much brighter.
I’ll never invite anyone else aboard. I’ve already peaked with you 💖
It is so cool to see you out there living your best life. Love the pink, it definitely makes a statement. Why have a boat that blends in with the others?
I love your little boat! I adore pink also, though I am male and it is apparently not allowed! Great to see you with your TH-cam hubby!
_cough_ 😂
Oh boy, careful what you say Lorna. You put a man up on a pedestal that tall he'll never get down. 😂😂😂
Right you are! You two are so cute together, it melts my heart!
I'm pretty sure I know more about narrowboats, canals, locks, raising bridges, various engines, clearing props, building canals, hauling coal and fuel, and steel boat maintenance than any other fellow in Round Rock, Texas. Thanks.
Same here in Ft Worth.
That’s all I want to do in the summer, away from the heat.
That will include St. Paul, Minnesota. I would do that instead of the cold we are gonna get here.
David and Lorna on the cut in a narrowboat again. The world is one step closer to back to normal! 👍😀
Ha ha
@@zonabrown9241 not yet sadly, but canal boat watching helps 😊
What a thrill to have a brand new boat!! Congratulations Lorna!
Two Lovely people on a lovely boat.
Now that's what I call a Saturday Morning treat.
Many thanks David and Lorna!
I agree wholeheartedly. X
Thanks for taking us along and congrats Lorna on your plucky pink craft.
Thank you, Lorna, for the ride along
Awww, Lorna has a pink Cadillac now… awesome. I hope she truly enjoys it.
Ah! At last, the sound of 'PARP!' is heard, once more, on the canal system! I have really missed your cheese sandwiches, David. Congratulations to Lorna and her delightful pink creation. Thank you for a lovely outing, both of you!
I should sell that "Parp" as a phone ringtone!

Aaahhh. Them good 'ol days revisited. It's so good to see you both on another gentle adventure.
I love the flowers on the windows! Such a cute boat.
Very good to you & Miss Lorna again!
Nice to see you on a narrowboat and my daughter would love that boat.
David, it's so weird hearing your voice and the narrowboat in the same place at the same time. It's a pleasure.
Oh my, David AND Lorna, they're back again on our screens. Just how privileged are we viewers, the King and Queen of canal-dom!

Proabably the best, and pinkest, narrowboat vlog ever!
Beautiful boat. Pretty in pink. Most enjoyable cruise. Thank for taking us with you. So happy for you Lorna.
If I lived across the pond this is what i would love to live in. The canal boats are just adorable
Now this is more like it canals, tea and cheese sandwiches!
Honestly, you have some of the best and wittiest narration. Lovely day out on the pink Beetle, Foxglove. I'd have pink myself now, but I guess I'd have to go for foxglove purple instead.
Damned loud for a new boat!!!
That's what I thought.
Man I do enjoy your videos! Thank you so much for making them still!
Glad you like them!
she has the best boat ever what a great colour
Oh Lorna has a lovely boat, and so very Lorna!
Having a dear friend is a blessing and a joy. 😊

Beautiful little boat for a beautiful friend of yours
Two lovely friends on a pink narrow boat going for canal boating this was so delightful , enjoyed your trip.
Yayy!! :) You can see the sparkle in David's eyes.
It’s an absolutely beautiful boat. I hope she’s very proud.
There’s nothing better than a coloured themed boat! 🚤💗
Lovely boat and the lady that owns her! Look forward to catching sight of her in everyone’s vlogs!
Lorna even has a flamingo tattoo. I love it, and the Fox Glove!
What a absolute dream of a boat❤

Thank you David and Lorna, another lovely little adventure :)
Really enjoyed watching that with my cup of coffee this morning :)
Glad to hear it!
Always nice to see Lorna. What a fabulous little boat, too!

It really was!

Hi! Lorna love pink. Best of travels.
The circular windows add to the boat's cuteness. :3
This boat looks like the perfect size for me 😊 I’m going to follow her channel
Early Sunday morning, read the scriptures and watched David and Lorna. Does it get any better.👍🙏🇦🇺
Great video David. I think Lorna's done a good thing with that boat & it's given her a new level of cool, if that makes sense.
lovely video.
Thank you 🤗

Wow Congratulations Lorna I wondered when we would see your new boat…….so pink😂 great fun love all the painting on glass door looks so pretty.
What a lovely boat Lorna. May you have many happy journeys in her, once you get the weeds off the propellor.
The scenery is lovely and despite the over-caste the adventure of boating the canals is tangible.
Congrats on the new boat!!!
You two are adorable!
The swan families this year are enormous - all seem to be 4+ round my way - quite the year!
Videos like this make the world a better place.
I saw Lorna’s video first a week ago. I thought yours should be out soon. I love her colors on her boat. So cute.
🤣 "Parp" that was hilarious I nearly choked on my cornett! And wow "Hello Stranger" ain't seen London boat girl in yonks!!! 👍🇬🇧🏴🇨🇮🏴🏳️🌈

Gorgeous little boat, Lorna has impeccable taste 😊
@lornajaneadventures I adore your boat😍!!
Ha! I guessed it was Lorna :) I think that bicycle is a Brompton. Very expensive, very nice. I've got one in my target hairs. Great video! Thank you.
