I'm laughing at the boats because the boats have all that power but the trolling speed that the Kayak gets is a way better speed and presentation to hook these fish. Good job as always Elias.
"That's a scary one" 😂 From a kayak they all look dangerous to me! I keep hoping you'll get into a big something on the troll, I've seen you do it before! Thanks Elias 👊
So many things could go severely bad very fast. But i love cuda,s. Ive seen them jump way over 10 feet out of the water. Great vid. Nice convict ! Thanks
@@buckets_of_lead top of the bay at the conowingo. I’ve been thinking bout planning a trip down there with my kayak, catch some perch or spot and live line them
Nice watching you catch those nice Cudas outta that little plastic boat!! I've caught a few myself off the So. California coast!! They really are fighting fish! Enjoy watching your videos, God Bless and paddle safe! ✌
OH THANK GOD....i was praying you'd keep that sheep. Mangroves just started showing up at the Navarre beach pier but been no sheepshead for a few months.. Man I'd love to fish that spot.
Didn’t know mangroves were migratory in Navarre. I caught some juvenile ones in my cast net last year here in NC. The offshore guys catch them occasionally.
I would love to try ocean fishing in a kayak, but the Oregon Coast is just too turbulent, cold and unpredictable. I applaud your courage; those Barracuda are no joke.
I live an 2 hours from AB and Beaufort. I just purchased a new lowrance elite fs 7 for my kayak so I can go fishing in the sound. Kinda ify on going out to the big water but I would go with someone experienced like you.
The Tug, about 3 to 4 miles off Wrightsville, I am very familiar with that area. Another 4 to 5 miles east, north east of there I had a nice King Mackerel spot but it has been many years since I fished that area. Great video.
It’s weird because the fishing started extremely strong this year! I was catching gators in the middle of May and then all the rain came and everything died down.
Cudas are fun. I used to such cudas off Long Beach or San Pedro in the summer months. Cuda are usy thr first real salt water fish and they are easy to catch when yiu hit the bait ball. I would toss a swim bait with 20-25 pound test line and retie the k ot after the 2nd catch. The cudas toothy dentures can snip mono line quick but using a wire leader kills the action.
It's amazing that a lure can be so specific. Anything tube like... guaranteed cuda. It's insane nothing else bites it but a cuda!!! Not that you can't catch anything else but you know to mean.
Really like your vids, especially the jetty/dock stuff. interesting that you use bluefish for bait, i know some people use them over here in aus but for a lot of us they're human food!! great action keep them coming.
I caught a barracuda like 3 times the size of that one but the fight wasn’t as intense because I was using swordfish gear so I reeled him in like in 5 minutes. Still fun

Cudas have seriously injured a few fisher folk over the years and one that size launching into your kayak could and prob would be quite a bad experience!
Hey first off u vids are great i watch everyday. Over n over the sheapshead vids. Im finally going to try it myself in oc md. I have a ? Im when using calico crabs/ whitecrabs do i use them whole or quarter them??
That jump was insane! Those cuda look like so much fun. Great video as always
10:30 holy crap! You'd straight up get a concussion from that flying fish. And the run right after was super satisfying to hear
I'm laughing at the boats because the boats have all that power but the trolling speed that the Kayak gets is a way better speed and presentation to hook these fish. Good job as always Elias.
Yeah it’s fun on the yak but the boats can troll for far greater miles and work multiple rods way better for kings. It’s absolute work from a kayak.
@@EliasVFishing yes for sure they can cover more water on the boat but if you get on them its a whole lotta fun on the yak.
"That's a scary one" 😂 From a kayak they all look dangerous to me!
I keep hoping you'll get into a big something on the troll, I've seen you do it before! Thanks Elias 👊
You don’t waste any time with an intro I love it you just get strait into fishing subscribing with bell notifications turned on
I like the fact that you eat a lot of what you catch. I think that is half the experience, cleaning and preparing your own food.
So many things could go severely bad very fast. But i love cuda,s. Ive seen them jump way over 10 feet out of the water. Great vid. Nice convict ! Thanks
That ‘cuda was a fighter geez!!! I love when the reels start screaming music to my ears
Striper season opened back up in the Chesapeake so I’ve been doing a lot of that.
What are of the Chesapeake do you fish? I'm usually around the rt50 bay Bridge.
@@buckets_of_lead top of the bay at the conowingo. I’ve been thinking bout planning a trip down there with my kayak, catch some perch or spot and live line them
@@Joeston it's rough on a kayak near the bay bridge. I've had trouble with boat traffic and it also tends to get pretty choppy past 9am.
@@buckets_of_lead 🤔hmmm I am pretty comfortable on my hobie, but might have to convince my friend to take a trip with his boat
Loved seeing you pull all those fish out around those other boats. Kayak FTW!
Awesome video! That was one hell of a jump at the 10:30 mark!
Great video, Elias! Excellent clip of the cuda jumping!! Thanks for sharing!
Got to love that Hobie Outback ! the offshore power is unbeatable!.
That Barracuda was the best leaper you've had on tape since the shallow water Blacktip nailed that Gulp Shrimp. Big fun.
You make it look so easy its wild because I know how hard you work for fish and how hard it is to land and hook fish.
action-packed, exciting It's a video 👍 Super. Congratulations, greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷
I really enjoyed this video never had sheep head before but that's a nice catch. watching that cuda jump...wow
Great video Elias….Cuda jump was spectacular….Kings jump like that also. 👍🏻
Those cuda are just insane, the one at 10:30 literally was flying😂
Spanish around here seem to be in that 35' water depth lately. Rain this week may change that, but thats been pretty consistent the past few trips
Nice watching you catch those nice Cudas outta that little plastic boat!! I've caught a few myself off the So. California coast!! They really are fighting fish! Enjoy watching your videos, God Bless and paddle safe! ✌

Bonito/False Albacore, Barracuda, and Jack Crevalle is the Waste Management Slam
That barracuda action was awesome!
That flying cuda was awesome....first time I saw it I thought it was a bird diving for your fish....LOL

I have only watched two of your videos and I already love this channel
Incredible pull makes the reel scream and the rod bends sharply
Thanks for sharing, great work as always
There’s nothing better than watching a kayaker kick a$$ in the fleet of boats. Great video dude‼️
Elias, you weren't slow, he was hooked in the throat. Nothing moving but porgies up here in the sound.

Paddles in on his canoe and kills it! Well done!..while everyone seems to be fishing for pinfish.
At first I thought jets were flying overhead, but it was just a 'cuda with afterburners lit. That sucker could fly!
Huge Barracuda ! Nice ! Great video ! New subscriber

I wish I didn't live 200 miles from the ocean 😭. I guess for now I'll just keep living vicariously through Elias
Killer day you had! Only caught maybe a 10-12 inch cuda before but it counts hahaha

That (second?) Barracuda was certainly impressive looking. A very long fish.
Nice flip flops! What are they?? Of yeah, nice cudas!
You Americans are so social, talking with each other out on the sea. We try not to even look at each other here in Sweden 😅

Nice video, try making ceviche with those Sheepshead bud!
Best way to keep them alive is to keep them wet, wet your hands as well. We use them on pin rigs on the pier

First real fights with a barracuda ive seen. Most people just yoink em out with way to heavy gear.
