I always love your Florida adventures! It helps me get through the winter freeze! It was fun watching you cull the herd to get the bigger ones!
I think the exploration part of fishing is better than the catching part. New places that you know nothing about are always exciting. Sure, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but look where you are and what you're getting to do! Even without one bite, you always win!
Can’t get enough of your videos when you visit Florida 🤙🏼
Great video, that gulp shrimp is killer….
Love the keys ….
Appreciate you putting in the work and sharing it. Well done
Jakpot besar bikin aku makin semangat tiap kali main di 𝗗𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗗0𝗥A!
Like your videos. I'm a caregiver now but I've fished the keys for 40 years. Try walking tge dog alond the bank. Big dogs in those mangroves
Yes and if anyone is lucky enough to snorkel in clear conditions there they will see what lurks around. Large sapper and grouper sporadically mixed with the small aggressive mangs surrounded by by shimmering bait schools.
@@jasonfulton77these fish will hit lures like a zman? Or more like shrimp?
@@PayoutProfessor Shrimp lures or anything resembling a Pilchard if using artificial. I personally cast net live Pilchards. Elias did good on his artificial presentation though.
@@jasonfulton77 yea that shrimp lure he’s using looks solid. I use dead shrimp here in south texas and get little drums, mangroves, and reds but no keeper..gonna try my luck with some lures inshore here soon💪🏽
@@PayoutProfessor Yeah a half of a shrimp on a jighead works great too but you will probably have to weed through a lot of grunts. I do miss Padre Island I might revisit there soon. My first cast there was an upper slot red.
LOL... I kept cleaning my glasses off. Nice vid. Appreciate it!
Nggak pernah gagal dapet jakpot besar di 𝗗𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗗0𝗥A, recommended!
This was a fun video to watch! Thanks Elias!
Enjoyed the 2024 videos Elias. Let's keep it up in 2025! Happy new year to you! 👍
my fuego started to seize up after a few trips in heavy rain. cleaned it extremely well with clean freshwater and dried it very thoroughly. it's been holding up like new the past 6 months after that. Best of luck man, tight lines!! 🎣
NICE SNAPPERS 💯 I DO LIKE THE LONG VIDEOS CAUSE IT'S REALITY FISHING 🎣🎣✌️✌️
Impressive fish on artificial! I highly recommend a kill spike for these fish that you keep. Makes handling them so much easier, relaxes the flesh for better quality, and also slightly more humane. Love watching your videos Elias! I have learned so much from you!
I can not believe you did not get more snook, nice video. As far as someone's comment, Snook fishing down here is like bass fishing, beat the structure. I try to find overhang and toss as far under the brush as possible but keep your distance. Sometimes I get them out a few feet out but they like it in tight. Earlier the better. I liken snook w walleye, dusk and dawn are best. Not to tell you anything, you can and always do teach us with your video's. I fished SW Florida for 11 years and NEVER had more than a 5 snook day. Now with the right bait and techniques I have had at least 3, 30 fish days. But that's years of pounding it then finding a few super spots. With the cold now I am basically throwing small profile senko type straight worms cut down to 4". Yum dingers and Ned rig looking stuff. Reds really like them to in cold. Light colors, no dark.
That Daiwa Fuego is a beauty, I'm so glad I have one in my arsenal.
I had a Regal, loved it but the salt got it even after rinsing after every use. I think any sub $100 Daiwa reel has lesser bearings that are not salt resistant. I have 2 Fuego's but fear they will seize also. I have 3 PROCYON AL reels and so far they all have stood up better than any composit body reel. Also have a Saltiest Back Bay that's rock solid.
@matthewmercer2477 sorry to hear about your Regal. I could be wrong, but I think the Fuego is magsealed and is thus more durable, that being said, magoil is also really expensive so when it comes to maintenance it could punch a hole in my wallet lol...
Have you tried the Revros? For a 40-50 USD Daiwa reel, I've read nothing but good things about it, even from saltwater anglers.
Slow day at the office, thanks for another great vid!
I have to say you left Ny at the perfect time and you’re living the dream
What peaceful day ❤. Serenity Now! From Ohio
Really clean fishing, quality mangs on artificial no easy task!
Rezeki hari ini datang tanpa henti, makasih banyak 𝗗𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗗0𝗥A!
WOW! Tremendous Mangrove Snapper hack on them Gulp Shrimps! Thanks to you, I just bought them Barefoot Jigs and good thing I still have 5 packs of the same Gulps! Yeah those Snappers are hard to get on jigs! I've only used fresh shrimp and ballyhoo for the big ones! Must be that Gulp scent the triggers them!
Awesome fishing session
Your sooo good with your under hand casting great video be safe
Sitting in the snow in Montreal, Canada and totally envious!
Love the Mangrove content and would be great in a catch and cook.
Good work as usual, thanks for the "update" lol. Been following you from NY down to Carolinas. Maybe you'll end up in FL for longer than a vacation....
Man, you should’ve kept a handful of those snapper. They are delicious.
I've always loved your keys videos but I also loved when you were in my neck of the woods and fished skyway you should give it another go I've caught a lot of black grouper there
Generally the bigger mangroves and goliaths are in deep undercut mangroves...snook spots. If any of those side channels attach to ponds, there are likely baby tarpon and possibly reds in those.
Wow great audio, that bail clicking over sounds so crisp..
Here ya go
Elias, you need to be casting up into the mangroves for snook and goliath grouper. Current + mangrove points = snook. Also snook like to hang around dead wood mangroves
Good to know one of these days I’ll figure it out.
That's what scares me about those small creeks, jet skis and bigger boats tearassing through there.
I kayak fished Bahia Honda today. Was hoping I would see you out there. I did see the youtuber Fishaholic in the keys today
I use those gulp crawdads they love um
Snook? Tarpon? I canoed the Tampa/Clearwater flats in a cedar strip canoe for 9 mos (before the sit on top pedal drive was invented) some scary moments,: Manatees in rut, dolphins breathing 5 ft behind me, sharks, mystery fish that took my pinfish like a school bus hijacked by a nascar driver.....afraid to go back! Do a cooking vid with the Snapper you kept?
Might you do a Rapala plug episode there in the mangrove channels.
Nice!
I would argue that the mid Atlantic terror is 8 inch Seabass😂
If your looking to catch a sailcat come down to texas and throw into the second gut on the surf with some cut bait. I'd love to see a florida surf fishing video before you leave
When you're casting into waterside foliage, you have to be within a couple of inches of being snagged,or you're missing the fish that are lying still in the deeper shade, you'll only be casting to patrolling fish.
This - This - This!!!
Great stuff Elias nice to see a bit sunshine to mate.god i miss the keys..😊
just casual mangrove snappers living in mangroves!
Do not enquire about the lack of pest fish, THEY'LL HEAR YOU !!
Wow, the wind is blowing. I can hear it on segments of your video. As a fellow NYer ( i spent most of my adult life fishing eastern LI) I do enjoy your self depricating comments. That said, IMHO, you are the antithesis of a "googan".
Great video I do have a question do you have to register your kayak due to the electric motor on it?
I got snagged just watching this
Impressive how selective you are with what you keep. Definitely a few nice ones that got to live.
I bet if you took that reel apart clean out all old grease add new the reel would be back in business, try it !
How does the Gulp compare to live shrimp?
i think gulp/berkley just have the optimised scent.
Hey, always liked your videos. Just curious of your opinion on how the unedited long vids you have been posting have been working out. I have a youtube channel out of nj (South Jersey Yak Fishing) and have thought about doing the same thing but had been afraid to try till I saw you doing it. The way I edit my vids now is extremely time consuming. I think they turn out good, but if raw, unedited vids do well too, it would save some time. Has it helped or hurt your channel? Would appreciate your feedback, thanks!😊
Nice fish man, I'm interested in the Daiwa Fuego you have. do you think a 2500 will hold up to bluefish and flounder up north?
It’ll do ok on flounder. Don’t know how long it’ll survive big blues
@@EliasVFishing thanks man
Yo Bryce Harper nice video
Is that the old Fuego or new 23 Fuego?
Pennekamp?
May i ask which mangrove channel this is? I rather like catch and releasing the little snapper and grunt and "bothersome" fish.
The mangroves...u can get beats or ham n egg mangs all day. Mangs are delicious tho
Take that reel soak it in marvel mystery oil for two days that thing will be good at new will last another year no problem
Good mang snapper to be caught in there live shrimp always works good
Does that finder have a forward or sideways option, or does that require a seperate transducer?
Separate stuff. Basic 2d sonar here
Bro. Wipe the lens after every fish. Just saying. Love your videos
𝗗𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗗0𝗥A menawarkan pengalaman daring yang berbeda.
where is this location for the back waters i tried to find it on google maps no luck
It looks a lot like Pennekamp state park yet there are a lot of nice canals in Big Pine Key especially on the gulf side.
@@jasonfulton77 thank yu kind sir
Mewuk behootie potjak gagel duenum spooni. I really think you know exactly what I mean. Ook ook ka chook.
