As someone who has a Ricoma 15 needle, I love your comment of "I will never get tired of watching the stich come out, I feel you ! Great Video and thanks for sharing !!
I am “new-new” to machine embroidery (I do sew a little)and had no interest until I bought a Brother PE770 from a thrift store for $250-and instantly fell in love lol. I just recently found your channel. Great videos that are easy to follow. I am not usually a fan of TH-cam bc I’m hearing impaired and it’s extremely hard to read captions and watch (lots of rewinding), but I find your vids informative. The one for new embroiders was great!
Just ordered the Brother SE 400 because of all of your HOW TO videos. I can't wait to get started. I will be contacting you for help. You are a great teacher. Now I can tell my family and friends I have started a new class at TH-cam University, 105 Brother SE 400, instructor, Ms. Baby Booty. Take care and will start classes when I get my Brother SE 400
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO'S! Your do so well in explaining everything and THANK YOU for not always using a very expensive machine to show us how to do your projects. You are easy to follow and that makes this hobby so enjoyable.
You are so talented and I am extremely excited I found your channel!! Thanks every so much and I can't wait to get started using my machine (that I have had for 6 years)!
This was a great intro to puff embroidery for me. I have a patch business and there’s a particular design i’ve wanted to be puffy for some time. It’s a letterman themed patch and the puff will really make it pop. Now I just need to watch a video on how to digitize for puff embroidery. Thank you!!!
Thank you So much for these videos. My mom and I were going to start a business together. I was going to handle all the printing (I have a Brother GTX printer) and she was going to do all the embroidering. Unfortunately just as we're starting to get things going, she passed away. Her cousin was trying to tell me it would take me too long to try to learn her embroidering machines. Two Brothers a 650 and a 655. So she wanted me to sell her my mother's machines and then pay her when I need hats and other embroidering work. Well instead I got on TH-cam, found your channel and watched a few videos. Ok I did mess up the first two hats. But I rewatched the video on loading the hats and after that I was MAKING HATS!!!! From clicking on the first video to making my first hat was less than an hour and a half. I don't think that's too long, lol. Can't wait to pickup some foam tomorrow and start making puff hats. I'm keeping my machines and going forward with the business. Once again Thank You, Thank You So Much. And God Bless!
ANOTHER awesome detailed video. I can't stop watching your channel AND sharing it. You know your stuff!!! Not only with your embroidery knowledge but with your videos as well. I've attended classes on in the hoop designs as well as puff embroidery and I didn't get half of the knowledge that I gained from your video. Keep them coming!!!! You are an amazing woman.
Awesome job with the multi-needle. We have our first hat job we're doing tomorrow so I was doing "TH-cam University" LOL tonight to see how it's done. Thank you! Awesome tutorial!
Beautiful. I just attended a class and they did puff embroidery you can use a hairdryer over the parts that peek through and it will set it. Do not use a heat gun. It will melt it. Let me know how it worked for you.
Thank you for show us how to do “puff embroidery”. Can yo do the “puff” first to hid the little bits of foam showing and then do the outline thread/threads? Did you change the density? I did and the “puff” area was same as my outer two thread colors.
I did not change the density of the stitches. The puff embroidery is digitized to make up for the added foam. When I do the embroidery, I usually just follow the digitizer's stitch out which is why I did the outline first. if you are using a puff design that was specifically made for puff embroidery, then the foam may not have been dense enough. try two layers of foam.
Hi Eve can I do this with the brother persona 100? I couldn’t find the name of the puff stitch on that machine thanks , love luv love your videos 🙌 thank you they are so informative 👍🏽
Thank you for the inspiration and information!! I did not read through all the comments and questions so if this was asked I apologize. I am new to embroidery but was wondering when you changed your thread colors it didn't look like you changed bobbin colors. Do you not have to for the puff part? Thank you again. Loving all the tutorials!
First off, you are certainly welcome! I’m also happy that you’re “Loving all the tutorials!” Now, it isn’t necessary to change the bobbin unless you are doing freestanding lace or a double sided item. Hope that helps!
Love your video's. Watching you use this machine. Love the puff embroidery! Trying to decide which machine is the easiest to use for a newbie. Do you have any suggestions?
It depends on your budget and what your ultimate goal is. If your budget is 1k or less I would suggest a Brother pe770. If you are trying to build a business and are able to finance, there are several options I would suggest and we will discuss those shortly!
No sir, but you wouldn't install the fonts directly to the machine. You want to get your design together outside of the machine then import the completed design to stitch out.
Hi Eve awesome tutorial. Will washing cause some issues with the foam? Do you use a design ready for foam or could I use any design to get puffed results.
Hey I loved this Video I have A Question the 4 X 4 embroidery Machine you using is there a option to make your Fill the puffing areas... Cuz I have a Brother SE 625 and I try the Technique you show like the Video with the Teddy bear and Balloon and mines didn't work have any suggestions
wow this is great! I really love watching your videos. BTW, do you have any tips on how to embroider the back side of a baseball cap on the single needle embroidery machine (ie PE-800, SE-1900)? Would be great if you have a video. Thanks!
Wooo! Prayer and a steady hand! 😄 try to get the area as flat as you can and by all means! Avoid any bulky areas (two layers of hat or the strap that's stitched in place) only stitch on the single layer section even if it means unfolding the hat cuff out of the way.
Hi Eve, just had a chance to look at this video, been very busy but anyhoo lol , you go miss thang, I love it, you have that hat cliliyder down, I want to learn how to use mines and how to put it on the machine. Great video thank you 😁
Hello ma'am I make custom fitted hats through Lids hat store. My question is have you had issues using foam with metallic thread? Do you have any suggestions on making this less of an issue?
Metallic thread works best with a topstitch or metallic needle. Those needles have a larger eye than regular needles. That SHOULD help, but be sure you have a good quality metallic thread as well. I haven't used metallic on puff, but I can imagine it would break a lot easier than with regular embroidery.
Thank you for the response. I just wish I could get the stores to understand that if they're going to offer the services and the thread options they have they should utilize a metallic needle. I've been told this before but I wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Thank you again, have a great day.
love your videos.... I was looking for generic instructions on how to digitize, say lettering for 3-D puff. I have an auto digitizing program Sew Art that I can create embroideries from shapes, images, or hand drawings. any suggestions would be appreciated. ;)
Debbie R, Sew Art is an awesome little program that allows you to digitize embroidery designs! I don't instruct on it, as I am fairly new to digitizing. Check out Clever Dog Designs on TH-cam for some really great Sew Art videos. 👍🏽
You can do hats on a regular machine, and there is an aftermarket hat hoop that helps hold the hats in place. There is a link to my Amazon store in the description of the video.
I have a question, im thinking in getting a basic embroidery machine just for personal use but: I have a question, do the designs are pre set already or could we make a new on in the computer and upload it in the machine? Or how does that work?
As someone who has a Ricoma 15 needle, I love your comment of "I will never get tired of watching the stich come out, I feel you ! Great Video and thanks for sharing !!

I loved this video! I had no idea that puff embroidery was something I can do, until watching! You make it look so easy, thanks!
It is easy! You just have to find a design that supports the foam and There you'll have it!
What a good instructor ... She is such a likable person and that makes the video more interesting
+xtreme sports & lifestyle 😊😊😊 Thank you very much! I definitely appreciate your feedback. 👍🏽
I have to run 300 hats like this on a single head over the next couple weeks so this was my refresher course. Thanks!
You got this! Congrats on the order!

You are very welcome! Not everyone can afford the big dogs.
You are so talented and I am extremely excited I found your channel!! Thanks every so much and I can't wait to get started using my machine (that I have had for 6 years)!
This a wonderful and fun idea. Some told me that's seen for many decades, told it dulls the needle and felt. But hey it's too much fun ❣️🤗

Wow that bear looked VERY good with the puff layer put on... Cool vid Eve!!! You go!!!
You really answer our questions without being asked! Thanks again for another great video.
Nice job, Eve. Puff embroidery looks much easier than I expected.
Jody Green c
It isn't difficult at all. It starts with a well digitized puff font. Thanks for watching!
I enjoy watching your videos I learn so much thank you
You are so welcome
Great teaching job! I’m so glad I found your channel!!
Thank you kindly!

Thank you kindly MyMoRadio! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leave a comment!
Could you use felt for a softer puff & maybe it would wash more naturally? Thanks for great technique & teaching skills.

Awesome job with the multi-needle. We have our first hat job we're doing tomorrow so I was doing "TH-cam University" LOL tonight to see how it's done. Thank you! Awesome tutorial!
So neat! I could watch embroidery all day! :)
Oh wow ! I'm so thankful I found your channel !! I have the SE400, and did not know my machine would do all the things you show on your channel! !
Yes! The SE400 is a very versatile little machine! I love it!
I absolutely loved this video! Silly question for a newbie with this…. After using the 4x4 how do you apply it to a hat??
You are awesome! I gain so much knowledge from you. Thank you.
Thank you for this embroidery tutorial! I've always wondered how to do those embroidery designs with dimensional stitching!
+Andrea Simeral-Boyer You are welcome! Have fun with them and let me know if you have any other questions😊
Really works up nice and so easy to remove excess foam...thanks
You are a great teacher. Thank you. I look forward to more of your videos.
Thanks Eve, I'm sure I watched when you first did this tutorial. The more experience I get, the more I enjoy it.
How beautiful! Thanks for video.
Great video sista!!
Beautiful. I just attended a class and they did puff embroidery you can use a hairdryer over the parts that peek through and it will set it. Do not use a heat gun. It will melt it.
Let me know how it worked for you.
+sharon blake Saweeeeeet! I think the heat gun was for that super thick commercial foam. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for the info!
Thank you. I bought the Dollar Tree Pack. They are small sheets, but if you just want to try it, it is a great buy. Again, great video.
+Flying Lady 76 Yes, I do suggest giving it a shot first. Then once the technique is set, then look into commercial embroidery foam.
+Flying Lady 76 Thank you! 😊❤
Your AMAZING!!!! I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!! THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!!
Thank you kindly Crystal! I appreciate your positive feedback ❤
Whaaaaaaaaaat that looks so cool!! Going to try this asap!!!! Thank you!!

Great video! I'm excited to be able to try this technique!
I'm loving your hat! Great video very informative. Thanks for sharing.
That hat did turn out cute didn't it?! 😊 Thank you!
Thank you for show us how to do “puff embroidery”. Can yo do the “puff” first to hid the little bits of foam showing and then do the outline thread/threads? Did you change the density? I did and the “puff” area was same as my outer two thread colors.

Hi, how do you make the machine stop between processes. Does it always allow you some time between the first color to be able to add the foam?
Great video. But I have a question can you possibly use the glitter foam sheets. I think it would be a cool idea if it would not hurt my machine
You can use the glitter foam sheets, but it will not show under the stitches. With puff embroidery, the stitches completely cover the foam.
Outstanding.
Hi Eve can I do this with the brother persona 100? I couldn’t find the name of the puff stitch on that machine thanks , love luv love your videos 🙌 thank you they are so informative 👍🏽
It's not in the machine it's in the software.
Thanks T Locks! Yes, Pelar the puff font is not on the machine. You can, however, purchase the font on my website. TheBabysBooty . Com.
Thank you for the inspiration and information!! I did not read through all the comments and questions so if this was asked I apologize. Thank you for sharing this video. I have been wanting to learn how to do the puff embroidery. Where did you get your machine (6 needle) ?
My machine came from a local Brother dealer here in Charlotte. Lee's Creative Sewing and Vacuum.
Thank you so much for showing this...
Great tutorial as always! Thanks for sharing
Hi There! Newbie question? Can I attempt this on a Brother PE 600? If so any suggestions or tips?
Thank you, This is the best tutorial I have seem. Can the item be wash.
Yes! Turn inside out, cold water, lay flat to dry. No heat.
Hi Eve awesome tutorial. Will washing cause some issues with the foam? Do you use a design ready for foam or could I use any design to get puffed results.
Awesomeness!!!!

Can I embroider a cap on a brother nq1600e?

It is all in the same file. The file is available for purchase on my website, thebabysbooty.com. Thanks for watching the video!

You can do hats on a regular machine, and there is an aftermarket hat hoop that helps hold the hats in place. There is a link to my Amazon store in the description of the video.
Loved this video. Where did you purchase the hat please?
Thank you for the informative video!
What a great tutorial. I bought some foam and couldn't remember why. Thank you so much.
You're welcome! Thank you for your feedback ❤
thank you Eve.
Can you do caps on this particular machine?
Hi can you show how you can create your own puff embroidery on a software? I have a hatch embroidery software and brother se400. Thank you
I have Hatch as well, but I am not skilled enough just yet to do tutorials on it. Hopefully in the near future. 🙂
The Baby's Booty Oh alright. Thank you
Love the hat! Cute great job as always
+kweunique Thank you! Hope to see you this evening @7! 😊👍🏽
what thread are you using on the single needle machine and where did you get the clip on the base that is holding the thread end.
billie boyd I use a thread brand called Madeira. It has a built in thread holder at the bottom.
I have a question, im thinking in getting a basic embroidery machine just for personal use but: I have a question, do the designs are pre set already or could we make a new on in the computer and upload it in the machine? Or how does that work?
Hi; Love yours videos, I have a question, have you use the janome mb4 cap hoop? What hoop size I select in the machine? Can you help me .. thanks
