    I have absolutely zero intentions of doing anything embroidery related anytime soon. Or anytime in the far off distant future for that matter. I just taught myself (with the help of someone's vids) how to use a sewing machine last week and just hemmed my first pair of pants a few days ago, for cryin out loud. Yet, I watched every single one of the 1,514 seconds of this video. That's what I call captivating your audience, well done sir. Respect!!!

    Oh, Lawd, now I have to figure out how to sneak an embroidery machine into the house without my husband noticing...I wasn't really too interested, but this is inspiring:)

    • @TockCustom

      lol, just throw a blanket over it and tell him it's a surprise for him... and then never give him anything! It's a brilliant strategy :)
      Thanks for watching, hope you have a great weekend!!

      Isn’t it ironic that hubby does not notice you have had haircut, cleaned house etc but try to sneak one thing in the house and he is a detective sniffing it out. Lol.

      I'm loving the video that you never hear the presenter say "I'm SO excited to tell you/show you . . ." And "Let's get into it," And "go ahead and . . . Then go ahead and . . .", Go ahead and," And " I'm going to . . ., Then I'm going to . . ., then I'm going to . . .".
      Eeeeeeeeeeeeed! For God's sake, take a class in presentation. Oh, yes, and drop "you guys." You aren't in the ghetto you know.

    • @grandmalovesmebest

      Not YOU, I'm just agreeing your vid is great and saying what I wish ppl wouldn't do. So many ppl picked up very poor speech patterns, along w not having a clue as to how to do a presentation.
      Thank you for giving your presentation some thought as opposed to rolling out of bed, apologizing for not being ready, telling us about your recent illness, apologizing for your camera not working, or droning on about your kids.😥

    This is the best beginner video ever! I love how you don't talk too fast and you speak clearly and loud enough for the mic to pick you up. Also like that you have yourself facing us in the camera, so we can actually see who is teaching! I have spent all day watching videos on how to do this just like you're showing, and literally, you are the only one who actually finishes the project! I mean all the way to cutting it out! Thank you for your efforts. One good tip to make border cleanup or residue less noticeable, is to use a base fabric of the same color as the border. You could also use acrylic paint in the same color as the border mixed with fabric paint applied to the edges after cutting to help not only to hide residue, but to seal edges. Liquid sealants could also help.😊 Thumb's up too.

    Sometimes the Thread wraps around the spoil itself, But it can be avoided by placing the felt first and then the spool. The thread will not break. Flawless!

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great idea. Typically the felt is used for when you do "Double Needle" stitching, which is fairly advanced, but if you can get it work on embroidery that's a huge bonus :)

    • @TockCustom
      @TockCustom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This machine can only embroider. It can make patches that are 5x7 inches, but you'll have to use another sewing machine to sew it on. For varsity style 'patches', most people cut those shapes out of felt or wool and applique' them on... perhaps I should make a video about that... Thanks for the idea!

    I've watch several patch videos and I still haven't seen what im looking for. How to make the patch. Meaning the round patch. The border the outline. How the machine know to put a satin stitch. Is it already in the image or u add it on. Its like everyone skips that part. I did notice you hit a button on the machine with the shapes...is that what I was missing?

    • @TockCustom

    Do you always use an embroidery bobbin thread? I use the same color bobbin thread as my top thread due to the fact that I can sometimes see the bobbin thread coming thru to the right side of the fabric in the embroidered area. I am definetly a novice when it comes to embroidering. Granted my machine is older. It's the Brother SE 350. I have had it for quite a few years. I try to keep it clean and use new embroidery needles when beginning a new project. It's also set up to embroidery only.
