    Thank you. Enough information for me to see where the tensioners and lock bolts are. Brief and to the point. Some of us understand that installation is simply the reverse of removal. Specs, yep, 1/4" is usually about right. Respect the bearings.

    Super helpful video, turns out my idler pulley was bad, luckily I found a new one floating around in the back. One thing to note since the video doesn't explicitly say to do or not do so, don't take the hinge bolt completely out of the power steering pump (the one that's accessed through the pully) for some reason I took it out and it was a huge PITA to get back in

    Just about ready to do mine again also! I don't mess around with worn belts and try to do them every couple of years. Also a good idea to replace your idler pulley (if you haven't already) with an oem one as they tend to wear out after 160k or so.
    Oh yeah, be sure to keep your old belts stashed in the truck somewhere, just in case your in the middle of nowhere and you have to do an emergency belt replacement to get ya home!
    Your trucks lookin good man! Keep up on that maintanece and it will run forever!

    • @azorianification
      @azorianification  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a great idea. I think I'll probably do that. The last thing I'd want to do is have one of these belts snap off when I'm out in the wilderness with no cell signal. haha 🍻 What manufacture do you usually go with OEM or ?

    • @yoboo6167
      @yoboo6167 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@azorianification Bando for the belts. They are just as thick as OEM but a fraction of the cost. Everything I have read on the idler pulley says to go OEM. The generic just don't last while an OEM should get you another 150k. I did mine about 6 months ago and it's been fine.
      And yeah! Being stuck in the woods over a simple belt fix would suck!

    I watched many videos trying to figure out the tensioners (I've been spoiled by the spring-loaded serpentine belts) and this was the only video that got to the point and was consistently helpful.
    One question, are those OEM Toyota windchimes in the background?

    • @azorianification

      No the wind chimes are aftermarket 😂 Glad you found the video helpful. Hopefully the wind chimes were stress relieving and not annoying. 😂😂🍻

    I cant seem to get the tension off the AC belt , the idler pulley is worn out and i decided to replace it along with all belts as well ! Ibe got the other broke loose but that ac belt just dont seem to be loosing! The bolt in the tensioner is screwed out over 5/8" and nothing has changed!

    Oreilly says the K040343 doesn't fit the taco, and recommends K040345. It's a difference of 1/8", though, so it's probably fine.

    Would have been a much better video if he actually showed where all of the bolts are on the pan under the engine. Also, he didn't show how to get to any of the tensioner bolts. Looks easy if you skip over all of the difficult parts.

      Sorry the video wasn’t as helpful to you. It’s really difficult to record each step of the process and with a job like this some of the bolts are almost impossible to see with a camera. I’m also the only one recording this as I’m replacing the belts so keep that in mind. I’ll keep your comments in the next time I create another how to video. 🍻
