Can agree that this set is beautiful and makes your kitchen really stand out. However, the beauty is only skin deep. The refrigerator is practically guaranteed to fail prematurely, and in spite of the optimism of the tech repair guys, it will never be permanently fixed and will continue to fail over and over and over again. speaking from experience, having just replaced our after five major repairs.
We bought them. They looked very nice in our kitchen! I REALLY wish they paid as much attention to quality as looks. I liked that they are made in the US. I really wish my first fridge worked on day one. I really wish my second lasted past a couple years! We still have the freezer, but worried about buying another fridge to go with it for 3600 or so when I know the quality is lacking.
After owning the Pro model since Summer 2021, I can say I love it. However, the smudge proof front panels do show fingerprints, despite what they say. We clean ours regularly to keep it looking good. The only issue we have with the fridge is on the back lower panel inside the fridge. Ours is starting to Rust, which is unacceptable at the price we paid. We are hoping warranty will fix it.
The new Professional fridge/freezer is great. I have one problem with the new fridge when placed with trim in cabinetry and replacing the old model. 1. The existing trim does not fit the new fridge (8WF3). 2. New trim has to be purchased for over $700 and the old trim thrown out. (why would Fridgidaire have customers incur this additional costs?). 3. where you have the matching freezer also installled in the same kitchen with trim etc, I would now have to replace the trim on the freezer too? Both appliances need to match, right? Wait! I would now have to replace the working freezer too as the new trim will not fit the old freezer? Why would Fridgidaire replace and upgrade these appliances without thinking about folks who already have both installed and to replace one, would muck up everything. To replace the non-working fridge, I have to buy new trim for $800 + New trim for the existing working freezer for $800 and the new freezer for over $4,000 too. One appliance goes on the blink and it would cost over $10,000 to have one's kitchen back to its original look. Or does Fridgidaire want us to put in new cabinets for over $25K to fit the new Professional fridge?
Frigidaire doesn't care about their customers. They changed handles and bolt patterns so when our freezer part went out, I had to buy a new set instead of just a new freezer. I thought I could just replace the handle to match the old fridge. Doesn't surprise me they'd change the trim. These aren't professional models, they look high end, but that's about it. Get a Sub-Zero or a Bosch.
@@uwone7778 It's unfortunate, because we looked at the high end built-in's and they really aren't that big inside. We wanted a built-in set when we remodeled our kitchen in 2019, but couldn't see the sense of spending $20k for the same space as the fridge we already had, all we were doing was trading depth for width and getting the higher end look. We ultimately went with the Frigidaire set because of how functional and spacious it was, and figured since they have always had a good reputation it was a great option that saved a ton of money and happened to look fantastic. But boy that decision proved to be a bid mistake. Even more disappointing is the fact they have a HUGE failure rate and don't seem to care about updating the parts to last. The high-end brands don't have great repair records, either, though, so I don't know what the solution is. Seems everything being made these days is designed to fail.
Nice fridge but be prepared to replace in 4-8 years when it rusts out and fails. Also if they do what they did in the past you will not be able to just replace the fridge but rather you will have to replace both as they think it’s fun to change the size on you so you can’t just replace one unit.
Frigidaire and Electolux (the same thing) sure cut corners when building this model. Both the freezer door and the fridge door are missing storage compartments where an obvious gaping empty space is sitting there doing nothing. You have to hunt down and buy them - and if you want them to match the other compartments they’re about $90.00 each. Wonder what else they cut corners on…?
How wide do the doors swing open? How much clearance width does the fridge need? I don't want a fridge whose door will bash into my cabinets on the adjacent/perpendicular wall in the kitchen. Thanks in advance!
Anyone know of a freezer less fridge that WORKS? I need to replace my Whirlpool one that has been repaired 6 times in 2 years! The dealer is suggesting this one, and it has nice features but reviews are bad!! I thank God for all your reviews! I’d appreciate any suggestions.
He hit the nail on the head. "Looks high end" That's where it ends. I bought a Frigidaire Professional, Freezer lasted 4 years, bought a new set because they changed the handle and bolt pattern. Next set, the Fridge lasted less than 2 years. These are garbage.
@@mhxxd4 Slow leak in the system. Likely from the factory. Finally got big enough where the freezer could not compensate for the leak. In fact just since my original comment, the compressor went out on the replacement freezer. Again, these are GARBAGE. AVOID.
I have an error code 5b in my freezer. It works but very cold like freezer burn and Ive tried everything from reset to unplu overnight and I cant reset it. The lights nolonger work and Ive had it for one year😢. Any assistance is appreciated. The settings wont come up for me to adjust it.
The 5b is actually Sb, which is Sabbath mode. There’s a way to reset it. It’s made that way for those religions who turn off their appliances to honor the sabbath. There are a number of TH-cam videos that show how to turn the Sb mode off. Hope this helps! I’ve been online looking at how to correct the crisper drawer placement in my fridge and came across a tutorial for that.

Piece of junk. Has known compressor problems which fails in under 5 years. Both mine and the house next ours has one. Both failed in under five years. She has done 3 repairs on hers before replacing it. I won't fix mine. They changed the size compared to the old model. Even worse, this is an odd size compared to other fridges such as subzero, true, etc so you have to alter your custom cabinets.
Frigidaire is scamming people by offering this junk for sale. We had ours for about a year before the fridge started to fail. It was a Freon leak which most repair technicians wont touch. I found a guy that was able to repair it but after another 6 month the control panel failed. So now if we replace it with more Frigidaire junk we would have to buy new trim kit and have cabinets modified. Total for that is about $7k!! Because of the size being 33” wide we can’t find another unit from another brand that fits, most are 30” or 36”. So basically we are screwed. Please do yourself a favor and avoid purchasing this junk.
He mentions that they are counter depth for a split second then quickly talks about something else. Dont even mention the depth when talking about the dimensions. I just cant trust anything he says if hes blatantly trying to misinform about how shallow it is. Wont even fit a full size pan in the damn thing.
Standard full size sheet pan is 26”x18”. Fits with room to spare. Can also place 2 half sheet pans side by side with room to spare. Full size hotel pans are 20 3/4” x 12 3/4” and can fit 2 side by side with room to spare. What on earth kind of pan do you have?
Nope.. compared with the other brands (Miele, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Dacor, Viking.. etc) this unit still very affordable, well built, good looking, very functional and pretty good!

Use Weiman Stainless Steel cleaner, it helps prevent fingerprints and smudges.

I've seen on MULTIPLE reviews that they are very loud too... something to do with single air compressor vs dual compressor (or something like that).

They're not very deep at all, so you'll need the width! I'm surprised how shallow they are.
