Moze's lore is pretty depressing...He was an orphan and was saved (but experimented by the sanctus medicus),and feixiao destroyed them. Moze thought of the Sanctus Medicus as his family, and tried to kill Feixiao the first time they met, and Feixiao saw her younger self through Moze, so that's why she keeps him around...
This reminds me that in the later Pink Panther movies, Inspector Clouseau has an employee hired specifically to help him improve his own martial art skills by attempting to assassinate him at every opportunity. But because it's a Pink Panther movie poor Cato just suffers as Clouseau's ineptitude keeps him from getting harmed. I now am seeing Moze as the ever suffering Cato, unable to assassinate his General.
