I mean, prosthetics exist for eyes (Dan Shu) and we know Foxians don't have Xianzhou Native problems with rejecting such things, so he can get eyes back at any time.
Can we talk about how this guy ate the space future equivalent of CYANIDE, got Bitten and drained by a Immortal super werewolf, didn't get medical help for an unknow amount of time (ETA about a day), AND LIVED. bro forget Abundance Or Nihility, this guy's path is Preservation!
Blindness is terrifying for Long life Species. They can get Implants but those are temporary as there Non functioning Eyes will literally grow back and push out the Implants.

This quest was a ride and I will admit Jiaoqiu losing his eyesight hit hard however I also have major respect for the writers for going down this path. They did not 'cure' Feixiao's chronic illness even though there is potential for Hooley's heart to allow her to survive with her condition, but also for doubling down by blinding Jiaoqiu. Way too often in media those that are chronically ill or disabled get 'fixed' which is an injustice to the character and the representation it is trying to show.

exactly! also stories are 1000% more satisfying when they having long lasting consequences and character development at the end rather than keeping every character static and fixing everything bad that happened (cough genshin) in an extremely anticlimactic way.

If you pick the red dialogue options, Everyone Jiaoqiu asked for help with, will all get killed by Hoolay. Right after that Hoolay pierces Jiaoqiu's shoulder. He then drank tumbledust which was the most lethal poison so Hoolay will also get poisoned when he drinks his blood. You can also get a report on his injuries somewhere on Luofu where it goes into detail on how much injuries he has sustained.
I feel really sad for him because he is one of my favorites and he doesn't deserve this, and what made me cry even more is that my cat who died in April was blind for the same reason, she was poisoned and lost her sight,,, oh my god how I miss her 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Man, I finished the quest, event and follow up quest and I have whiplash from the tragedy of Jaioqui being blinded when he made himself a weapon to the comic relief of Jaioqui keeps facing the wrong way while saying goodby to March, Dan Hung and Trailblazer because he's newly blind. The problem is less the eyes and more so the mind no longer receiving the stimulus from the eyes. I don't think implants could fix that. I do think Ruan Mei could potentially fix his eyesight however I doubt the writers will go that route especially since the characters wouldn't want to risk becoming one of her test subjects.
