They should have a push mode where it starts off at daytime and by the second objective it starts to get dark. By the end of the game it will be night time.

They should have like a 30 minute game mode where it goes from day to night to morning and in the morning you need to get extracted

Good idea, maybe like a 1.5 hour mode where it starts day, than night, than morning where you get extracted, so that way each time is 30 mins

@AlCeeProd2.0 Obviously they're not going to take it out, but if a new game were to release, they might not use it. More game developers and sound designers are starting to realize that NVGs don't make that sound when you turn them on, and because everyone likes cool little realistic details in video games these days, they ought to not implement them in their newest titles.
I don't mind that sound. It doesn't break immersion other than to sweaty nerds who wouldn't be able to lift an AR15 anyway

You had to have a TINY set of nv's for that sound to happen.
When you turn the nods on, you see more stars in the sky! I love it. The small details while under nvg’s shows they did their research
It's so weird hearing Mikee in game playing with Drewski, after listening to him scream in terror on Insurgency 2 for literally hundreds of hours.
Oh yeah, he does all the voice acting right? Or at least most of it.

This is beyond what I expected. By far the nicest adaption I've ever seen of night vision in a game.
They got every detail right in it. All of the little things that you wouldn't know unless you actually spent a decent amount of time with night vision stuff.

Only complaint is making the GPNVG a digital night vision system, which it is not. The technology for digital night vision is a ways off from what analog can do. Also, this game really understated the capability of night vision, you can see a lot more in real life.

Duuude the regular COOP is so much fun. Love the aimpoint shooting, just hope we get a 'Hunt' coop game mode. But this update is awesome! They said all of their bigger content updates from now on will be 'themed' so I am super excited to see what else they bring.
So, I was playing a night map not knowing what to expect, and Immediately put on the nods, run into a house, and got a flash popped right in front of me, and as soon as that happened, I learned that TV screens can be brighter than the sun.

Previously, the only thing that ever truly captured NVGs in a video game was Dslyecxi's NVG mod for ARMA 3.
But this, this is what happens when you design it as a core part of the game. Fantastic stuff!

I did the survey that they did a month ago, and I had asked for NVG on various updated night maps, as well as multiple TYPES of these NVGs. I even asked for them to add an AS VAL and an honey badger, Insurgency added all of that! I feel like they just listened directly to what my survey result was, but it was clear most the community wanted it, and I have to say, I'm going to be grinding sandstorm a whole lot more when this is updated to the main game! CTE Is a blast at the moment.
well if you wanted it more realistic they should add the depth of field thing where you cant tell how far away things are and also the only sight you can use is an eotech with the night vision reticle. the colors are spot on though.
*They should add flares to use on Open fields. Would be really useful on the highway snow map (sorry forgot the name) were they come in like crazy then hit the hosues with the NVG*
Damn it feels weird hearing Mikee talk casually about something. It feels like he's giving the COOP briefings in Insurgency 1. "The insurgents have a cache in this area. Take suppressors, move slow." etc :D

Just a tip for anyone . If you play as the insurgence. Use the gas. Everyone’s running nvgs not gas masks.
I use nvgs and look for the nvg lights people use.

Something I just picked up on. The AT/PIAL or the PEQ-15’s laser is coming of out where the IR illuminator should be.
Check out Ground Branch. They do NODs pretty well and the tactical gunplay is great too, with high port, low port, working LPVOs much like Tarkov, a good optic switch system, etc. They have a huge update coming up soon, so check it out.

I expected the basic pvs-14 but the fact that you can select different image enhancement tubes is insane.

Also the ir laser is basically useless for point shooting it completely obscures your target imo. The normal laser is much better for point shooting and the ir flashlight is great if you plan on aiming down sight or using an optic

i have to admit, the night maps are great. the shadows are very deep. to the point of where you can hardly see someone. it makes stealth seem viable and it almost gives me Splinter Cell vibes.
Last night I played the shit out of this mode before I snuck out and met some friends, felt like a literal teenage ninja.
Mikee is so humble
11:56 watching from this point at .25 speed, the attention to detail of the muzzle flash and shockwave is quite nice. I especially love the few sparks or embers going every which way out the muzzle to get it started. Not like it doesn't look amazing at full speed.
Nothing beats the m82 with the nvg point shoot

it'd be cool if they made defend type missions or survival mode (certain amount of waves or time limit till extraction)

War Thunder was so close to capturing this. I think they did thermals rather decently, though!
If I can catch this on sale I'm picking it up for sure, seems like I can get somewhat of a tarkov fix without ruining my underwear
i think the game would be fair at full price honestly. the only thing holding the game back is not enough people are buying it. ive never played the pve, but the pvp is fun. its a wave system respawn and people drop faster than tarkov. so there is still some consequence for dying and you want to live. it replaces gear fear with just general fear of not being able to play for like 30 seconds or so depending on the timer. i play it when i get tired of losing all my gear in tarkov and i feel like a god when i switch to this. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Suggestion: add bright flares that mess with the night vision to give an edge to the side that doesn't have night vision, it would be really cool asymetric gameplay to see the insurgents not have night vision but have access to blinding flares and be able to turn on floodlights

Insurgency 2014 had flares for one supply point. They did just like you said and also provided vision to a small area. So there’s a chance they’ll add it.

I've always thought a really cool mode for a game like this would be like an asymmetric 5v10 mode where one team is insurgents with low-tech gear and blufor has nvgs and silenced weapons to defend or attack a point. Might just pick up Sandstorm in the meantime.

Yeah I was wondering about that as well. It could be for some sort of balance reason if it’s not toggle, who knows.

Not only that, but they said that night maps are focused for CO-OP anyway so doesn't matter too much if its a tad OP :D What I reckon would be awesome would be if the IR laser on/off was a toggle for point shooting (exactly per one of it's IRL uses) *edit and just wanted to add: imagine if they made it so that a laser on a pistol enabled point shooting for day maps! Nice video! I've used some NVG/STANO, and this is looking really good. Much sharper than what I remember.
The hardest part can be depth perception.
My only gripe is the white lights. The light emitted just doesn't seem real to me. The splash from the light just kinda breaks the immersion for me a little lol the rest is awesome. I just hope they tweak the lights

Hey Drewski, I’ve been playing Insurgency for quite some time now, so I know my way around the game. Can you tell Mikeee to FIX THE DAMN MOLOTOVS?!? When they’re thrown at you by AI, they’re like heat-seeking missiles, or apparently all insurgents have a hell of an arm. And the AI is still a little buggy. Some are dumb as a bag of rocks and stare at walls, and others are like SOF. I’ve left a review a while back on Steam, but of course, like most devs these days, they don’t really fix the problems before uploading new content. I really want to like the game but those flaws just kinda take away from the fun every time I play. Thanks Drewski, keep up the work!
Saying RPG! right before getting RPG'd brings so many memories back of old games and movies that do that, I love it.
