- In one of my most expensive videos ever .... for a variety of reasons as you'll see in the video... I put a homemade cider making machine to the test! This machine can turn fruits and other things into cider, plus make wine, mead and much more! It was intense, but I learnt a lot from it and hope you do too. It has inspired me to try and make it without the machine now, so look out for a follow up video!

Costs 250.. Doesn't even have a heating element to keep it at the optimal temperature.
Such an expensive gadget and it doesn't even contain a heating element. Fail.
Regardless of how good or bad it is, the second you said 'app controlled' I was totally out. The second the companies servers go down it's a brick.
Don’t give it away! It would be interesting to see you use it trying other recipes. Seems like a waste of money and videos ideas if you give it away so soon, at least use it for a few months to create content on this channel.

mead is so easy to make without machines, really REALLY easy.
Imagine trying to describe to a medieval person that you couldn't brew your cider because it wouldn't connect to the 4G router.
Hey Barry. I've been brewing my own mead for a while now. You seem to be of the opinion that this machine is brewing the cider for you, but really it's just monitoring it. The process would be very much the same "the old fashioned way" only making sure that you sanitise and air-lock everything yourself. Considering the machine didn't even regulate the temperature, I would say that it is not worth the cost. If you do intend on making any more alcohol from scratch, it can be a long and patient process. Especially mead which can take months. Please look into things like the difference between yeasts and potential for alcohol to become infected as it would be quite sad to see you spend months making a drink only for it to become vinegar. Chloe calling you all out for your vices was my favorite part of the video 😂 reminds me of how I used to call my mum out if she had the slightest bit of alcohol in her cupboard (now I’m that person who doesn’t get drunk, but still has a full cabinet of spirits because I like making drinks. How the turns have tabled I guess, haha)

I remember my mother loved cider when I was growing up. She had a very specific brand she was always on about. Always saying how much she craved Dickens cider.
for 250 quid i would have thought it would have had its own built in heating system like a bread maker
