Since they are short nosed, they do overheat in the summer or just anytime it’s hit or if they get super excited fast, but you can research different ways to cool them down by using a wet towel and I think by putting their feet in water.
They are extra work then my other two short hair frenchies. Mine has an ice dog bed (ice goes inside the waterproof bed) and dyson fan in his room. Also walks are hotter for him so we try to go early or when the sun it setting.
i have a fawn-pie frenchie, but this.. its sooo fucking adorable and cute ^__^

So where did the long hair come from?
I have a litter of 7 and five are visual fluffy, the funny think both of the parents are not visual fluffy and we don't know they are fluffy carried . Lol.
As cute as they are, they are not purebred. They obviously had to infuse long-haired chihuahua and breed back to frenchie to get the hair. As far as registration, I'm pretty sure they hung papers. Nowhere in history has there been a long-haired Frenchie.
I like them, but I'm not sure if I think they are better looking than the normal short-haired pups. Just not sure. They are all cute as can be, though.

I would’ve thought someone had curiously breed a Pomeranian with a Frenchie to get that and then breed from there
My neighbor said she bred a Pekingese (because it's also flat face) and her Frenchie and got a dog that looked like a fluffy, but she had to dock the tail.
What do you get if you breed a fluffy carrier to a fluffy carrier?
The odds would be a 25% chance of visible fluffy offspring in that litter.

A crossbred, say french bulldog X shitzu, or french bulldog X pekingese or french bulldog X lasa apso might actually be more healthy than this crazy mania for inbreeding. Horses can be registered as halfbred or quarterbred but ancestry is traced and recorded so inbreeding doesn't happen and you get the best quality animal health wise. Young animals are graded and entered into the breeding data base whether they are bred are not. They should do this for dogs and create a responsible crossbreeding data base and eliminating more genetic health problems and bad inbreeding..
I hope those of us who love this breed of french bulldog do not approve of this change 👎
This is pretty much a pomeranian mixed with french bulldog
These are crosses they were never around in the 80’s so yes they mated whatever in the beginning but the long hair was not around until recently and because they added whatever longhair toy dog. Pomeranian pekineses or whatever, just like the color blue or Merle was not present in any of these dogs had any gene been present it was bred out a long time ago. They only say it’s a gene but rare and that’s why, but it’s not true today you see them everywhere that’s because they will sell you this ( fake rare which is just a recent cross) you guessed it $$$ ~ any person who has been around dogs knows and the lies they tell you to sell a dog for a fortune is unreal. They are selling you mutts for big cash.
I would kindly say that this is crossbred somewhere along the line. Frenchies are supposed to be short hair and no lilacs or blues or chocolate etc. no fad colors man
