OK, I've scoured the internet and can't find out how to do this, but I know you know. In this video, the chrome trim piece at the bottom of the bumper, over the tow hooks. How do you get it off? I know the black plastic pieces above it snap off, but how does the chrome piece come off? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Now, I own a 2021 Ford F150 XLT (301A) package. This truck came with halogen fog lights. I purchased the LED with running light fog lights, can u do a video on of how to replace the actual fog light lamp (not the bulb) ???? Also, do I have to change the wiring?? thanks
Yes you'll have to do a harness for the fogs. The drl in the fogs is tied into the high beams. As for replacing the fog lights themselves there are a 4 bolts to unbolt. I'll make a video once we get moved into new house!
going to have to bumper off to tweak on the crash bars, do you think it's possible with the way they mount to just stack a couple washers on the bolts to make a bit of spacer, 1/2" or so to avoid having to trim anything on the corners for tire clearance?
Thanks for this! Also going to need to do this to turn the lower DRLs amber for my project haha. When you disconnect the clips to the electronics, it wont mess with anything in the computer right?
No sir, no issue just disconnecting/reconnecting. And if you're planning on changing the drls be prepared to have to either do new led chips on the PCB or get rid of the factory leds and run a strip and power them separately. I'm working on a spare set of each right now
@@MrBoom50 I was thinking of opening the housing and just seeing if some amber film over the end of the light tubes might work. I definitely don't have the tools to replace the LEDs in the PCB, otherwise thats what id like to do haha. If you're already doing that for this truck build, I'll see how you go about doing it!
@@MrBoom50 I just saw the listing on ebay, almost 600 bucks for a really bad looking grill. I feel bad for anyone who spent money on garbage like that.
@@brentneahring2797 haha yeah, tbh just as previous years. The platinum and limited grilles are the nicest(my opinion) and stx a 3rd place. I ran with an stx on this truck instead of a platinum because I liked the big open area for when the turbo build can begin
Would be lovely, and if possible, that you could you should what the front of the vehicle looks like with only bumper removed. Making plans for fabricating a front bumper since there is no after market ones that are to my taste. It is on the CAD now yet my new truck is still delayed forever. Ugh :(

Push down on the little tab where the piece that flips up is, might be easier using a small flat head

Does the grill need to be off first? Or do you think i can get the bumper off by itself?
You can remove only the bumper, but removing the grille makes the electrical connectors and bolts easier to access.
Is this only for the 5.0l ? Or is the bolts just as visible on the 3.5l ecoboost ?

The trim piece above the bumper needs removed as well. (The one held on with 4 7mm screws)

Yeah, you can add washers to space the bumper just a little bit

Waiting for the gen 3 raptor style grills and a kit to connect the drl lights to form a full C shape

How do you remove that chrome trim on the lower portion of the bumper?
Handful of 8mm bolts, pop the front plastic pieces off, and pop it out

It’s 6 bolts , no need to take the grill off to remove it.

The grille was already offf... so this shows how/where the bolts are.
