As for the girls I just think they like the eye contacts and I've seen idol boys wear them too.
The girls wear contacts to make their eyes look bigger (beauty standars as well) OR just because it's pretty. And why the guys don't grow facial hair is because one of their beauty standards is to look young and and I don't think facial hair really gives away the vibe that you're still young like "flower-boy" young. Still overal facial hair is not so popular in Asia, South-Korea is not an exception on this ofcourse. I hope you got your aswer :)

I still prefer crazy. but this is still good, the chorus grew on me after a couple of listens. their song canvas on that album is great as well, shame that theres no music video for it.

the reason korean young idol men don't grow mustache is that they don't look good at all with those baby-like faces.
Some actors with mature facial shape sometimes grow hairs on their faces, and they look quite good.

Korea does things different than we do with promoting. A new album/song is called a comeback. And they perform live every week for about a month (sometimes longer if the song is popular). The popular tv stations in Korea have music shows which are dedicated to live performances. Think TRL on mtv only the performances are live instead of mv. And instead of mtv think abc, fox and cbs. And usually at end of these shows (music bank, inkgayo, music core, ect) a winner is chosen.
They are awesome. You should have them react often.

Many wear contact lenses or colour their hair to stand out bc having black hair is often considered as boring nowadays in east Asia. Pale skin is also a thing since ancient times bc the paler the skin the less you have to meet the sun (and work outside on the field or street, which indicates that you are either working in a high position (in office) or are from the aristocracy. That´s the reason why all the girls wear so (SO) much bb and cc cream and work heavily with filters.

Well contacts especially in Asian teenagers are very popular because it opens and brightens the eyes and makes up look more awake/cute. In Korean culture it can make the ageyo(cute) eyes more ageyo like.

No its mostly because of the concepts of being a pretty boy. Or what they call it a "flower boy". Usually when people first see kpop what they notice is that the guys look lile girls or they're androgynous. Or they wear a lot of makeup. I think half of it is because thats how the industry goes and the other half is its acceptable in Korea to wear makeup and the guyd there tend to care more about looks and their faces. Some men in Korea will wear BB cream to make their complexion nicer and to protect them from the sun and thats acceptable. For the girls its just something trending you buy colored contacts in a lot of stores over there.

Hey +AJ ...+Lamar and +Zwynn..........I can answer both of your questions.....First one.....Why do Women wear contacts......When you come from a country where the dominant eye color is Brown. You tend to want to Mix it up. Also if you notice they take a lot of fashion queues from America! (I.E. the Timberlands )......Second one.....All Asian culture in general have little to no Body Hair.....this is genetic and not something that they have control over though the little they do have..... they have a way to get rid of that too and there are procedures. (But that's a whole different subject) In Men tho, other than the occasional mustache you really won't find men with facial hair in Asian Cultures across the board. (Korea, China, Japan) They Praise a clean shaven face as a Culture. As we have seen in the past.... like with anything and anywhere.....fads will break out here and there but mostly little to no facial hair always holds true. #2YearJPLang

For the most part facial hair isnt a trend in korea for what they find attractive. They prefer their men clean. But that doesn't go to say that they dont have facial hair but you usually wont see Idols with facial hair. As for contacts, i know that they wear circle lenses sometimes to make their pupils look bigger to give them a doll kind of look but they creep me out personally. But the colored lenses im guess its a fashion thing. Most asians have brown or dark brown pupils so it gives them a different look.

Theyre asian they dnt get much facial hair. And the culture in korea is not like ours. They boys are meant to look metrosexual to appeal to more fans. They just seem to have a different sense of beauty in korea. Here were all like No homo and im a man and manly this and man that. There they arent afraid to show affection towards one another without seeming gay. And they dont have to constantly be proving their manliness. Its a very different culture there.

Male singers don't have facial hair because lots of people don't think it's too attractive on a young man, also the male singers are idols. If you were to explore more genres in the Korean culture, most of them are old people, and they have facial hair.

The reason why men don't have facial hair is because its a beauty trend in Korea, especially amongst idols that its better to look younger. Lots of older men may do though. Same as the girls. Since asian girls can only get dark brown eyes its fun for them to change it up a bit.
