    The creators implemented a very thought-out color scheme/code to this movie. Gold for heroism, green for wisdom, blue for tragedy, red for power, and brown for humility and hard work. It’s used practically FLAWLESSLY when you look at things like characters’ eye colors (Shifu’s inner sorrow, Tai Lung being the hero of his own story) and clothing (Po doesn’t know WHO he is, hence his patchwork pants!) It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the colors all throughout the trilogy!! 💕

    I can sum it up a bit for you about Oogway. Oogway knew that Po was the dragon warrior. He also knew that Shifu was still dwelling on the past, that is why he hesitates to teach or believe in Po. From the beginning, Oogway asked to see Shifu to test Shifu’s patience, hence why he was blowing the candles one by one. If Shifu had let Oogway blow out all the candles perhaps it meant that Shifu wasn’t impatient and he wouldn’t be the cause of Tai Lung’s escape. But because of his impatience, Oogway knew that inevitably Tai Lung will escape because of it, that is why Oogway told Shifu of his vision and said “One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it,” when Shifu told the duck to go double everything in the prison. Because of Shifu, Tai Lung escaped. Oogway ascended into the afterlife to help Shifu too. Oogway knew that his time was up, and if he didn’t go Shifu would not have the courage to believe in himself again because he relies on Master Oogway for guidance and wisdom. So now that Oogway is gone, Shifu would have to believe in himself and Po, that’s why Oogway left. If you watch all three movies, it’ll make more sense. Oogway has achieved enlightenment and thus he didn’t really die, but that’s all I’ll spoil for now :)

      @XEvilFoxX 3 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      The movie really hones in on Shifu's journey as a teacher, from Tai Lung (only accepting and praising his students when they fit his mold of "ideal kung fu warrior") to the Five (accepting some amount of difference in his students' fighting styles but never praising them, being generally emotionally distant, and still bending their methods to fit his stagnant style of teaching) to Po (engaging with and fully accepting that Po is a unique individual, and bending his teaching methods creatively to fit and express acceptance towards his student's pain, what motivates him and what makes him special).

But it also does a phenomenal job resonating with many other audiences as well.

    *There is no secret ingredient.* Never gets old. The Dragon Scroll is reflective. When you look at it in the hope that it will give you strength, skill and power you simply see yourself. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: to become the Dragon Warrior you have to be chosen, then trained to be the best and once you have become the best you are given the Scroll which will "help you achieve your destiny". But if you're judged to be great enough to become the Dragon Warrior and worthy of the Dragon Scroll then you're already the best of the best and don't need more power. *You* are the secret ingredient.

    Master Shifu and Po have such an amazing dynamic. Po being the overly confident pupil and Shifu being the extremely strict but well meaning teacher. Sure, he was trying to get rid of Po but that was only due to the looming threat of Tai Lung and the need of a proper Dragon Warrior. And when Oogway chose some random Joe who just so happened to land in the arena that had no talent for kung fu it no doubt instilled fear in him knowing just how dangerous Tai Lung was. But after their little heart to heart and actual training their bond as student and teacher strengthened, instilling Shifu with more confidence in Po. At the end of the day his treatment towards Po in the beginning, while cruel, wasn't unfounded and had reasoning. But after both realized they may have messed up and started seeing eye to eye, only then could he help Po unlock his true potential. A student must trust his master and vice versa.

    I've seen some people say that they feel bad for tai lung and they feel like shifu was at fault for what happened. I get there were some things that shifu could have done right and maybe Tai lung wouldn't have done what he did but at some point Tai lung has to take responsibility. He hurt innocent people because he didn't get what he felt he deserved. I get Tai lung was angry with Shifu and that would be justified, but I can't feel bad for him because it doesn't matter how much someone hurt you. Hurting others especially people who have nothing to do with your situation, is not okay. He proved Oogway right, instead of finding a way to prove him wrong or talk to Shifu he chose a path of destruction.

      @@rockzilla1664 I'm confused, so let's just say in the real world. You have a shifu and tai lung relationship. Tai lung goes on this killing spree because of what happened with his father. He kills and hurts innocent people. Now he gets questioned by the police and what is he gonna say? How can he justify what he did? Is he gonna say my dad disappointed me, are they gonna blame the father for what Tai lung chose to do on his own? Trust me when I say there were plenty of times I was mad at my parents, my dad is barely in my life and doesn't really want to be much of a parent to me, but I would never hurt anyone because of our relationship and what I was mad about because I felt like he did something wrong to me. Shifu could have done better, I'm not saying that he did nothing wrong but what Tai lung did as a result wasn't Shifu's fault at a certain point in time you make your own decisions and no matter what people do to you, you can choose how you respond and Tai lung chose to respond with violence and not just towards his father but innocent men, women, and children because he was let down. I'm not trying to undermine his feelings but he made his bed when he responded the way he did so I can't feel bad for him after that.

      @@rockzilla1664 I understand what Shifu did and I understand the problem but what I was trying to convey is that Tai lung did what was expected of him. Sure Shifu could have had his back but I'm not talking about that I'm talking about what Tai lung did to those people I can't feel bad for him because it's never okay to hurt people just because you were hurt. That is my point, and that is my opinion. I'm just expressing how I didn't think Shifu was at fault because of how Tai lung reacted because at the end of the day his reason doesn't fly when you are trying to tell someone that you hurt them(someone you don't know who has done nothing to you) and their family because your dad disappointed you. That, what he did after he was denied was not Shifu's fault. He wanted the Dragon Scroll and Oogway denied him. Shifu could have comforted him and told him that he was proud of him but that darkness was still there. You don't escalate to hurting children if you don't already have that serious darkness in you anyway. So maybe he wouldn't have done what he did but I don't think that Shifu responding better than he did would have kept Tai lung at bay Tai lung would have still felt like he was owed the dragon scroll and he probably would have tried to convince Shifu to tell Oogway to give it to him. He would have still been denied. He probably would have been more sorry if his relationship with Shifu was better but at the end of the day I think he still would have done something horrible, but hey that's just my opinion and I'm not trying to get you to take my side I just don't feel the way you and others do.

    DreamWorks always planned to make 6 Kung Fu Panda movies. (Look it up if you didn’t know that.) This is what will probably happen in Kung Fu Panda 4, 5, and 6.
    In Kung Fu Panda, it shows Shifu’s backstory. In Kung Fu Panda 2, it shows Po’s backstory. In Kung Fu Panda 3, it shows Oogway’s backstory. In Kung Fu Panda 4, it will show Tigress’s backstory.
    In Kung Fu Panda, the villain had the power of body. In Kung Fu Panda 2, the villain had the power of mind. In Kung Fu Panda 3, the villain had the power of soul. In Kung Fu Panda 4, the villain will have the power of words.
    The villain will have a talk with Tigress to mess with her brain. But it doesn’t work at first. Tigress will change near the end of the movie. Then, there will be another new villain in Kung Fu Panda 5. The new power in Kung Fu Panda 5 will be elements. The villain will teach Tigress the power of elements and it will end in a cliffhanger after Po defeats the villain after Po learns elements and uses it on the villain. (Everyone knows that Tigress hates Po because she wanted to be the Dragon Warrior. Who else became a villain after not being chosen as the Dragon Warrior? Tai Lung did.) Tigress will be the villain of Kung Fu Panda 6 and technically a villain of Kung Fu Panda 5. Tigress will learn the power of dark matter because since Po is good, it’s the one thing he cannot learn. Tigress will have every power Po has and even one he does not have.
    Kung Fu Panda was kinda sad but happy and a little immature. Kung Fu Panda 2 was very sad, dark, and mature. Kung Fu Panda 3 was a little sad and the mix between mature and immature. Kung Fu Panda 4 will be a little dark and very mature. Kung Fu Panda 5 will kinda happy and a very dark and the mix between mature and immature. Kung Fu Panda 6, who knows?.

Also, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this to you yet, but Tai lung's nerve attack didn't work on Po because, like when Mantis was trying to do acupuncture on Po, Tai lung can't find Po's nerves under all the fat :)

    I can't wait to see you going all the way to the end. as good as all three movies are, they saved the best for last!

    The fact that tai lung escaped within 4 minutes is amazing and he is super strong and smart. One thing that caused that was that Zheng was molting at the time so maybe it wasn’t the best idea to send a bird

    Kung fu panda is on of the greatest cartoons ever made for kids. I'm willing to go to war for this opinion
