    Your peppers are gorgeous!
    I may skip strawberries next year and try something else in that house. Something a little less labor intensive.
    Hope you’re enjoying the cooler temperatures as much as we are!
    Take care my friends!
    Chuck

      Yeah the strawberries are a bit of a chore. We are planting even more pepper plants. So easy to take care of and the customers love them. We think they will be big sellers in the winter.

    Hi Katy
    I don’t now if I ask this question? When you go to the Farmers Market, How do you know Cost wise to price each of your vegetables??

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. The best thing I can tell you is of course what we see in the stores and then we look at what the other vendors are selling their goods for. we know how much we have to sell our product for (cost) and we have an idea what we would like to sell it for. Many vendors at our Farmers Market sell high. we don't really believe in that. we are always trying to build a following. People who are committed to buying our products every week. We want to give them a good value and still make some money. We believe in bringing as much product to the market and selling out then having high prices and not selling everything bringing stuff home and throwing it away. Case in point. 3 weeks ago, we had tons or colored bell peppers. The Amish stand was selling peppers for 3 for 5 bucks. We sold ours 2 for a 1 dollar. We old out and the Amish complained to the market manager we were too cheap. In the following weeks we have always sold out our peppers even thou we raised price to 1 - $1 the Amish sell no peppers and we are doing great. Is that bad? No, we want to kill competition, supply a good product and have loyal customers. Thats my thoughts.

    What variety are those strawberries? Those plants are huge. I cant remember what you planted them in. Is that coco and perlite?

    • @HomegrownPassion

    Have you ever tried to hang sunscreen over the face of the wet wall? Keep algae down and might help in cooling it.

      Hmmm never tried that. It would have to be something that would still allow the air to go through. Will look into that. Nice suggestion... thanks

    I remember you mentioning the importance of rapid rooters a while ago for propagating expensive seeds with more certainty, that advice was golden ❤

    Interesting shot of your wet wall. I had to install one in one of our greenhouses this summer. We collect rainwater off the greenhouse to feed the wet wall. I am adding a timer into the system to run one exhaust fan for 60 minutes. This will be to dry off the wet wall, when the pump shuts down in the evening. Great looking berry plants. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you for sharing your tough experience. I noticed sooooo many mosquitoes as well after our recent storm. It's really challenging to work on my hydroponics with so many mosquitoes. Pls share if you find any thing to combat them. I've used hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorous Acid but it doesn't seem to work on the mosquitoes larva.

      Our only way to get away from them is working in the insect exclusion. We are hoping for a cold spell to knock them back but your right. This year they are really bad
