    Willy is a year old. He had 2 top fangs. One actually fell out as he was chewing on a bone. I'm hoping the other one will fall out. I have used dental floss when I notice something in between the baby tooth and the adult tooth!

    I am a vet as well and i second this doctor here entirely. If your pup's baby teeth haven't fallen have them pulled out by a professional vet.
    It is even more necessary on mixed breed like the pomeranian-poodle for instance, or mixes between breeds with completely different teeth. Because sometimes the pups inherit the jaws of one parent and the teeth of the others and this is catastrophic.
    This also sometimes happen among human beings as well with biracial ethnicity any dentist will confirm you that.

    My puppy is 6 months with baby canines. Took him to vet and told him this. Vet told me to wait till 8 months to see if they fall out on their own. This vet told me a lot of incorrect info. As did the two vets before him. It is VERY hard to find a good vet where I am. He's already been fixed at 2 months old by rescue (yes, that young). What do I do? Actually wait two more months? You said in this video that it is highly unlikely to fall out after six months. What is a typical price range for his procedure (as mentioned, already neutered)? Thanks

  • @beveragebox4166
    @beveragebox4166 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I literally just had my puppy neutered and saw that his adult teeth were coming in, in front of his baby top canine teeth and the vet never said a thing. So now it's going to cost me more money to have those teeth pulled and i think that was a sneaky thing to do on the vets part. Now i dont trust him and looking for another vet.

    My 5 month old shih poo was chewing a bone chew and I noticed what I thought was a piece of debris of some sort. Only to pick it up and see it was his teeth. It has a blob of red stuff in what seems like an almost empty shell for a tooth . I'm not sure if that's normal. Should I be taking him to the vet? I unfortunately dont currently have the money for a visit right now. Is it ok to just leave it alone?

      Hi Jocelin, hopefully your pup is doing okay. A trip to the vet would be ideal but we recommend keeping bones, antlers and hard chew toys away from dogs because they can fracture their teeth and the bones can splinter into shards that can penetrate the tissue of the mouth, pharynx, stomach or the rest of the digestive tract. Have a look at our resource for other treat ideas: www.healthcareforpets.com/question-answer/do-you-recommend-bones-for-puppies/. No, get the teeth removed (preferably by a veterinary dental specialist) and do not de-sex your dog. De-sexing is probably the major cause of most of the common, serious, canine ailments: Obesity; joint and bone problems, arthritis, endocrine disease, lowered immunity, etc. Leave your dog intact and if that is not possible then wait and do it no sooner than 3 years but preferably not before 5 years of age.
