Not sure about the shuttle but the way they calculated the speed gave them a severe advantage over how tournaments calculate it, so the number means nothing

Are you saying if you drive on a highway the cops would not be able to measure your speed because you are sitting inside the car and able to look at the speedometer instantly? Sure, to you, numbers mean nothing given such senseless comment.

The way they calculated it here is by measuring the first few frames right after the bird comes off of the frame using a speed camera which is a method that results in higher numbers than the tournament radar gun method. I said the numbers mean nothing because it doesnt translate well to what the person can hit in tournmanet

Second, as to the tournament, I suspect you did not watch enough doubles games to see how backcourt players, when using two-legs jump, had just the same amount of preparation time as shown in the lab tests. Because the back player had more time for recovering only in the back (as the teammate guard the net), jumping at full power would be similar. If you were saying that even at the record speed the smash would be defensible (and thus not guaranteeing a win), I'd agree. But you did not say that. Questioning lab records or technical measurements is the lowest level error one could make in an argument against a valid claim. You could have said the smaller racket head introduced more mistakes or the less head strength reduces durability (both would impact real world competition performance). Yet you didn't. Again, your misinformation comment were not further than the flat-earthers' belief. So, think before you type.
