@@valandil7454 Regardless of how common it was, it is good armor. I actually like the fact that you take so little damage in plate, compared to other games. Hitting a steel chest plate with a sword really has no effect in reality, but in movies and games it has really good effect and sometimes you just pierce a plate with a single handed sword. Getting hit with an axe or two handed sword on your steel gauntlets can still break your fingers, though, and getting hit in the head will cause discomfort and disorientation, while not doing real damage. I think what people underestimate the most is how fast your stamina will drain in this type of combat, especially for an average person. Even athletes become tired and overheated really fast as you can see in medieval armored cage fights.

I heard they nerfed unaimed swinging in recent patch. However, this thing is quite doable if you grind your strength, warfare, and weapon skills like crazy. If you are outnumbered, your manuevers become very important. Standing still or only making small movements is fine if you are only facing 2 or 3 weaker opponents, but it won't work well against stronger opponents or if you are facing 4 or more. Initially, i just wanted to wound him to make the swordfight quicker, but one arrow to the head (yew bow) and runt is dead, mind you i was actually aiming for the torso. Then it cuts to a sword cutscene with Henry in a final swordfight struggle with runt. It was anticlimatic. Warhorse didn't think that through lol
Great I'm happy that you're awesome at the in game combat. I'm still on my first play through and I'm getting better but still not good. After multiple attempts at a sword fight only to eventually lose. I pulled out my bow out of desperation shot him a few times and a 3rd shot hit him in the eye. DEAD. Seriously though the combat system in this game if you play the game correctly and not cheat and go for "Best Starts" isn't easy on your first go through. Had I not come up with the bow I likely would have quit out of frustration.
Ditto. Backed up, hit him once with an arrow (not sure what it hit because he hit me at the same time) but second arrow right to his dome piece and bam, lights out.
When I try to do the same, it doesn't work. Every second swing I do is parried with a master strike. Within seconds I am surrounded by 4,5 or 6 armoured guys. They strike and push me and the camera goes flying, I lose all awareness where i am. You are medieval Chuck Norris
They Patched (nerfed) how weapon damage scaled with skills/perks before the patch once you started nearing 15+ in stats you could pretty much one hit ko every enemy no matter what armor they had. Mind you skills like warfare are still powerful as without high level you will swing slower and enemies will block and even master strike you much more.
Man's got one of the best sword. I think it's St. George's sword based on the icon. Also he's attacking without the star shaped thing on the cross hair (0:46 example). So if you attack the enemy they can't block.
how's that possible to deal such a big damage on heavily armored enemies with just a sword? i'm using the same sword and i'm lvl 20 at swordsmanship. but not only it's hard to not get perfectly block everytime, but even if i land a hit the side swings like that more like damaging armor and not actually damaging the opponent, it also looks like you don't stick to opponents as easy so you can do random swings at them with no chance to block, are you not using vanilla settings?
I almost got killed by 5 farmers the other day, and my technique is not bad. They patched the crap out of it, plus that if you get surrounded and gets your stamina deplete = gg Sometimes you can godmode through anything even with several enemies, and sometimes you just die It's very unbalanced, and the camera doesn't help either. Good game nonetheless
@@Arthad What's bugging me the most is that so many enemies does a perfect block, even peasants! Even with only one enemy hell bent on defence (for me they can stand 20 seconds and longer without attacking, I've counted), it's almost impossible to kill him (let alone 3!), clinch and hopefully a good hit might do, but other than that... I got so annoyed at it, that I've been playing all night now, leveling bow. They can't block an arrow to the face! One shoot one kill, all the while I am screaming so loud I almost wake the neighbours "DO YOU LIKE THAT?! DO, YOU, LIKE, THAT??!!"

Reminds me of Sir Lancelot crashing the wedding in monty python and the holy grail.
You don't need good armour, when you're using a mod.
03:00 guy parries and hits you twice, health unchanged. Hmm...
... but you weren't wearing any armor?
I noticed the *good* in the title
@@PGawol He is wearing the best armour in the game.
Captain Bernard would be proud
I mostly didn't enjoy wearing heavy armor, at most some mail chain And combat jacket. I enjoy the speed
You don’t need good armour, just a god sword
but he has good armour, well he has best armour
Henry: I am speedddd
i wonder what sir radzig will said after u kill many of them
When I try to do the same, it doesn't work.
Mind you skills like warfare are still powerful as without high level you will swing slower and enemies will block and even master strike you much more.
you can do the same with a halberd
No need for armour, just high level, high stats, the best perks, and to strike when half the camp is naked. EZPZ
Hmm something seems off when I did this I had 20 strength and best sword and I didn’t just 1 tap armored dudes like in this video
What is your armor loadout
some monty phyton next level knighting skill here
This is not possible anymore with the 1.3 patch.
A good offense is a good defence
Why are they SO weak?
Man's got one of the best sword. I think it's St. George's sword based on the icon. Also he's attacking without the star shaped thing on the cross hair (0:46 example). So if you attack the enemy they can't block.
Yea this game is just, really easy for some reason, I just clinch and then 1 hit kill them with an overhead mace strike.
Aurourus well they did want the game to be realistic
how's that possible to deal such a big damage on heavily armored enemies with just a sword? i'm using the same sword and i'm lvl 20 at swordsmanship. but not only it's hard to not get perfectly block everytime, but even if i land a hit the side swings like that more like damaging armor and not actually damaging the opponent, it also looks like you don't stick to opponents as easy so you can do random swings at them with no chance to block, are you not using vanilla settings?
I almost got killed by 5 farmers the other day, and my technique is not bad. They patched the crap out of it, plus that if you get surrounded and gets your stamina deplete = gg
Sometimes you can godmode through anything even with several enemies, and sometimes you just die
It's very unbalanced, and the camera doesn't help either. Good game nonetheless
@@lawrencewindisch7076 i totally agree, a group of peasants does more damage to me than a band of bandits somehow
@@lawrencewindisch7076 you sure you’re not trash bro?
